Welcome to Bunya Ridge Droughtmasters, a working cattle property in the Noosa hinterland, located 8mins from the town of Cooroy and only 25mins into Noosa.  Dedicated to maintaining biodiversity and the conservation of the native bushland and remnant rainforest gullies located on the property, portions have been set aside and committed as 'land for wildlife'. The secluded campsites with fire pits are on flat, grassy and shaded areas with easy walking access into the surrounding bush land to explore the diverse range of native flora and fauna, make sure you bring your camera and binoculars. Please note, a 4x4 vehicle is required to access our campsites safely.  If relaxing around camp and having a swim or paddle around the dam is your thing, bring the kayak and fishing rod, as one of our dams is well stocked with Australian Bass and Silver Perch.  There's always a chance to spot a platypus for the quiet and patient camper too.  Feel free to wander the property and take in some of the views from different vantage points around the farm. There's a good chance you'll come across our beautiful stud quality droughtmaster cattle at some stage during your stay and although they are generally very quiet and friendly, they are BIG, and safety is a priority, so if you'd like to get up close and meet the herd, get in touch with your host Dave, for a hands on experience with the cattle in a safe environment.  Some other activities you may be interested in during your stay;  Guided tour of the property including cattle experience and some tips on finding wildlife/birdlife.  Cheese/grazing platter, made with select local produce. (Goes great with a wine or beer at sunset) Fishing lessons, tips on how and where to catch your first bass.  Pony rides, kids up to approx 50kg can ride Jed the Welsh X pony. All rides will be on the lead rope.  Access to the campsites is 4WD only, Camper trailers and off road caravans are ok, track can become slippery in the wet. Feel free to make contact prior to booking so we can place you in the best site to suit your setup.
