A former railway siding with the closest access point to the six Dawes Range Tunnels on the rail trail. From the tunnels, there are excellent views across to Kroombit Tops, and historical signage has been installed along the trail. The siding also contains the foundations of a former railway turntable. Kalpowar State Forest Park and campground are located several kilometres to the east, while the township of Kalpowar lies about the same distance in the opposite direction.The site is on a disused railway siding with flat grassed sites.
