Our property is a four-hectare, semi-rural site located near Kuttabul, just north of Mackay. It features areas of natural dry-rainforest, seasonal creeks and attracts a number of native bird and small marsupial species. We are located close to Cape Hillsborough, Seaforth and the Pioneer Valley. Visit these sites or simply enjoy the peace and quiet of our property and some space to unwind.

Peaceful time with the wildlife.
Sarah's land was a tranquil escape, tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The starry nights and abundant wallabies created a serene atmosphere, and the enchanting sight of fireflies added a touch of magic. The absence of phone reception was a blessing, ensuring uninterrupted peace.

Very healing energy in this property and felt very safe and nourished by the land/space. There’s a lovely dry creek bed out back and woke up to at least 50 wallabies surrounding my tent. (Dropped to 3 when I went outside 😂). Very nice stay, thanks Alison.

Camping with kangaroos!
Awaken Retreats was amazing! The site(s) are very large and spacious in a grassy area. Our site had fresh water available. It was very quiet both during the day and at night. We were visited by over 20 kangaroo's in the evening as we were making dinner which was a lovely surprise. They were very cute! There is a large communal fire pit and firewood provided. This was one of the highlights for us and we enjoyed roasted marshmallows. We would stay here again!

Very nice, would stay again. Easy access to the area with a large caravan. Clean, spacious grass area with beautiful trees, birds and wallabies with only three sites. Camp fire with wood provided. Plenty of space to camp away from others if preferred. Easy access to water. Very quiet, no issues with noise. Host was very helpful and friendly, especially during booking when I was asking questions about the access to the site. Very peaceful, easy stay.

Great little spot
We loved this farm - quiet, secluded and surrounded by trees and a magical old creek bed. Wallabies grazing in the morning, stars at night - perfect retreat.
