The property is a tropical fruit farm, zoned 'rural' and is nestled amongst other banana farms and small acreages. The property has mountain, rainforest and farm views. We live on a country road. It is very peaceful and quiet at night. Great for star gazing, as there is low light pollution. You can walk to the beach in around 10-15 minutes. Shops are a little further and include post office, tourist information, restaurants and cafes, clothing, massage, Lennie's fruit shop and a small supermarket. You can purchase take away alcohol from The Tavern in the main shopping area. Woolworth supermarket, chemist, banks and bottles-shops are in Wongaling, about 10 a minute drive.Modern cottage in traditional Queenslander style, just a few minutes drive to the beach, to cafes, restaurants and retail shops. Relax on our organic fruit farm with stunning views to world heritage rainforest. There are little touches to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Plenty of room for families. It's all yours including the 2 bay car port with lighting. Plenty of room to park a boat which makes being only 1km to the beach very handy. It's surrounded by open spaces down to the seasonal creek. The views of the world heritage rainforest and mountains are breathtaking. 144 square metres with 3 bedrooms - one with a King bed (main bedroom room), one with a Queen bed and one has a single bed. Large, spacious and fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, pantry, dishwasher and microwave. Kitted out with crockery and cooking utensils, it's a cook's delight! The windows are all screened, there are fans in every room, even the bathroom. The home is elevated; a true queenslander, allowing breezes to circulate underneath, and through the home, keeping it cool. There is also a large air conditioner in the main lounge room, helping keep the house cool. There is a large 4 metre deck off the living area and a balcony that runs along the bedrooms. For families, there is lots of open space around the house for kids to run around on and some amazing fresh water swimming holes during Summer on the property and nearby to enjoy. Kilometres of walking tracks up the mountain for the adventurous.

We loved our stay at Mission Beach Farmstay—it’s such a beautiful way to experience the area. The peaceful setting gave us the chance to watch local wildlife wandering through the bushland, which was a real highlight. It’s perfect for travelling families who prefer to avoid the bigger parks, and the hosts couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful. We wish them all the best with their gorgeous property.

Quiet Farm Stay

This was a great spot to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet while only minutes from town. The kids loved the animals and dogs and had the best time! Highly recommend as a base for exploring the area.

Rainforest organic adventure

Friendly Welcome by Caitlin to a green level spacious paddock below a sizeable hill, property has rainforest and various chooks ducks and wildlife. Walking tracks and close to the beach 1km for a short walk shops are further on a couple of km.

We loved our stay at Mountview. It is so well set out and is a really beautiful place to camp. Our kids loved the animals and were very excited to have a buggy ride around the farm. The movie night and Friday and Saturday night was also a big hit. We highly recommend staying here as a base for Townsville and Magnetic Island. You won't be disappointed.

We loved staying in our caravan at Mountainview - so much space but still close to town and all the things we needed. Beach close by-you could hear the ocean at night. Our kids had THE BEST time with the chickens, ducks and pigs. Hosts were incredibly friendly and answered the 100’s of questions from our kids inquisitive minds-thank you! The walk through the rainforest and the maze of the hill were a favourite too. We even were lucky enough to see a Cassowary on the property both days. Thanks again for having us! We will be back!

First of all Kaitlyn is a great host, very welcoming! The mountain view is amazing, the quietness is great, we were able to visit the farm animals and orchards. We even had a wallaby come by the field right next to us. And the beach is only 3 minutes drive away. You have to be self-contained. I fully recommend this stay!

What a beautiful place to stay and within a couple of minutes from the town centre. Kaitlyn was very welcoming on arrival of the farm, the paddock on which we parked up in had the most beautiful views, the kids fell in love with the chickens who were super friendly and we were so lucky to see a cassowary right near our caravan!!! Such a surreal experience! We highly recommend staying here!

My hubby and two young girls stayed for 3 nights, we all loved our stay, it’s a great, peaceful location with a large flat green property so we could just drive the van straight in. Our kids loved the animals, Kaitlyn was a lovely host and even showed us around the farm. We helped feed the pigs, chickens, ducks and loved their friendly dogs. We spotted wallabies each morning and evening and even seen a Cassowary in the farm! Our girls said they would way rather stay here then a normal caravan park.

We loved camping here. Our site was on lush green fields running to the foot of rainforested mountains. We were here by ourselves and there was plenty of space for other campers and it would still feel private. It was very quiet with only the sounds of birds. It is only a couple of minutes drive from the town and beach if you want to go for a swim or visit the shops. Kaitlyn was lovely and very accommodating, even offering water as we drove in. We would recommend coming here and we would definitely stay here again.
