Jack's Place is the perfect location for those seeking a peaceful and serene camping experience. Our site is located just 5 minutes away from Toogoolawah Town and is situated on 40 acres of beautiful and lush bushland. Multiple sites are available, all of which follow alongside a picturesque creek that runs throughout the property. We offer a spacious and flat grassy area to park your van after a long day of driving. Our campsite is ideal for those who wish to enjoy the quiet and tranquil surroundings while taking in a beautiful sunset, surrounded by an abundance of birdlife. Town is a short 5 minute drive with an IGA, Pub, Cafe, Service Station, Water Station and Dump site. Access to Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and only a short drive to Somerset Dam. For those travelling in large groups, please contact us to discuss your requirements. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and ensure that your camping experience at Jack's Place is unforgettable. Guests must be fully self contained with their own cassette style chemical toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. We had an amazing 3 nights. We were lucky to see a koala on the day of our arrival which was right next to our camp site. We had frequent visits from the 2 horses, kangaroos and multiple species of bird life. It was so relaxing, we didn’t want to leave. We also caught plenty of blue claw which were yummy. We would highly recommend this stay. It was also close to town if the need to purchase anything you had forgotten to bring, but still have the feel you were remote.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this campsite we found through Hipcamp. The spot was incredible, right in the middle of nature, peaceful and private, with that great feeling of being completely on our own. It was exactly what we were looking for to switch off and recharge. The hosts were genuinely lovely, friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. They also sell firewood on-site, which we really appreciated, and it’s a great way to support them, so definitely grab some if you can. Thanks to that, we were able to enjoy a proper campfire under the stars. The campsite was clean, well looked after, and everything was set up so that campers feel comfortable and relaxed. We honestly felt more like guests than customers. In short, it’s the perfect place if you’re after peace, nature, and warm hospitality. Highly recommend !!! we’d love to come back!

Awesome Hipcamp not far off the highway. Norm the host is a friendly fella. So accomodating. Campsites are well maintained and such a picturesque camp. Will definitely be back.

Pretty spot outside Toogoolawah

What a cracker of a spot!! Pretty little spot just outside Toogoolawah. The weather was a bit hot (35 degrees) and a big storm rolled through on Saturday night, but that's all part of the fun of getting away in your van for the weekend. Norm was great, checking in on us after the storm Saturday night. Such a pretty, unspoiled spot, and only a few minutes outside Toogoolawah when you can get a great meal at the pub. Mobile reception was a bit sketchy, but who wants to check emails when you can spend a few days in paradise ... right? Just us and one other couple there for the weekend. Thanks Norm and Liz for a relaxing stay. We will be back!!

Jack's Place offers large, well kept private campsites which are all set on the creek. Each campsite has a decent firepit and excellent quality firewood can be purchased. The property has two resident horses that are friendly and happy for a pat. There are numerous species of birds and one of the hosts took us to see a koala- great to see in its natural habitat. We were there during a storm and the hosts visited the campsites straight after to check on guests. We were greeted upon arrival and accompanied to our campsite and our firewood was delivered to us. We met two members of the host family and both were very friendly and welcoming. Great spot. Great value for money.

My second stay here, I love the peace and quiet surrounded by nature. Always feel safe, and really enjoyed cooling off in the creek over a few hot days. Bring a lilo to lounge around on and some apples for the horses! Thanks again x

Thanks to Norm and Elizabeth we spent 4 nights (8m caravan) and had a great time nice spot next to the creek which our 2 dogs loved ,also enjoyed feeding the horses when they stopped by for a visit will definitely be going back

Large flat area to set up camp. Our camp area was around 40m from other camp areas and we were able to drive through and set up camp facing a large pad. The creek/pools contain some red claw which would be fun to catch with more water in the creek. The location is around 25 to 30 mins drive from summerset dam. The close town Toogoolawah is a lovely place with a pub that has amazing takeaway pizzas. The host Matt took us to the camp site and explained the camp rules. He was extremely nice and helpful. Later we met the owner who helped us by taking down our gazebo that had blown down and broken in a gust of wind while we were away. Very appreciated. We enjoyed our stay and exploring the local area.

Once again had a great 4 days at Jacks place just sitting around and relaxing. Petting the horses, walking the dog, even went to the market in Toogoolawah. As usual most guests quiet and respectful of other campers. Had a chat with Norm who as usual always busy. Would recommend to all for a very relaxing time. Thanks again Elizabeth.

Second time I’ve been here and will be back again. I met Norm at the entrance on arrival and followed him down to my site, he drives around everyday to make sure everything is ok. First 2 nights I was there by myself and the peace was amazing, also got to spend lots of time with the horses which I absolutely love. Love the open space you get as sites are not on top of each other. Having friendly and helpful hosts makes all the difference as well.

Large Level sites with fire pits. Can buy wood there. Hors3s are friendly and visit throughout stay. Hosts very friendly and hospitable.
