All UPDATES/NOTES listed below are in answer to common questions we are asked - please read all before requesting a booking, especially the need to confirm your 4WD status and camping platform at time of booking request. Our property is 4WD access. You are risking your booking and vehicle if you turn up in a 2WD or family SUV. See Extras for booking park and ride option if your vehicle is 2WD. UPDATE as of late July 2025 - the creek is dry.. Some of our tracks are rutted and may become slippery in wet weather. We do basic maintenance to keep access open for 4WDS. Be prepared to apply your 4WD skills. Kobble Creek West is accessible from several locations on our property boundary. Ideal for creek exploring and rock hopping. There’s even a small lagoon now awaiting. Check out the short hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience! You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk. Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars. All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. You are welcome to enjoy our off-grid camping with the expectation that facilities are minimal. NOTE: Surcharges exist for a number of circumstances, including day visitors and single-night bookings. These can be found in the Extras and must be added at the time of booking for your request to be accepted. NOTE: Please also indicate that you are 4WD and your camping platform and size as you book. This enables us to site you appropriately. NOTE: Each site has a stand alone camping toilet bucket, located behind a small shade cloth screen near your camp site. You’ll have a seat to sit on, a lid to close, and the need to throw some Leaves and grass in each time you go.

A small pad capable of only handling a small tent or a couple of swags. There is a small swag sized platform, and limited flat ground. This is one of our original sites, high up on the property boundary with spectacular views to the East and total seclusion (except from the keenest fellow campers keen to make the walk to check out your view). Access is via a steep 4WD only track that requires confident turnaround on a steep slope. Located 50m uphill from Grassy Spur 3.

Open grassy paddock, usually mown. Grassy Spur 1 is the broadest, flattest location providing ample space for any tent/trailer setup. Ideal for larger groups by arrangement. You may end up sharing the spur line with other campers if booked. Spacing of 15-20 metres plus can be achieved between sites.

Located 30m off our creek line access track, this secluded site is accessible just before having to navigate the uphill 4WD track that leads to Grassy Spur and the Forest. NOTE: You will be Camping on an old track cutting, vehicle-width, relatively flat for small tents/gazebos and end fold campers. You are slightly elevated above the creek line, and creek access involves a fence crossing and a 50m cross slope hike with a little bush bashing at the end.

We had an amazing time at this quiet and secluded campsite. Unfortunately, the creek wasn’t running, and there was a fire ban in place, but it didn’t take away from the peaceful atmosphere. Marcus was an excellent host - friendly, helpful, and went the extra mile by assisting me in removing a broken wheel while I was changing a tyre on my vehicle.

Beautiful bush setting close to Brisbane, not just boring flat paddocks close to other campers. A fun little drive in and the lovely Kobble creek to explore. Marcaus was a great host, who gave us a very clear and helpful brief about his property. Good phone reception in places and very clean camp sights.

We loved the site which was on a grassy flat area on the ridge line and a great spot to watch the stars. The property is in a beautiful location surrounded by mountains with a beautiful creek running through it. Host Marcaus and his family were wonderful and ensured we had a comfortable stay. As per the description the tracks require a proper off-road vehicle and add a bit more adventure. We had the caravan on the back and got stuck heading out. Marcaus was nice enough to give us a tow and get us on our way safely which was amazing!

The host Marcaus went above and beyond to accommodate my last minute booking. I stayed up by Swagman Heights and it was extremely peaceful. Just what I was looking for. The drive to camp was plenty of fun too. Will definitely be back :)

Stated at swagman heights and the view was great. Definitely can only fit a swag, we had a small tent and had to sleep on a slope as it wouldn’t fit on the platform (had messaged the host beforehand and he had said it would fit). The bucket we were given for a toilet would have been ok if it wasn’t for the other campers coming up the top to see the view. If they had come up at a time we were using the toilet it would have been an interesting introduction. But if you go in knowing that only a swag will fit and you’re prepared for the odd camper to come up the top to your sight to see the view it’s a nice place for a camp. Sunset and sunrise were great from up the top

Awsome spot, great view, unfortunately my trip was cut short but will hopefully return one day soon. I walked down to the creek which was at the time flowing with fresh water, clean enough for a dip if you can find a deep enough spot. Very simple sites, host was very accommodating! Would recommend :)

To be clear, Marcaus was a brilliant host and was extremely polite, patient and helpful. The property itself is in a great location for anyone Sunny Coast/Brisbane based however I would very much emphasise the need of a 4WD. It gets very steep and slippery in the wet and can be hard to navigate. The site we were given had enough room for a large swag/small tent but little more. Majority of our setup (kitchen etc) revolves around our vehicle which was difficult to access due to the steep incline leading into the site. However, the site was extremely peaceful and we were spaced out enough to have some privacy! I think the pricing is quite expensive considering the space we were provided and the effort I took to get there, especially paying an extra 30% surcharge just for staying a single night. We booked to feed the goats, however it was never spoken about during our stay so we just proceeded without it. There is absolutely potential for this to be an amazing site with just a little more care and maintenance and we are glad to have stayed none the less!

We loved our camp at Kobble Creek Family Farm. Marcaus and his family were great hosts and went the extra mile for their guests. Even driving us in to our site with all our gear and a dog! Definitely require a 4x4 to access the camp sites. All wheel drive is not a good idea don’t risk it. Forest Deck 1 is a great spot that’s quite private. A few decking boards were a little rotted and broke during our stay but Marcaus is aware and replacing / maintaining as necessary. Highly recommend!!

Stayed at the forest deck site, which had an awesome setup. My toddler loved the elevated deck to set up the tent on, could hear the creek running. The host was super helpful. It was worth the trip

I loved car camping by the dam at Kobble creek family farm. Enjoyed a campfire under the stars and away from all distractions. hiked through to the creek and enjoyed the cool flowing stream. Best thing was the host showing a tour and map of the property. I could be completely secluded but still know someone was nearby!

Camping on Marcaus’ property was an amazing experience. We were positioned on the forest platform site, and enjoyed peace and seclusion. A short walk from the site, was a flowing creek that was easy to find thanks to a well drawn map provided by Marcaus. Finding the entrance was easy, but it was a pleasant adventure walking through the cool and clean creek to find where it meets a lagoon. Highly recommend bringing swimwear during the warmer months for a crisp dip, items we sadly didn’t bring with us. This site is not for the plain and unadventurous, requiring a 4WD to make it up the journey to camp was the most fun we’ve had yet. Overall, highly recommend this stay if you’re thinking about it!
