Mountain View Camping

We had a wonderful stay at Mountain View Camping- Kadanga Creek. The site was well grassed, flat and had trees spotted throughout the area for shade. Lovely, well kept portaloo. We will come back again.

We had a lovely stay at Mountain View Camping! The site was spacious and peaceful — plenty of room to relax and enjoy the view. Our dog had the best time running around off-lead and exploring freely, which was such a treat. The shared portaloo (one for about five groups) was clean and well maintained. Overall, it was a great experience and we’d definitely love to come back again. Thanks, Natalie, for the clear directions and warm hospitality!

Brilliant Campings Grounds

Great camp site! Very quiet and great grounds, the toilet was very clean as well! Christmas tree farm is right next to the campsite and it seems like a real tight community around that area, making me and my partner feel very safe on the grounds. All in all fantastic!

Off leash with a creek

Camp site was well maintained grassy area, quite flat. The 3 porta-loos we shared by the campsite, they were clean and maintained daily. The creek was close and lovey, enough water to swim. Dogs were off leash and loved it. Communication with the owners was great.

Lovely place to stay

Lovely place to spend a few days! Garry was awesome, nothing was a problem. Campsites were mostly flat and well spaced out. There was loads to do in the area or, if you prefer, you can head down to the creek at the back of the campsites and dip your toes in! Or (next time we go) take a floating seat and enjoy being in the middle of the creek. Definitely recommend! Thanks Garry for all your brilliant help! 😁😁

Bloody great spot!

Shady, grassy sites right by the creek — perfect for a dip. We had two sites (Platypus and Kookaburra), which meant plenty of space to spread out and a bit of privacy from the other groups. One was creekside, the other just behind. Portaloos were clean and stocked (always a win), and the owners were super lovely. Lots of fire pits around — shame about the total fire ban because it would’ve been magic sitting around one. It’s only a quick trip into the Kandanga Hotel too if you need supplies or a cheeky restock. Peaceful, tidy, and properly looked after. 10/10 would camp again.

Site 1 - Kookaburra

The sites were spacious, green, and beautifully shaded — such a nice setup with easy access to the creek. We had two sites (Kookaburra and Platypus), which worked perfectly for our group. One was right on the water and the other just behind, so we could spread out but still hang out together. Facilities were spotless — the portaloos were clean and stocked, and it’s clear the owners really care about the place. Plenty of fire pits scattered around (just a shame we had a total fire ban while we were there). Handy being only a few minutes from the Kandanga Hotel too for a restock or a cold one. Super peaceful, well looked after, and just a genuinely lovely spot to camp. We’ll be back for sure!

Was an excellent weekend. Grounds clean, portaloos provided, cleaned daily. Excellent spot for dogs, quick access to a creek perfect for the dogs. Plenty of room per camp-site to off lead FRIENDLY dogs. Highly recommend.

Beautiful camp ground.. spaciously set out. Well cared for area to enjoy with awesome creek access. Complimentary toilets is a great bonus. The campground is rural quiet.. so good! Birds delightful and a visit from a local juvenile goanna.. great pics. A stones throw from the town of Kandanga... thumbs up for Mountain View campground

Camping with our pets

We have been to this camp spot before. This is the second time as a family so we booked out all 5 sites. Dog friendly which is great seeing our 9 person family has 7 dogs. There is a creek for them to have a swim and in summer also a great spot to swim yourself. Peaceful, relaxing and Garry dropped by with a truck full of firewood which was fully used in the provided fire pit. Will go again.

Camping, Cows and Relaxation

Very spacious camp-site for a weekend getaway, theres so much to do and the area is very well maintained. Owners are super nice and welcoming and allowed us to come and watch the milking of the cows which was really cool to see. They were genuine as it truly shows the hard work they put in for the milk they provide and work so hard for. Will definitely be returning in the near future

Relaxed camping with the bonus of a portaloo which was clean with loo roll, soap and air freshener. Sites are well spaced. Access to the creek via a short walk. Didn’t quite manage to see the platypus, think we heard it hide from us.

Can’t recommend this place enough, such spacious campspots, very well maintained and a stunning sunrise. The owner dropped by and he was a legend, even dropped of heaps of firewood for us all. We will be returning.

Platypus stary Nights.

What a beautiful place to spend camping & relaxing under the landscaped trees spread out on the level green grass. Stary nights a plenty just after the watching the Platypus play in the creek whilst enjoying a cold beer & wine. Gary & Natalie are excellent hosts with great communications keeping us warm by the fire with firewood. Evan has a Loo with a view (if no one else around). Near by Kandanga & Amamoor are great little towns to visit with a lovely drive through the Amamoor Forest. Invite one & all to come & stay & go home refreshed. Thanks Gary & Natalie for allowing us to camp on your homely farm property.

Absolutely stunning spot! Tucked away in peaceful back country, this Hipcamp was the perfect escape. Waking up to a breathtaking sunrise with nothing but birdsong and fresh air. Being able to camp with the dogs was great and heaps of area for them to run around. The view alone made it worth the trip, but the quiet serenity sealed the deal. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature.

We enjoyed a beautiful 2 night camp and this very well maintained campground. Outstanding and welcoming hosts. Also blessed to witness the cow milking at the Dairy. Lots of small birds in the trees along the creek running along the side of the campground. Overall we highly recommended this HipCamp.
