Welcome to Kapunda- St George River Front Tourist Park. *Under new ownership* Our tourist park is located on a private 37 acre secured property, 8 kilometres north of St George. We offer Powered and Unpowered River Front sites with firepits. The campsites are located along 1 km of Balonne River Frontage. We have plenty of room for all types and sizes of camping vehicles and tents. Fishing enthusiasts will love using our private boat ramp. Launch your craft and head out for a fish. We have a small shop selling bait, fishing gear, firewood and bags of ice. *You pet is welcome to camp with you (on leash). * If you are booking multiple sites side by side or in a group, it must be booked under the one name. Guests have access to toilets, showers, the laundry.​ Here you will love the bird watching, lots of native animals. Relax with a view of the water. Your journey to our property is along gravel all weather roads, and we can accommodate 2WDs. Beautiful views and easy to find. Perfect to pull up, stay hooked up and continue on our travels the next morning. Amenities perfect for what we needed and morning views were great. Would stay longer if we could!

We loved this spot. After a warm welcome we picked our site on the edge of the river. Huge firepit and cheap firewood available. The amenities were spotless and much appreciated . Sunrise and sunset were so peaceful overlooking the water. 5 mins outside of the lovely country town of St George, it was a gem. Thank you so much. We will recommend and return.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but there are a few things that could be improved. The riverside views are absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. Winding down in the evening overlooking the river was definitely the highlight of our stay. However, the riverfront sites are very close together, so there isn’t much privacy. The power outlets also need to be closer to each site. We brought a 15-metre extension lead and still had to run it underneath our neighbours’ vans just to reach the power pole, which wasn’t ideal. Also, be aware that the water is non-potable, so don’t fill your caravan’s fresh water tank from the park’s taps unless you have an alternative treatment method. With a few improvements to the site layout and power access, this would be an even better place to stay. The beautiful sunsets and river views are definitely its biggest drawcard.

What an amazing spot. We broke down at St George enroute to Birdsville, and even once the truck was fixed, my son and I ended up staying 8 days as it was so relaxing. Will definitely be back regularly and can't wait to see the dam once it is finished and stocked with fish.

Extremely friendly service. Loved the powered sites right on the river front with your own personal fire pit. Camp kitchen and new amenities fantastic. We stayed for 3 days, could have easily stayed longer. Very peaceful, Zane is putting in a lot of hard work. Will definitely be back to see his future plans he has for camp. Well done.

Stayed 2 nights here, site was easy to get to and is a short drive to town. We parked up right on the river which was lovely and peaceful. Took the communal kayaks out for a paddle which was fun. Had clear skies and saw loads of stars. Would have loved to stay much longer.

We loved our stay. We ended up in a powered site right on the river. Just a magic sunrise. Hosts were super friendly and accomodating. They took over 14 months ago and have just commissioned a new bathroom block and kitchen area which was all spotless and excellent. This stop was really great value and it is on our list to stop again next time we are through that way.
