Train Carriage Lookout
Lovely spot with beautiful views of the valley and cows. Very quiet and peaceful space with lovely outdoor area.
The composting toilet was quite full when we arrived and with the hot weather the smell was pungent in the bedroom as the toilet is housed in the space behind the bed head. We chose to leave after the first night
With the warmer weather, a fan in the bedroom to circulate the air/compost smell would be great.

We loved our little cabin for a long weekend away. We had the most relaxing time. The space has everything you need and is very private. Nic put the cattle in the paddock out in front of us. We enjoyed watching them munch away on the grass in the mornings. The bed was comfy and the cook top/fridge and kitchenette space was great. Highly recommend!

My partner and I celebrated my birthday here and might I say it was wonderful! The atmosphere was so sweet, the cows were precious, the sunsets were divine and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Nic was incredibly helpful and we will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at Barbara. It was completely private and equiped with everything you need. The view of the trees and land from the bathtub was the most beautiful way to end the days. Nic was a great host and informed us of beautiful walks. We will be back for sure and keen to check out the other cabins! The towns were close by and full of beautiful shops and yummy food to eat.

Fabulous stay in the Tuscan Pink Cabin 💘
Myself, my partner & our beautiful pup Chief fell in love with the quiet space, stunning views & homely feel here. The outdoor bath & private fire pit are such a nice touch, we really felt like it was just the three of us on the land. Nic was an awesome host, pleasant, welcoming & lovely to chat to.
We’ve already started planning our next trip!

Loved the pink Tuscan cabin was so beautiful and relaxing couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The outside bath is the perfect place to sit and relax and watch the sunset with a glass of wine !! Also loved being surrounded by family of cows an amazing experience

Had a great stay at the black cockatoo train carriage.
Great view.
There is a communal area about 100m from the carriage where you’ll find the pizza oven which we loved!
Gambino and hodge become best friends while we stayed.
Loved having a dog friendly place to take our big Rottweiler.
Things to note, there is no Vodafone reception so make sure you download music before you go. The toilet is a composting toilet so just an fyi if your a flushing toilet goer.
Bath tub was lovely. Suited for one person to enjoy.
Make sure to grab fire wood on the way. We noticed a lot of local houses had firewood for $15 so take some cash on your way up!

We found the Tuscan Cabin at Black Cockatoo Valley as an exceptional location to have a quiet time away. The outlook is stunning from the cabin and was a beautiful place to watch the sunset. The cabin had everything we needed and couldn’t fault anything. Would highly recommend this experience to all!

The tuscan cabin was so beautiful - it was in a great position overlooking a field which we could see from the bed. There were cows and birds and everything we needed for a quiet weekend away. Thanks Nic for hosting, it was amazing!

Barbara was beautiful. Nic is a great host . The outdoor bath was amazing, both by candlelight & through the day with a book & a wine watching the sunset . I was surprised how warm it was inside with the double glazed windows.
There had been quite a bit of rain recently so the walk to the cabin from the pizza oven was definitely a ‘old shoes only ‘ hike . I ended up leaving my good clothes & shoes up at the car to change once at the top . 10/10 stay .

Beautiful stay at Nic’s cabin, very tranquil and relaxing!
Only thing I would note is the walk to and from cabin from your car parking spot is very steep so wear good shoes and backpacks, definitely worth it for the experience of being so immersed in nature 😍

Everything was perfect from the views to the room !! Perfect place to disconnect and get back to nature, so close to everything like cafes and markets. Would love to come back often. So unique and different but brilliant place to rejuvenate and get some much needed time away and nourishment on a beautiful piece of land. Nic the host made the experience, was so friendly, welcoming and always had a smile on his face and gave us the back story of the land which made it even more special !! Our trip wouldn’t have been completed without the beautiful Gambino who was always up for a play and a pat, such a beautiful animal guarding the land. The only sad part was we couldn’t stay there forever !!

My partner & I loved Nic’s tiny home! It was cosy, peaceful & had the most spectacular scenery. Waking up with the sunrise from the cabin, or watching the sunset from the outdoor bath were both unreal experiences - the serenity was perfect for our little getaway. We also loved the fire pit! My partner and I stayed here over the Easter long weekend in the tent. It was so spacious and even had a fridge & kettle which was a lovely bonus. We loved how it wasn’t like a typical “crowded” campground as well. The weather was on/ off rainy but the tent was comfy and dry. Unfortunately my partners boots fell apart on day 2 of 4 which was annoying for her because it was a bit muddy but Nic gave her a pair of boots to borrow and it made her day! He was so generous and lovely towards us and always went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything we wanted. Without a doubt, we will be back!

Even though it was really wet and raining, Nick, our host went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. I had four friends from overseas also come with me and they all said they had the most memorable time! It was such a seachange from the dry heat of Perth, WA where I originally came from. The facilities were amazing, cozy and very tranquil!

Such a relaxing location and Barbara was just perfect! There is a little hike down on foot but well worth it. Nick is a wonderful host offering flexibility and quick replies. Will be back again.

The train carriage was the perfect weekend escape. Bed was super comfy, even in the rain the outdoor tub was a lovely way to spend a day. The communal area had everything you could of possibly forgotten and needed and the views where so special. We did expect to feel a little more secluded as we could see other camp accommodations behind our site but was no problem we easily forgot they were there.

We loved the Tiny Pink Tuscan House. The interior is very thoughtfully designed and we had everything we needed. We just wanted a relaxing weekend, so we didn't leave this peaceful oasis at all. We enjoyed the views from all angles of the property, watched the cows, experienced a lovely warm bath with a view, enjoyed relaxing meals on the veranda, and gazed at the stars. Back home now, feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Our dogs loved the spaciousness and freedom.
Nic was a very attentive host, instructions were clear, so we easily found the place.

We had a magical weekend stay in this cabin and left feeling more connected to each other and to nature. My favourite was by far the outdoor bathtub. Nic was so helpful in every way. I couldn’t recommend this stay enough. So peaceful and private. We will definitely be returning!
