Beautiful little cabin, with everything you need. Loved the privacy, location, the wildlife and abundance of firewood.

Lovely shack on private land, lots of wild life around. Very quiet, can't see another house from the property, very clean and tidy.

I loved the cabin at Anglers Rest. The 12V power works well to have shower and toilet. Nice walks through the property. John let us know where the good fishing was. The dog was very welcome.

John's place has lots of room, so peaceful. Their are several walks available around the property, the furs loved it We found the lighting not bright enough for reading at night, so found other things to do.

Who would ever have thought "fishing" and "romance" could be found in one place.... The cabin was amazing, even though it's all 12volt battery powered, you didn't even realise that you weren't on 240 power, good lighting and for the romantic a very nice candle like chandelier, my favourite. Every convenience you could want, hot water for showers, flushing toilet, all cooking facilities, gas stove, BBQ, clean comfortable bed towels supplied. Perfect for that romantic getaway or that fishing trip. We did both, fishing by day in the boat we hired from John our host, and spent romantic nights with the fire pit out side, and all the romantic candles inside. John and Jodie are great, very friendly and welcoming. Even our "monster JR" Jack Russell doggie enjoyed, she definitely made her self at home, haha...
Very enjoyable weekend, will definitely be back, thanks John and Jodie for a perfect weekend....

We loved our time at Anglers Rest so much that we extended our stay. John and Jodi are fabulous hosts. The cabin is just as in the photos but feels bigger once you’re there. Super comfortable furniture. We loved having a fire pit each night, and if you’ve never had rain water showers before, you’re in for a treat!! The landscaping is lovely and there’s a lot more planned. The icing on the cake is the seclusion and the quiet; perfect for us at the time.
Note: We didn’t mind being off grid so didn’t feel the need to start up the generator but it’s there if you need higher voltage. Our Internet access was unreliable (with Telstra) but we could still make calls and send messages.

Privacy, nature, relaxation, beachbush cabin experience. Beach access for 4wd and swimming or fishing, boat ramp access or hire a boat here on site. Relax by the fire at night and hear the waves on the beach nearby whilst stargazing, wake up to smell of the last nights campfire and listen to the bird wildlife and capture a glimpse of the local roos. Lovely, super friendy hosts John and Jodi will make you feel very welcome to share a part of their amazing sanctuary. Everything you need for the perfect offgrid getaway for a night or a week of perfect relaxation getaway.. Everything is here, just bring food and drinks. Camping spots also available for those with self sufficient set up. Highly recommended and will definitely be returning to stay.

We had a fantastic time at Angler's Rest. Really close to boat ramp and Rules Beach. Lovely, clean cabin. John was an amazing host and he was willing to help and ensure we had everything we needed for a great holiday.

Great place to stay off the grid still with all amenities
Close to fishing John even took us 4 wheel driving along rules beach
We were treated like family so friendly
Made sure everything was okay if not would’ve rectified it straight away
Had open fire every night so peaceful and relaxing

Wow this place is totally worth the trip. Such a sweet and relaxing spot. My fur babies absolutely loved the break from the long days of travel we had done. I loved that the place is secluded and peaceful. Just don’t forget to go to the shop’s beforehand because I forgot to check how far I was going to be from shops lol. I also loved that it was an off grid setup, my dream set up. I love having rain water to drink too, that was bonus. Jon and Jodi were so accommodating and generous. They even fed me a beautiful lasagne, which I literally cried because it was so good. Thanks so much to both Jon and Jodi! Five stars all the way!
