We had a great time, yes the cicadas were loud but that didn’t deter us as the evenings are beautiful and quiet. The kids had a great time running around the field kicking balls, riding bikes and just being free. Mary the dog is to friendly and gentle even my 1 year old could pat her
We will be back at a different time of year thanks for a much needed break!

Flynn's Nature Camp
If you’re looking for a small and private campsite, Hidden Creek is perfect for a weekend getaway! With only about 5 sites on the lower grounds and 5 at the upper, we felt like we had the place to ourselves. We loved that there was a toilet and shower, which is very handy in the summer. The dog, Mary, is the most docile and sweetest pup; we have a reactive dog but they were attached at the hip the whole time and couldn’t stop playing together! The host, Janita, also graciously offers eggs from the chickens, firewood, and kayaks to use on the little river near the site. The town of Tiaro is also only about 10-15 minutes away for ice runs or anything else you may need. IMPORTANT TO KNOW: goes without saying, but bring heaps of bug spray/citronella/long clothes as the mozzies are terrible. Also, check with the host when the cicadas are at their peak; we inconveniently went during the 17 year ones that last about 3 weeks (end of December/January), and they were at 80-90 decibels, which can cause hearing loss. They are only quiet from 7pm - 4am, but it is deafening. Bring earplugs if you go during this time of year, lol!

Lovely stay although not much to do there and the cicadas were insanely noisy so cut our trip short

very chill, very accomodating!
very chill, how’s of the camp are lovely and accomodating, everything you want to do is in the camp site, and if you need something, the servo is 10-20 minutes away! But they have the cutest convenience store Wich saved our butts a few times! really nice spot and their dog Mary was a lovely bonus!
