Welcome to our nature reserve on Mt Mee! We are located just an hour's drive from Brisbane CBD, positioned right next to the D'Aguilar range and 10km from D'Aguilar National Park. We have been working hard for nearly eight years to preserve it's natural beauty and ecological integrity. The property is over 100 acres and encompasses rainforest, wet sclerophyll, native grasslands and waterways (including a waterfall!). Numerous streams run through the property, one of which is just meters away from your campsite. One weekend will not be enough to fully explore this amazing sanctuary. The property is at the intersection of three wildlife corridors. Many species of flora and fauna call this place home including over one-hundred species of bird, pretty faced wallaby, koala, sugar gliders, native water rats, bandicoots, and echidnas. Ideally suited to those who are curious, respectful of nature and enjoy experiences off the beaten track. Get in early and have the place to yourselves before we add more campsites! ***Guests will need their own camping toilet and will need to take their waste with them*** ***4WD is a must*** There are some ticks around at the moment. It is recommended that you bring insect repellant. If you do get a tick, it is recommended not to pull it right out as some of the mouthparts can get stuck in you. We put some scabies cream on them and leave it there for a few hours, then carefully tweezer them out. We can supply you with some cream if needed. Close by: -15 minute drive from Dayboro -5 minute drive from Ocean View Winery -10 minutes from Pitstop Cafe -D’aguilar National Park roughly 10km away via a beautiful scenic drive (home to the endangered Richmond Birdwing Butterfly)We have been working hard to preserve, protect and maintain this property as a nature reserve for seven years and would love to share this wonderful place with you. Pitch your tent by a stream surrounded the smells and sounds of forest life. The campsite is a ten minute walk to the main house. You will have complete privacy and over 100acres of gorgeous forest and waterways all to yourselves! Do some spotlighting at night and you might see sugar gliders, bandicoots, and koala. Ask us about the waterfall walk, and don't forget your camera! For bird lovers, over 100 species of bird call this place home at various times throughout the year. Relax by a fire in the cooler months, or have a glorious lunch at the Ocean View Winery. Bring some long pants and good shoes for your exploration. Your own camping toilet is a must as we have not yet built a composting toilet. You will need to take all of your own waste home. 4WD required

Such an amazing place. Such a beautiful, peaceful place with some amazing stories, which John was kind enough to share with me on arrival. Communication was great throughout also. Exactly the getaway I was chasing - Such a beautiful property to walk around and explore.

Kingfisher Corner
Such a beautiful and remote spot. Loved the rain forest feel and being so isolated while still close to Brisbane. The walk to the waterfall was lovely. Isabelle was excellent with correspondence and very accommodating when we thought the rain would be an issue (lucky it wasn’t!). Will definitely be back as soon as time allows. 4wd essential!

Kingfisher Corner
Great little spot under an hour from Brisbane. It was very private and the the scenery was lovely. The only downside of being this close to brisbane is that the block has close-ish neighbour's and if the decide to mow their lawn (which takes all day) they are close enough to hear. That was the only negative part of my stay and I'd still recommend the spot. Few notes: -Would definitely recommend bug spray and or better yet netting if you plan on having lights on at night (it's a rainforest, bugs are everywhere). -4wd very much required.

My partner and I camped here for one night to get away. It was so private being the only ones camping on the property which was a highlight as well as the shady tree coverage.

A beautiful spot in nature with sounds of water running in the creek and bird calls. The walk to the waterfall is well worth it. Nice place to get cosy by the fire at night and look up at the stars through the opening in the trees. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again. 4wd I'd required.
