Hervey Bay is known as the whale watching capital of the world and is just 15 minutes from Fraser Coast RV Park. Hervey Bay has a sheltered location, and as such is the best place on Australia’s east coast to meet the majestic humpback whales with plenty of good tour operators. We have suitable offerings for all types of RV’s, campers, roof top tents, camper trailers, caravans, tents, swags and motorhomes. Come and visit us and enjoy everything the Fraser Coast has to offer. You will feel like you really are on holidays. Located at River Heads, a great getaway from it all, yet just a stones throw from K'gari (Fraser Island), Hervey Bay and Lady Elliot Island. We are dog friendly and also wheelchair accessible in the Bush Kitchen and Wallaby Wash House. Bertha the Retro van and Gertrude the Gypsy Wagon are not wheelchair accessible. Mango Lodge is a totally wheelchair accessible timber cabin which has an outdoor bath. 24 hour security access to your own private campsite. Free wifi, hot showers, flushing toilets, fully equipped bush kitchen and laundry. We have a designated area for dog lovers called Dogs Corner. There is a lovely paddock for the dogs to take in the country atmosphere and located right next to the 40 acre nature reserve with 4kms of walking trails, what better way to Escape, Relax and Unwind. 69 species of birds have been identified on the property to date. We also provide dog minding services! Photo updates supplied. Cost is $50 per day (add to your booking). All you need to do is supply your dog bed and food. Recently our guests enjoyed a trip to Fraser Island and were very impressed with the service provided. So if you love your fur baby and you still want to have a holiday experience, just come and stay here and we can enhance your stay by giving your fur babies a holiday too. You may be moved to a different site if your chosen site is too wet. We use Good Riddance products for the midges & mozzies during summer because it works, its non toxic + deet free. We have dry firewood (hardwood) available on the verandah for $15/15kg crate. If the site you have chosen is unsuitable, please let us know & we will allocate you a different site. There are plenty of sites to choose from.

Bertha is an on-site caravan. She is air conditioned with double bed and plenty of cupboard space, relax, escape and unwind. If you want to get away and you don’t want the hassle of camping, here is the solution. Bertha is an ideal way to enjoy this beautiful location in the heart of the Fraser coast, on a budget.  Suitable for couples this old fashioned van is perfectly positioned near Gertrude (on site gypsy wagon) , the Tank Block with 4 showers and toilets and the Bush Kitchen.  This old fashioned Aussie van has all the comforts with air conditioning and double bed. 24 hour security access with Australian out-house right outside. You can also make use of the Bush Kitchen and laundry facility at Wallaby Wash House. There is an awning over the van so you can enjoy sitting outside at night and stargazing under firelight with a few chairs, your own fire pit and BBQ. There is a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.

Mango Lodge a fully self contained solid timber slab cabin on 75 acres, 3 minutes to Fraser Island ferry. You are self sufficient with your own kitchen, bbq. Double roll-in shower, deep claw foot open air bath on back porch overlooking 100 year old Mango Tree. Relax and unwind while taking in the magnificent sunsets and the many species of birds. Kangaroos abound. A genuine genoa lounge suite to relax in and a fully restored 150 year old wood stove add to the authenticity. Disabled friendly Over 4kms of walking trails on the property with over 69 species of birds. Sea Eagles nest in the huge Ironbark tree overlooking the cabin. Located at the back of the property to ensure maximum privacy. You are self contained and self sufficient with your own access road. The entire solid timber slab cabin is self contained. You have access to the entire property which is 75 acres (excluding personal private fenced yard area). You have the whole cabin to yourself - no sharing The cabin is located down the back of the property. There is a laundry facility if you are planning on staying a while and need to wash your clothes. Clothes dryer and ironing facility also available. A fire pit and bbq out the back. Up to 4 single beds can be configured. Suitable for all types of wheelchairs. Pros: 1) Toilets and showers were nice. 2) Place seems to be secluded with gated access. 3) Community kitchen and place to charge phones etc was nice. 4) Fire ring is provided by the office which is great and helps control the fire. 5) Great night sky since there is minimal light pollution 6) Woolworths is 20 mins drive, Fraser access is 5 mins down the road. Cons : 1) We were given a location different to what we had chosen without any prior information before arrival, we booked this site quite a lot in advance. This was a spoiler as we were pitted next to a single family with a little one. 2) Management should have set expectation as they kept getting disturbed for no reason. 3) Midges and mosquitos are in the millions here. No product available in the market seems to work. Our experience, especially for kids who were going for the first time was spoiled because of this. Frequent fumigation, vegetation clearing should be done by management to help control. I would expect this is a cheaper facility but not at a location like this. Only thing that the management says that works is the expensive “Good Riddance “ product available at the office. However what we heard from fellow campers was different. 4) Bring your own firewood. The ones available at the office were a bit damp and took a lot of time to burn. 5) A water point closer to the site would help as we had to walk quite a bit just to get some water to do things like washing utensils.

