Andrew Drynan Park is situated on Running Creek, 47 km south of Beaudesert and 19 km from Rathdowney on the Lions Road. The drive from Brisbane will take a couple of hours. It has an impressive backdrop formed by Mt Chinghee. Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp. Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers—a dip in the creek will keep you clean but please don’t use soap or detergent. Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east. Campers & Day Trippers Rules: The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park. By using this park you agree to the following rules. All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed limit. Fires must be extinguished prior to departure. Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish. It must be taken with you! The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem! Please be respectful of other camper’s space & privacy! Do not set up on top of other campers. Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of 2pm to 6pm. Dogs must be on short leads and confined to your campsite at all times. No music or noise after 10pm, noise level must at all times be at an acceptable level so as not to disturb other users. No antisocial behavior. No camping on creek banks. No playing around toilet block area. No livestock to be kept on the park. No cutting down trees. No person to travel in the load area of vehicles. No motorcycles other than on the formed roads or when moving between your campsite and the road. No stock whips, firearms or weapons of any sort, chainsaws, drones or fireworks allowed in the park. No use of detergents, soaps or shampoos in creek. No washing dishes or clothing in creek. No hitting of Golf balls. No cricket with cricket ball (tennis ball ok). No swings to be tied to trees. Anyone who is non-compliant may be directed by park management to leave the park and if so must leave without delay. Non-compliance will be referred to local Police and you may face legal action for trespassing. Park management reserves the right to refuse anyone entry to and use of the park. Let’s all enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings. Andrew Drynan Park camping area is a lovely large area in a valley with the Running Creek flowing on the opposite side of the road from the campground. This is a lovely area to camp for a night or two.  Fire pits are provided and there are also toilets.  Dogs are permitted as long as they are kept on a leash.

The park was beautiful and the creek was amazing. Loved our time here. Would highly recommend to anyone but especially with kids as the creek is such fun exploring for them.

The creek running past the campground was great, and the kids had a lot of fun playing in it. The management were also lovely to deal with. However, the campground was very busy and is not gated off. On both nights we were there, there were people that snuck in and caused trouble (loud fights/punch ups and music). I understand the management are asking the council for gates, and until that’s done I wouldn’t recommend staying here with kids.

it was great, the road got really slippery and muddy as it was raining so maybe bring a 4x4 if the weather is going to be wet. otherwise was awesome.

I loved camping here, quiet during the week though can get busy on the weekends.great views, very friendly hosts (as specially Dan) creek is a beautiful spot to relax in. You have no cellphone service which is great to getaway from work and city mayhem. The toilets are cleaned everyday, but no showers. Would recommend this place to stay in. Camping with animals is allowed to.

This place is amazing! From the beautiful views to the fresh flowing creek, it definitely is the place to be. This is my 5th time going and I will always come back here yearly because I love it so much, perfect for families or a weekend away with friends!

Great views, just go and pay there its cheaper in person and then you find you own spot no point to book. Just keep in mind people might park really close to you bring some firewood with you and then go for a walk to find kindling

The location is beautiful; however, we were there on a very busy long weekend and it was very crowded. There were a lot of disruptive campers reving their 4x4 trucks, even late at night. I would guess we had campers about 20m away on multiple sides. There were also some campers that had music playing loudly despite being asked by Park management and campers to turn it down. Unformatted for us, this really impacted our stay, as we prefer to hear the bush when we camp and don't like to feel crowded. The creek and surrounding land is beautiful and very scenic. If we could go when it is quiet, I am sure it would be much better. The facilities were well maintained, despite being very busy.

Unfortunately we were unable to find a spot after paying the booking fee. The camp area although beautiful was completely packed, sloped on a hill and boggey. We had to leave and find an alternative to park our van.

Absolutely lovely setting. Campground was easy to find and surrounding area was great. Our dogs loved it and we all had a great time. Strongly recommend a stay!

The grounds are clean and tidy and so are the toilets well maintained. The views of the hills are great and the fresh water running creek is refreshing, this is our second trip out there and we will keep coming back.

The park is very attractive with wonderful views of the mountains and we very much enjoyed our stay there. However I felt that if the stay had been longer than the weekend, the park is too far away from everything, for example, the nearest shop is 20 kms away. The kids enjoyed playing in the creek though.

We camped in Tents / Swags for two nights. Lovely location, it was just a bit wet this time. The creek was running well. Great for a relaxing time. The managers controlled any noise issues well so all could enjoy appropriately.

Camped with family in this picturesque countryside for long weekend. All instructions from landowner was clear and the grounds were in immaculate condition. Would recommend this property for a camping or caravan experience.

I messaged the owner with our thanks but a brief summary: My partner and I had the most wonderful time, even with the rain! We did have only one issue and that was the group of young ones next to us. Being young ourselves we know how to go out and have fun, however the noise was almost unbearable. However facility wise everything was wonderful. Beautiful scenery and the creek was nice and cold (yes we were a bit silly going for a swim) would love to come back again soon!
