If you want to get away from the rat race for a while this is your ideal location. We take one booking at any one time. You have the site all to yourselves. Your site is three acres of privacy and seclusion, rainforest and a beautiful freshwater creek. Close to walks to Araluen Cascades and the Wheel of fire falls at Finch Hatton Gorge. There are no facilities here, so you need to be fully self-contained. No wifi. No mobile coverage (great to get the kids off the screens). There is plenty of water, firewood and wildlife though. Sometimes you won't be able to access the site as creek floods in heavy rain - can be cut off. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Please note check in is between 2 pm and 5 pm unless arranged otherwise. Access is best suited to 4WD or High Clearance vehicles. Not suitable for small cars. The site is suitable for caravans/trailers 6 metres long or smaller. We can accommodate up to six vehicles on the site (for a large group. travelling together). Forest Flying rainforest activity is next door. Ask us for an early check in or later check out.  Apart from Christmas week and Easter the price is just $30 per night for up to 2 people ($15 per additional person), before fees and taxes. We loved it here. The dogs and kids loved playing in the creek. It’s was a little tight for our caravans but we made it work with some precise and advanced level reversing skills 😉 it was a beautiful and relaxing spot and the fireflies made it so magical. Thank-you

Amazing couple of days celebrating a birthday - had whole campsite to ourselves and our three dogs. Beautiful part of the world. Peaceful and fire at night - first time we’d tried our pop top.

Forest Flying Creek Campsite
We loved camping at Finch Hatton next to the creek. It was 100% private and a super quiet spot. The creek was very pretty and a few steps away. We used firewood we collected in the property but it’s a rainforest so it tended to be damp. The site has limited sunlight so it can limit solar generation. We used it as our base for exploring Finch Hatton Gorge (5minutes away) and Eungella (about 1/2 hour) and we thought it was the best campsite in the area. Would definitely come back- maybe in Summer for a creek swim.

This site was stunning. Plenty of shade from the afternoon sun, the creek right on site was perfect for a quick dip, and lots of location options for setting up. The lack of cell reception gave us just the break we needed. Donna was very communicative and accommodating beforehand. We will definitely be back in the future.

I’m losing count of the amount of times we’ve stayed here! It’s just pure magic. Peaceful, pristine, off grid. Everything that makes for a relaxing getaway. Beautiful rainforest, the coldest freshest water. It’s always a winner. One of the most beautiful places in the world.

Such a beautiful little spot. I will be better prepared and stay longer when I go back. The fence is the neighbours driveway. If your dog chases cars maybe tie them up 😅 my kelpie was a crazy stalker lady for the neighbous buggy ute and his kelpie.

Beautiful rainforest setting, with multiple areas to set up. All a short walk from the crystal clear creek that has some perfect swimming holes to cool off in. Very private location, and great amount of wildlife to observe. Donna gave very detailed directions to get there easily, and was proactive to make sure we had a good stay. Will book again in the near future

This is my go-to R&R spot. Not another soul around and a picturesque creek gurgling away all day & night. Tucked deep within the rainforest, it’s just what your mind and body need to reset from a busy life.

The site was beautiful and the hosts were amazing. The March flies came out in full force from around 11:30-5pm so just bring a bunch of insect repellent

We loved the peace and quiet, there were no other campers while we were there. Ulysses butterflies & beautiful dragon flies in the most vibrant blues was a treat to see while bathing in the very cold, but refreshing water. Surrounded by the sounds of nature & fresh air. And Fireflies at night, I haven't seen them in a very long time. The only thing that was a negative was the sites weren't good for caravans, we managed with our 14' pop top but it was a struggle to manoeuvre it in and out of the site. Otherwise, it is a beautiful peaceful camp site and we loved our 2 night stay.

We loved this place so much we extended our stay from 3 to 5 nights ! The creek was beautiful and refreshing the selection of sites were excellent. It was a joy to be able to let our dog off leash and enjoy . There are the expected camping creatures, python, fire flys (both beautiful) only downside were the horse flys that we battled with, but would stay here again for sure - thanks Donna.

A glorious rainforest location. Nice and private with a stunning creek running through it. Fabulous campfire locations and there are many sites to pick from although you are the only ones there. Lovely hosts. We would stay there again in a heartbeat 💗

Beautiful and quiet camping near the creek. So pretty and peaceful. Kids had a blast. Easy directions to follow and wonderful people to deal with. Make sure you make this one of your stops!

Just loved the fact that it was exclusive and beside a beautiful creek. Having our dogs off leash was an extra bonus. This is our second visit and will definitely be back again.

Beautiful private campsite overlooking peaceful stream. A couple of different spots along the stream to set up, plenty of room to turn around with a camper. Close to the gorge to do a day trip. Donna was very helpful, would definitely recommend.

A beautiful spot to get back to nature and unwind, right beside the creek. Close enough for a walk up the gorge and a short drive into Finch Hatton. Donna’s husband cut some firewood for us which was very much appreciated. A little damp this weekend, but still beautiful.

Great place well off the beaten track. There are 5 available camp spots, some closer to the creek than others. The advantage this place has over others in the Gorge is the privacy - you will not be disturbed. There’s a large flying fox colony next door that make alot of noise. I recommend choosing a spot further back from the creek and you won’t hear them. I’m looking for to returning

Most beautiful stay, so peaceful and private. Donna and her husband are so lovely sharing their piece of paradise. Plenty of spots along the waterfall to park up for the night. Our dog loved it as much as we did. We will be back.

Beautiful, beautiful location all to ourselves! Personal swimming hole that wasn't really deep but perfect for the kids to swim freely and I felt they were very safe. Lovely shade and so quiet. Donna and hubby were so helpful too!
