Great little camp spot. Kids loved camping by the waters edge and us adults loved relaxing with the beautiful view of crystal creek! Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely perfect in every way. Fair to good access from top bank to bottom bank/campsites. Relatively level sandy/loamy campsite, with easy access to the water. Saw quiet cows and an abundance of birdlife all with in a couple of hundred metres.
We thoroughly enjoyed the water activities/exploring options. Reasonably easy hikes upstream and downstream in the river bed. We nearly kayaked all the way to the main highway.
We did not have a go at fishing as we simply had far too much fun swimming, exploring and kayaking. Perfect mountain stream temp (cool/cold) and ranged in depths from calm and shallow (sandy and knee deep) to chest deep in parts and slightly adventurous rapid hopping all possible right from camp.
Cannot reccomend highly enough. Cheers Michael, we will definitely be booking again.

It was a very clean and grassed area, we ended up staying at site one after talking to Mick. Crystal clear water with enough depth to have a splash. Very relaxing with a fire at night right beside the creek.

Booked site 1 , was meant to get a gate code , but no code sent until 7.30 pm that night . (Tip is pester for code early)
After an hour of calling and messages, no response. So I walked inside and found another camper in site 1 . Was lucky they were nice enough to share the code .
We found another lovely spot by the river , beautiful spot !
I would still return again , but would chase up the gate code the day beforehand.

Crystal Ridge is absolutely paradise. We love visiting here. Beautiful sites right on the water. Close enough to Townsville to escape for the weekend. Michael is a great host. We love the cows too.

Still a great spot, been here a few times and it's always good to relax there.
The creek has changed a lot from recent flooding, but still good for a long swim, snorkel and kayak. Kids love it.

The camp site was water frontage, clean and well maintained. I note the cows were gated out this time 🙃 but we had a trio of roosters that visited regularly.
It was ridiculously hot, without a breathe of breeze and the flys were horrendous but the water was cool and refreshing and we enjoyed our stay.

Great stay! - we booked out both sites and had a number of friends and family (all in campers or caravans) fit nicely over New Years - although it was steamy / hot, the creek was beautiful and there is so many shady areas to set up. 🌿

Absolutely love it at Crystal Ridge. Large area, very private ( provided you book both sites), crystal clear water, the cows come & say hello and the kids (big & small) can ride their bikes, play cricket etc.

We absolutely love staying at Crystal ridge. The location is perfect - right on Crystal creek to swim all day, the cows and roosters come to say hello, plenty of room for the kids to ride their bikes / play cricket etc.
Michael is also great to communicate with 👌

This spot was amazing, water was clear and perfect temperature. Plenty of space for all vehicles and set ups. Sadly we didn’t get to have a fire as it was raining the first night and didn’t know if it was going to the second night as there were clouds, but the rain didn’t affect us we still had an amazing time. I would highly recommend this spot.
The pet friendly was great especially as we have a reactive dog so public camp and swimming spots is always a little risky not knowing what other dogs we could come across.
Instructions to get there were easy, communication was great.

Our first Hipcamp experience and it was a wonderful experience
Michael a wonderful host keep me updated with recent rains mite effect the camping area
But we was lucky it didn’t flood
Easy to find property easy to acces with receiving the lock code
Camping area perfect next to a flowing creek
Perfect for a swim and enjoying seeing turtles 🐢
Dogs loved it such a private camping area we had the the whole camping to ourselves so was so nice and private
Host didn’t bother us once so we loved that

Lovely quiet site with crystal creek. Would stay here again. Would recommend booking a couple of days in advance and getting the gate code as we had a little trouble getting in, but all sorted in the end. If both sites are booked it’s slightly less private, but still lovely.

Nice tidy site, beautiful clear water, and only 2 camp sites, so doesn't feel crowded. Owner was polite and quick to respond, so will definitely stay there again.

The rope swing and swimming area is excellent.

Amazing camp with a concrete pad, had someone in camp 2 for the first night, far enough away to be fine, and booked both sites for the second night for ultimate serenity. We absolutely loved it and the 2 nights gave us a break from busy caravan parks, would have stayed longer if we were not on a schedule. Kids loved the Tarzan swing, swimming and looking for fish and turtles in the creek. Thank you, just what we needed

Beautiful secluded camp on the creek, if we were in the area we would book again, kids used the Tarzan swing and explored the creek. Absolutely loved it
