Loved the campsite. So close to everything. It didn’t bother us but didn’t realize it also backed on to the council depot. Traffic noise during day but no dramas, but absolutely great location and Margaret was easy to deal with.

Fantastic open space behind the old church. Traffic noise on weekends was gone sundown. Esk is a fantastic little town with great walking trails parks a huge well fenced dog park and parkrun. This hipcamp let's you explore all the goodies and relax in style. Looking over the road at the caravan park and all the sardines squashed in, makes you feel like a King (or Queen).

As we were only looking for an overnight stay it was suitable. We had the site to ourselves. Within walking to restaurants for tea and Old Esk Parkrun on Saturday morning. We finished our stay with breakfast at BV coffee roasters.

We had a great overnight stay on our way home. Once the afternoon business traffic settled, the site was quiet and peaceful. Margaret was fantastic to deal with — very efficient, friendly, and prompt. We’d happily stay again.

Creekside Campsite
Great spot alongside Sandy Creek! Grounds are flat for campervans / caravans, green grass for the kids to run around on, and close to all amenities and places to visit in Esk. We used this campsite as base camp for riding the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, trail essentially rides past the campsite. Easy walk from this campsite to the pub and cafe etc, a lovely walk along Sandy Creek starts 100m from the campsite.

Great spot for a short stay. Plenty of space to set up within, and you’re an easy stroll away from town facilities, such as the pub for dinner! We look forward to a return visit.

The property is on the main road through Esk but behind the church that sits on the land with several large trees. Road traffic noise was minimal. Easy enough to get in and out of the site but if you are a tall caravan or motor home you may need to check with the host about height of the large tree at the entry. Ideal location for those who do not want the busy environment of a caravan park. You need to be self contained. Trees provide western sun shade and you can move your van if no other guests to be shaded from the eastern morning sun. A much better priced option than other options in Esk. The host was responsive and provided clear email information.
