Kooyalee Chalet

Bungalow · Sleeps 28 · 2 bedrooms · 28 beds · 4 toilets
“Kooyalee Chalet” is the perfect accommodation for groups who want to enjoy the great outdoors but don’t necessarily want to camp. Located on our 4.2 ha property the chalet provides a home away from home for 4 to 28 people. Bring your family and friends to Kooyalee and enjoy starry nights and campfires with all the comforts of home. The chalet is fully self-contained, dormitory style accommodation. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large gas oven and cooktop, microwave, fridges, freezer, and crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Perfect for catering for larger groups. There are two separated sleeping quarters – one with 24 bunk beds and the other in an adjoining room with 4 single beds. The chalet also has four showers and toilets. Indoor or outdoor dining is provided for with a gas BBQ in the undercover outdoor area. Six 6-foot tables and chairs are available for you to set up as required and depending on the number of guests. Guests can also sit around the campfire at night, taking in the bush views and starry nights. Please bring your own wood for the fire or request a bag of firewood at the time of booking (extra fee applies). The property is located 20 minutes from the coastal town of Yeppoon, which has beautiful beaches and Rockhampton CBD is also only 25 minutes away. If you love adventure, Kooyalee sits on the doorstep of some beautiful hiking locations and mountain biking trails. Set up camp and use the property as your base to explore. Friendly wallabies and occasional kangaroos also like to share this delightful property with our guests. Points to note: Guests must take all waste with them upon departure. Guests should also leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy state upon departure. Fire is allowed only within existing firepits and not during the fire season when there are bans in place (usually summer). No long showers as water is very scarce at the property. We only have tank water and in the dry season, the tanks run low. We therefore ask guests to keep showers to three minutes and not to run the tap excessively in the bathrooms or kitchen. Thank you. Pets are not allowed indoors at any time including at night. They must be on a leash outside at all times and are not to be left alone. We have wild animals passing
