Our 3 acre property is located a convenient 10 minutes south of the Cairns CBD. The Cairns region has so much to offer. Head out to one of the eateries overlooking the water or chill out on the promenade with its free swimming pool. Take a scenic tour up the mountain to Kuranda and check out their iconic markets. Go snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef or enjoy a boat cruise to an island. The campsite features a large flat grassy area with great access for 2WDs and all types of camping vehicles from caravans to campervans and motorhomes. Plenty of room to turn your vehicle around and a lockable gate means your campsite is secure. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower and drinking water. Our front paddock is visited nightly by lots and lots of wallabies. We have fantastic sunrises and sunsets here. You’ll really love the great views we have towards the east and west. No campfires or pets please.

There b is great access for 2WDs and all types of camping vehicles from caravans to campervans and motorhomes. Plenty of room to turn your vehicle around and a lockable gate means your campsite is secure. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower and drinking water.  Our paddock is visited nightly by lots and lots of wallabies and bandicoots. We have fantastic sunrises and sunsets here. You’ll really love the great views we have towards the east and west. We only have 3 sites so you won't be staying in a crowded environment. We loved our stay at Alex’s place! Alex is wonderful and so lovely to chat too! It’s a great space with plenty of room. Short drive into the centre of Cairns, we stayed 4 nights and it was perfect for us to service our car/van. A great spot for a quick stop over too! Safe and peaceful. The Wallabies are every where and the sunsets are beautiful.

We enjoyed our short stay here. Alex was very friendly and helpful and her place was in a great position to head onto Cairns, the wharf or airport. We had a peaceful stay and enjoyed seeing all the cute wallabies.

Very generous campsite, clean, quiet, private, secure. Only 15 mins away from city so super convenient location. Great views of the sunset over the mountain. As per the name - you get to watch wallabies morning and night, great entertainment for the kids!

Alex‘s place was an excellent location, it was a great base for all our day trips during our time in Cairns. Alex was a very friendly and accommodating host, making suggestions for things to do in the local area. What we enjoyed about the stay was the close-up wallaby encounters, and the quiet location with lots of space. A note to fellow travelers; It was great that there was no road noise at all, yet It was close enough to the freeway. I would highly recommend Alex‘s place for your base while you are in the cairns region.

Lovely view of the hills and a delight to see the wallabies jumping around. Plenty of space for multiple people to set up without being too close. Close to the shopping centre and the main city while still feeling peaceful. The property is in a more residential location and is a little less private than we anticipated but still overall a great place to setup camp.

We had a great time at Wallaby Nights. Alex was an amazing host—so friendly and accommodating, really making us feel at home. The view of the adjacent grassland was stunning, with plenty of wallabies and birds to observe. The kids loved the playground situated under a tree in the far corner. There was a bit of construction work when we stayed there, but the machinery only started up at 7am and wrapped up before we got back to camp in the evening.

This camp is literally just someone’s front yard/paddock. No amenities or facilities, but was exactly what we needed. Just somewhere to park up safe and sleep for the night. Host was very friendly but feel the cost was up there for the space that was provided.

We had a fantastic week in cairns staying at Wallaby nights.. was so good to have the wallabies come in each day hanging around the camp, very handy to be able to fill tanks up with water that’s a great draw card.. nice and peaceful only noise was from construction site down road and speedway on the weekend but nothing that was any bother.. Alex was a fantastic host and we would definitely stay again when visiting cairns..

A large flat area with ample space for 4 campers to spread out and 15 mins from the centre of Cairns. Just perfect for us. Thanks Alex for sharing your land and the couple of good charts we had. We highly recommend this spot for those who want some piece and quiet.

This place is a real hidden gem, tucked away at the back of a quiet little estate. Peaceful, spacious, and well worth a visit. Alex is absolutely lovely and incredibly accommodating, which made the stay even better. The little creek out the back is a charming touch and a beautiful view to enjoy.

With very minimal options for camping facilities close by to Cairns, this spot is a lovely and welcoming stop after days drive. Grounds are flat, clean and have plenty of space regardless of your setup. Clear instructions and friendly host make it overall a pleasant stay. And watching the wallabies and birds was a nice way to end the day off. Even got to see fireflies at night.

Nice big field for camping in with lovely mountain views, and of course wallabies gallore. Alex was really lovely and welcoming. The instructions to get there were very clear and straightforward. We had a peaceful night there

Alex’s property is great easy accessible area , especially as it’s so close to main areas of cairns. I’ll definitely be back very easy stay for us with big setup, also has great views of the mountains ;-)

Great place to stay overnight near the city. The hostess was very kind to us despite our late arrival and gave us great recommendations. We were lucky to see plenty of wallabies, amazing! I highly recommend it.

Very convenient location for nights out locally or in Cairns city. A small green haven. Very lovely host. Beautiful view over a wetland teeming with life. Some neighbouring construction- did not affect us at all. So many wallabies to be seen at night. As we drove in after dusk we saw dozens of them grazing. So special. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