A beautiful campground with plenty of room to move. I liked the the bush kitchen and all the information on the table. Kitchen and amenities all very clean. Nice to see the kangaroos and hares hopping around even a few cockatoos.

What a beautifully kept place. Top quality bush themed toilets, showers and camp kitchen equipped with everything you need. Took a lot of stress getting our stuff out. Mark the property guy was awesome with a great welcome and great stories of local history and friends. Would definitely come back some day. The only thing to watch around su set and beyond is the midgees!!! Smashed us! Thanks guys and goodluck! Monique and Brad

Overall we had great expierence. Toilets,showers, kitchen well build and always clean and looked after. 10/10 Unfortunately it wasnt as private as we expected, i think ad is a bit misleading. Also cancelation policy is very strict and always a minus if plans changed, we had seperate booking, had to leave earlier but few days before cancelation offers 0 refund.

Cancelation policy super strict, which is always a minus, if plans changes, and this is what happened to us, as we had our booking in 2. But had to leave earlier. And 0 refund due to strict policy.

Great camping areas with good facilities. The amenities were excellent and bush kitchen well set up. Laundry facilities were very good and reasonable cost for machines. Quiet location close to k'gari barge. Would highly recommend using a good quality midge and mosquito repellent such as good riddance.

It was a lovely spot with scattered trees some grassy areas with lots of space around us. We had a camp-fire and walking distance to Tank flush toilets & hot showers and camp kitchen which were a fabulous bush design and extremely clean! Highly recommend 👌 Just be wary of the sand flies and mosquito's take the repellent

Dog Corner
Such a great camp! Clean, tidy, and friendly. We were offered to select an alternate site from our booking at the Dog Corner spot. We found the site down at "3 arrows right" and loved it. Very private and a great spot for our dogs to play. Also handy in that the camp is close to River Head boat ramp. Plus an inside tip that the Indian take away at the Spar was VERY good! We'll be back

Great spot. We enjoyed the privacy of Choppers Corner and the facilities, whilst rustic, are very well maintained. Overall campers are well spaced out amongst trees with plenty of bird life. Highly recommend.

Suzanne's camp ground was beautiful. There was a huge area available with open spaces or areas among the trees and the various areas were spread out so it felt quite private. The amenities had lots of rustic charm and were clean and easily accessible. I would happily come back again.

We had swags, hilux and 5.7m boat. Camped down the back (3 arrows right) was great spot. Big fire every night, watching the stars was awesome! Had to walk or drive back up to the amenities but we didn’t mind. Great camp kitchen. Showers and toilets are amazing! Suzanne was really helpful and nice.

Fraser Coast RV Park at River Heads. We stayed at top paddock, a well set up camp with hot showers, full equipped camp kitchen in a tranquil bush setting. Great option for the Hervey Bay area.

Suzanne’s place is great. Very clean amenities, it felt very safe and it’s so close to Rivers head which ensures a smooth kgari departure. Would definitely recommend her place to a friend.

Absolutely loved our stay. The camp site was beautiful and the facilities were abundant and clean. Suzanne offers dog minding which we took up and we highly recommend. My dog loved it and was in great care. All in all, great place and great people.
