We have a peaceful spot right on the edge of our dam which is stocked with Barramundi, with fish feeding every afternoon. From here it's only minutes to the centre of Mareeba, 45 minutes to Cairns and only half an hour to Lake Tinaroo which is famous for its fishing with its monster Barra. We are also close to several national parks with sensational swimming holes. You can choose to set up camp facing the back of the block looking out into the bush for complete privacy and watch the kangaroos and wallabies, or you can set up overlooking the dam and looking up the block to the back of the house. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. There is access to drinking water and power. Our property is nestled in a quiet location except for the birdlife, backing onto bushland with a small creek on one side and a dam full of Barra and native fish on the other. There is a big level pad to set up on right on the edge of the dam. The campsite area is 2WD accessible and there's plenty of room for all types of camping vehicles. A hidden gem

Host was very welcoming and their dog is such a bundle of joy. Whole site to yourself. Minimal noise from surrounding noise. Massive Barramundi and nice flat and clear area to camp. Not too far from shops. Enjoyed the sound of hussling gum trees at night. It was very peaceful.

Excellent site next to dam. Host was welcoming and we joined him in feeding his 60 odd barramundi. Lovely quiet night.

This is a fantastic spot if you are staying in Mareeba, or exploring the surrounding area and attractions. 5 minutes to town. The hosts are excellent. They make you feel extremely welcome…as does Dusty the dog. She loves a pat and a cuddle! The property is fantastic, with a beautiful little lake. You setup at the bottom of the property, next to a running creek, with virgin bush outlook. Come and go as you please…privacy at its best. It doesn’t get much better! Highly recommended.

Baradise is a private and relaxing camp area with plenty of shade. Barra feeding and catch and release was rewarding. Selena and Greg are great hosts, excellent communicators and very generous with their garden produce. We would recommend this lovely spot to enjoy as you explore the tablelands.

Could not ask for better hosts! Sarina was so accomodating & helpful. Plonked myself at the back of their's for 2 days, next to the creek & behind the lake & just fully relaxed or wandered round taking photos of the numerous birds & other gorgeous little species. They're a stone's throw from Mareeba, not that much further from Kuranda & withing 'cooee' of Cairns & Atherton. Quiet & peaceful. Ideal spot. Ideal hosts. Highly recommended!

Barradise is a peaceful, restful camp . Close to town. This is a well kept property with a private site with great views. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would happily return on our next trip to Mareeba.

The Greg and Serena were so welcoming and helpful in everything! We arrived quite late and they left the lights on outside until we were all set up and even helped us with some equipment malfunctions. I would 100% recommend staying here!

A great location - very peaceful and quiet. Views towards the bush or dam and owners are very private. Access to water and power if you need. Fish feeding of the barramundi was sensational. Thanks Greg and Sarina for making our holiday so special. We loved staying at your property and felt very welcome.

We stayed at Barradise for 2 nights and absolutely loved our stay. The camping area was well maintained and the view of the dam was beautiful each morning. We loved feeding the fish as well.

A hidden Gem in Mareeba

This property is a must visit if travelling to Atherton tablelands. Firstly it’s a stunning property run by such lovely hosts. You’re the only people there (1 site). Easy access to all the Tablelands have to offer. Mareeba is such a lovely town with everything you need. Face the water or the bush on this property - either way you won’t be disappointed. You can watch the barra being fed. Such fun. A huge thank you to our hosts, and we’ve only been here one night out of 8!!! Just the break you need if you’ve been travelling for months.

A lovely spot, private, peaceful and still close to town. The area was well kept. There is a fire pit and down wood. Greg was super helpful. We had access to water and some power when we needed a top up. The bucket of fruit from their trees was a lovely bonus. Highly recommend

We had a lovely stay at Barradise. So much space to ourselves and Sarina was a great host. We had water hook up and ran the generator when needed. Was lovely to see the fish being fed. We had a quick fish in the dam, please make sure you use barbless hooks as the fish are pets. Great central location to see the sights around the tablelands.

Amazing place to stay! Perfect hospitality and crazy how you forget your just around the corner from the shops with the out bush feel it provides. Didn’t catch a Barra but enjoyed feeding them!

Our four day stay at Barradise Camp has certainly exceeded our expectations. Greg, Serina and Ethan all welcomed us like family . The camp has room for many campers however they have discreetly kept this beautiful manicured area for just one private van spot . Greg greeted and welcomed us on arrival with a warm cheery smile which he continued to share with us each morning and late afternoon as he politely checked that everything was ok . Barradise Camp is situated on a very private block just on the outskirts of Mareeba which was a perfect distance for us to ride our bikes to town . We also enjoyed the lovely experience of feeding the very large Barra from the pontoon . If you are planning on staying at Mareeba we would encourage you to definitely contact Greg and hopefully have the opportunity to stay at Barradise Camp . Thanks Greg and Serina we will definitely be back .

We loved camping in ‘Barradise’! Greg was a wonderful host who generously shared his slice of paradise with us including witnessing the evening Barra feeding and pats with the most gorgeous dog Dusty.

The kids and I loved camping at Barradise. We had a great few days based there with day trips to the local water holes and night out to the Drive-ins too. Great location - in the heart of mareeba but you'd actually think you were in the bush with noone around. Kids loved fishing for the barra (no hook ups but that was half the fun - as they could see them!) Fire pit area was great - that makes camping for us as a family. Thanks so much Greg and family. You've got a great little part of paradise/barradise there!

Beautiful quiet spot at the back of the property. Access to a small creek and views over the barra pond. Lots of bird life and even some Roos joined us for brekkie! Would highly recommend this spot. Great price and really friendly hosts.

Great little weekend getaway. Not to far from Cairns. The camp was private, the owners were very accommodating and friendly and what beats camping next to a dam stocked with Barra. Very peaceful area and there's not much else to do other then relax and let the kids have some fun. Thanks for having us we loved our stay.
