Situated on the lands of the Jinibara people, Black Cockatoo Valley, Djunda Yina is a 150 acre property with views out to the top of the Mary River with creeks and forrest down to Elaman Creek. With walking trails, creeks and plenty of space to explore find space to disconnect and recharge. BCV is a working farm that is under construction so please be aware of other guest and projects on site.

      Beautiful cabin and land surrounding. Very glad that such beautiful land like this is being protected.

      Train Carriage Lookout
      Had a great stay at the black cockatoo train carriage. Great view. There is a communal area about 100m from the carriage where you’ll find the pizza oven which we loved! Gambino and hodge become best friends while we stayed. Loved having a dog friendly place to take our big Rottweiler. Things to note, there is no Vodafone reception so make sure you download music before you go. The toilet is a composting toilet so just an fyi if your a flushing toilet goer. Bath tub was lovely. Suited for one person to enjoy. Make sure to grab fire wood on the way. We noticed a lot of local houses had firewood for $15 so take some cash on your way up! Overall great stay :)

      The cabin was beautiful! My partner and I had a great weekend away. Nic was super responsive and helpful as well.

      Train Carriage Lookout
      The train carriage was absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed! The property was amazing, we loved seeing the cows and the walk down to the stream was lovely.

      Tuscan Cabin // Pink Cabin
      Great opportunity to relax & unwind
      We found the Tuscan Cabin at Black Cockatoo Valley as an exceptional location to have a quiet time away. The outlook is stunning from the cabin and was a beautiful place to watch the sunset. The cabin had everything we needed and couldn’t fault anything. Would highly recommend this experience to all! Thank you Nic!

      The tuscan cabin was so beautiful - it was in a great position overlooking a field which we could see from the bed. There were cows and birds and everything we needed for a quiet weekend away. Thanks Nic for hosting, it was amazing!
