Phonse is a great host, very hospitable. The property has everything you need including a well appointed camp kitchen. Also has the bike trail right outside the property which is ideal

We went for a quiet weekend. We liked being able to take produce for a small fee for fresh eggs, and greens from the garden to add to our dinner.
Toured into Hervey Bay for a wonder and toured around the local area.
Toilets and showers were clean as is the large camp kitchen.

We had a fantastic stay at Moonys Camp! The sites were spacious and well laid out, offering plenty of room. The kitchen area was impressively complete, equipped with BBQs, microwave, and fridge. We stayed only one night as a strategic base for our K'gari day tour, but would definitely recommend staying longer to fully enjoy the place. Highly recommended!

Stu at Mooney's was a great guy. The camp is well maintained, and facilities are clean and organized. We had gone out for the day and when the wind really picked up Stu contacted us to advise this and had secured our van awning from being damaged with extra tiedowns and pegs which he owned. We were extremely grateful as it could have cost us. The grounds are very flat and level and grassy. Would highly recommend staying here if in the area.

We loved the peace and quiet of this place. The caretaker Stewy, was the friendliest person ever and showed us around everywhere. Basic ammenities that were well maintained, camp kitchen area was fabulous and even a little sand pit and playground for the little ones.

Such a great and caring place ❤️. This camp is so safe for kids ❤️ and pets, they have loads of things to play and walk but also the owners are amazing 👏. Definitely will do this over any hotel.

Huge TV was a bonus!!
Loads of equipment tables, chairs bbq etc.

We had hit a roo so we're a day late to our cam ground, but when we arrived stewy (the caretaker) went above and beyond to make sure we settled in well and had everything we needed. We stayed 12 nights and Stewy was always making sure we were OK or if we needed anything. We stayed with 4 children and it was just amazing. The staff and the land is amazing. Thanks stewy for everything

Absolutely loved our stay! We were greeted by Stewy the caretaker and he was very welcoming and easy going! His wife is also very friendly!
The amenities and camp kitchen are clean!
There are pigs and chickens on the property and you can buy fresh eggs.
Plenty of trees around and the sites are spacious!
Would definitely stay again!

This was just a quick last minute overnight stay for us because we screwed up our accommodation in town. This was an absolutely beautiful spot and so quiet. Even though we didn’t get much time to enjoy everything it had to offer we will definitely be back for a longer period next time.

On arrival we were welcomed by the lovely caretaker Stewie who showed us where everything was and made us feel settled in.
The facilties were very well kept, and always a bonus to have a few toilets and showers.
We had a large area to ourselves and got a good night's sleep.

Great hidden gem, caretaker greeted us and was very accommodating, nothing was a problem. Some farm animals for the kids, great friendly environment, gate locked overnight so a safe and secure campground. Highly recommend Moonys Camp.

I loved Moony Camp. The caretaker geeeted us when we can in and the owner Phonse come over when he got there and introduced himself. Really lovely people. They delivered our firewood to us and they also have a fence and gate and the gate is closed at night which was nice. Went for a push bike ride along the trail straight from our van. The kids had an absolute ball. Once this place is fully finished it will be even better. Definitely 5 stars from us and very well maintained property
