Shearing Shed is amazing!
I would highly recommend David’s property. We stayed at the Westbourne Shearing Shed and wow just wow! The hot artesian baths out the back were amazing to watch sunset in and exactly what you would expect. The shearing shed is open to walk through and explore - complete with toilet and shower if you need. I actually can’t believe someone would write a bad review about this place. We loved it so much. The faculties are exactly what you’d expect being a working shearing shed. David has gone above and beyond with a folder in the shed too detailing information about the property.
We will be back if we are ever passing through again.

Gretel Cattle Yards
Off the beaten track, yet so close
What a great experience, camping on a working farm! The sunsets, sunrises and star gazing were spectacular, as was the privacy and bird watching. Gretel Cattle Yards are so close to Barcy, within a 5 minute drive. The warm outside bath was excellent, and there's a drop toilet and firepit with wood. David is a very accommodating host, his directions were easy to follow. I highly recommend this stay, particularly if you like the great outdoors, and not to have to share your space with others (eg in a caravan park)

Westbourne Shearing Shed
Excellent farm stay.
Excellent farm stay. The site was outside of a working shearing shed equipped with shower, toilet and hand basin is designed for multiple vans under a single exclusive booking so ideal for us (2 couples travelling together in two vehicles). Power was also available as well as a fire pit with wood supplied. A highlight of the site was the two outdoor bathtubs fed by warm artesian water and facing west for watching the beautiful sunset. Another highlight was the mudmap self drive 4wd tour of the farm.
David was a great host and, although very busy with the farm, was happy to chat and provide information about about farm.

The hot water was excellent and the location and privacy was also excellent. However the wooden tables and pallets could have done with abit of TLC. The grass also could have been cleaned up abit. A good site but with alittle extra care could be perfect

Westbourne Shearing Shed
The baths under the trees were wonderful to lie back in hot water and watch the sunset and the stars and satellites. However the ablution facilities in the shearing shed were filthy.
Ants and other bugs I suppose come with the territory.

Nice baths but some missing details
Overall we had an enjoyable stay but it wasn't quite what we expected. The listing should be edited to say the property does have water, but it is not potable. We also had issues with the shower with no hot water. We met the lovely property caretaker who we loved meeting and made us feel welcome, however our messages to the host had no reply.

10/10 rating !
We loved our stay at Dunblane, just wish it was longer! Having a heated bath outside was something to tick off the bucket list. Having a cold bevvy in the warm bath watching the sunset is something we won't forget in a hurry! The kids loved reading all the info in the shearing shed and looking at the different wool grades.

Westbourne Shearing Shed
Absolutely loved camping at the shearing shed for 2 nights this week. The artesian hot bath under the stars and the sounds of the birds can melt any stresses away. A nice chat with David and a cuddle with a baby lamb was the icing on the cake. Thank you David for opening up your land to us and for taking the time to create that self drive tour of your property. It’s well worth a visit!

Awesome Barcy Stay!!!
Staying at the Shearing Shed was an absolute highlight of our travels around Australia! The rustic shed setting with information about, as well as the two hot artisan baths was such a delight; as was the sunset and night sky. We also loved watching David crutching some sheep and loved the opportunity of "babysitting" some lambs. We loved our stay and are so glad we found this place. Thank you, David!!!

Close to the highway. Power and water available. Very interesting information on the sheel station to read, and get a better understanding of life on the land.

Fantastic camp! David was shearing the sheep whilst we were there and let the kids come and watch. The camp at night was perfect and the bath under the stars next level! Our kids also got to feed the little lambs in the morning. Great spot!

Amazing watching the sunset while sitting in the hot springs bath tubs enjoying a bottle of Prosecco and an antipasto platter , had the whole place to ourselves, not for prissy but certainly well equipped with a basic toilet and shower, we would go back in a heartbeat and probably will!

We had originally booked the cattle yards but we were changed to the shearing sheds before our arrival. We weren’t disappointed at all. Our children loved exploring the shearing shed, playing in the yards and had ample space to still ride their push bikes around. No fires were allowed due to a fire ban in place, but we weren’t worried as the weather was still quiet warm. On our arrival we ran the water to the bath tubs and after an early dinner the water was at a beautiful temperature to sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful sunset. The mossies were around but were tamed with a can
The shearing shed was very easy to locate off the side of the highway.

Shearers Shed sunset over the bath.
Amazing camp site adjacent shearer’s shed, the sunset was amazing over the hot artesian baths. It was such a great experience for our family and to top it off, the host was fantastic greeting us on arrival even whilst busy with regular business.
Thank you David for allowing us to experience your land, we will definitely recommend to anyone passing through.

Kids didn’t want to leave
Fantastic farm stay! Easy access to hwy, short drive from Barcaldine. David was so incredible with my children , he included them in his daily duties at his working sheep shearing station. There is a large grass are for you to pull up. The sunrise and the sunsets are amazing . The two artisan bite bath tubs were such nice experience.
