GreyGum at Beattie Creek is a 64 Acre property a stones throw away from the centre of Kenilworth town. GreyGum is a horse property, playing host to a riding school. We have recently opened camping for horsey and non horsey people alike. With very limited camping spaces, we offer privacy, horse yards, hitching rails, a seasonal creek with swimming holes and toilets. Arena, round yard on property and off property trail riding is available at your leisure. There is spring fed dam if you wish to have a dip with your horse right on your camp sites. If you ask us how to ride to the pub or a donut, we are happy to direct you! (We like to ride to the pub for a beer!). GreyGum is a shady, lush and beautiful property with private access straight to Kenilworth state forestry trails (motorbikes and vehicles expected). To drive to camping space, you will need 4 wheel drive. In extreme weather events, we are unable to host. Noise must be kept to a minimum from 10.30 pm. Dogs are allowed, on leash at all times. All rubbish and mess must be taken with you. There are 2, spacious horse yards available, which can be split to 4 if you bring your own piggy tails and electric tape/equipment. If yards filled, there is space to set up your own pens. Horses must respect fencing. Trail rides, horse/ pony riding lessons (on our horses) and guided trails on your own horses are available if you need a guide through the extensive trails in the state forest. We are a small family run business and we live on the property. Please be respectful of us and we will happily share our beautiful property with you. Entrance to camp sight is on the KENILWORTH side of Beattie Creek, at the driveway with the GREEN BIKE. Please do not go up the steep drive on the Imbil side of Beattie creek. This drive is extremely difficult to get up with a float.

Campsite on Beattie Creek, without horses! Prices are per person. Multiple places to camp. Please check availability with owner, as we have to make sure there isn’t bookings coming in from other horse campsite. Please note, sight is only accessible to caravans if you have a 4X4 caravan with good clearance. Please message for any enquiries. Beattie Creek Campsite is a private camp ground, on the green banks of Beattie Creek. Horse yards are available 10 metres away from camp, as well as water close by. Camp ground can be accessed by 4X4 vehicles. Depending on condition of crossing, floats may need to be unhitched and securely parked at entrance of property. This will also depend on clearance of float/ caravan. So please ask questions if you have any concerns or plan to sleep in your float. Horse riding facilities are able to be used by camping guests, as well as arenas, round yard, equipment, on property mini trail ride and private gate into Kenilworth State Forest. Camping price is per person with horse. Extra camping person or horse, is a additional $25. Up to 10 people are able to book, however there are only 2 horse yards. Further yards and yard splitting is up to campers. Water buckets supplied by you for horses, and filled up at the dam close by. Horse poo in yards must be cleared and deposited in the designated area on departure. There are 2 horse yards available. When booking, please note that the extra person for ($25) can also be used for a extra horse (also $25). Please select 2 X extra person if there is a extra person and horse booking. Alternatively, please have your buddy book their own place with their horse ($54) on the same booking dates as yourself, let us know and we will approve. Thanks for your understanding! If you would like to check in early, please let me know. We want you to get the most out of to your stay with us and it shouldn’t be a problem at all!

Beattie creek overflow 2
This location is beautiful although we were disappointed. For starters the main reason we booked was to swim in the creek as we were camping right next to it. We arrived to a dried up creek which we understand happens but I think this should be disclosed in the camp site add or at least privately messaged. We were notified of a fire ban, so I feel it’s not too much to ask to let us know we are arriving to no water. We also noticed another family leaving when we arrived with floating rings in their Ute. It feels deceiving. The camp spot is also advertised as being on 60+ acres and we did think we would have the opportunity to explore but we only had access to a small portion that just goes in a circle. Like I said, beautiful spot and we still made the most of it. Just a little disappointing

The host Audrey was lovely and the spot was just gorgeous. So quiet beautiful running creek perfect for a refreshing dip. Our spot had a very convenient little table and chairs. As well as a fire place! Went on a trail ride with some of their lovely horses. Overall lovely spot will go again.

Our stay at Beattie creek with two families and kids was wonderful! It is a beautiful spot, with a flowing creek, with fresh cold water. Idyllic! Toilet is a bit of a walk to get to, so bring one if you can.

We loved staying on Audrey’s property. The camping spot is in a stunning spot along a creek. The kids also had a fantastic time and really appreciated being able to bring both our dogs and horses 👌

Fantastic spot just minutes from Kenilworth we absolutely enjoyed our stay we were lucky enough to have the entire camp grounds to ourselves for the night highly recommend and we will definitely stay again the host was amazing

Audrey was extremely helpful and we had there beautiful property all to ourselves with our fire prepped and ready to go on our first night , little table and chairs made it really easy as well , very happy will be back

Grounds are beautifully kept. Horse yards are large and have great fences. Surroundings are lovely, and the sound of the trickling creek as you sit next to your fire at night is divine. Horses should be either shod or have boots to go into the state forest as some of the roads/tracks are rocky. No toilet near the camp site, but you can drive back to it quickly. Yes, I would definitely go again!

A beautiful little stretch of creek and riverbank to camp. Hosts were awesome, friendly and helpful. A bargain for peaceful camping, suitable for small groups too. The horseriding school was an awesome surprise and the kids loved it!
