Paul and Valerie’s place is so peaceful. They and their neighbors are so kind and welcoming. Beautiful water and sunsets. We’ll be back.

What a hidden oasis! Peaceful in so many ways. Beautiful clean property with lots to explore. Being able to sleep riverside added a special touch. Sunsets and moon rises were unreal. Hosts made the group of girls feel welcome and safe. 5 stars!

We absolutely loved our stay at sunset valley! We had a beautiful spot right on the river. Paul and Vallerie were so nice and accommodating. We would definitely come back!

We had a great time and wood was available too! Plenty of places to set up camp. Then there's the river. We didn't catch anything this day, but the scenery made up for that, 😄. Paul and Vallerie were really helpful and friendly. 5 Stars on this one! We will post a video on our YouTube channel at Get Livin Outdoors.

Paul and Vallerie's place was amazing. It was clean, well kept, and had beautiful views of the river. It would be a nice place to go with a group of friends or family. I would definitely recommend the private spot to anyone that loves camping. Paul and Vallerie was very helpful on everything or if you had any questions.

We arrived on 6/6 and left 6/8.
I would very highly recommend this place. As much as I want to keep it a secret bc this place is amazing and will be booking quickly I’m sure.
I met with Paul right when I got there. Great communication. The awesome thing was he showed me how to get to the site. He also had a print out of the rules, emergency services near by, and so much more. The property is so beautiful as you will see in the pics.
It’s a huge site and very well kept. There are so many spots you can choose from but if you have a large group, get there first to get right off the river bank. The view of the river and the homes across are great. Even though there are houses across the river it’s not like they are right there. You still hear the sounds of nature all night. Great spots for fishing or just chilling by the fire. If you forget your bait, there were a lot of dead/sleeping crickets in the am I am sure the fish would love to grab. Lol
Anyone that solo camps. I would recommend booking here. It is secluded but also very safe.
We also got to meet Vallerie and she gave us some recommendations on things do to also.
The area is cell kept around the site but also the road getting there. There is a porta potty onsite and I honestly have never seen one so darn clean. That was an extra plus.
Once again I would 100% recommend this place but I’m wanting to come back for my birthday in August so y’all don’t book it up.

My friend and I camped out this week end at sunset valley and we love the place, well maintained, beautiful scenery. Great host and private. If your curious how beautiful this place “you can check out my youtube channel: Elirita Shurina” I normally won’t do reviews but I feel like doing so cuz Valerie the owner was very welcoming. Thank you for sharing your land to the campers like us.

We absolutely loved camping at Paul and Valerie’s Sunset Valley. The kids had so much fun, floating down the river, and the campsite was flat and right next to the water and so beautiful. The property is maintained very well and there was plenty of room for the kids to ride their bikes too!! Paul and Valerie were amazing hosts!! I think we will be going back there someday…I hope!!

Our second time back at Sunset Valley with Paul and Vallerie and just as expected we had an absolute blast!!! Summertime on some of the most beautiful property in the entire area! Paul and Vallerie do an amazing job maintaining their own little slice of heaven and have spent years turning it into one of the most beautiful spots on the Allegheny River. It’s hard to understand the significance of their daily love and labor in this place until you show up and see it for yourself! Whether your looking for a private place to set your tent or hammock up or your looking for a wonderful time swimming, tubing, hiking, or just genuinely want a lazy retreat you can find it all here. Even got to see the river otters and eagles this time!!! Can not wait to come back again!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Paul and Vallerie’s land. Vallerie met us when we got there and was so friendly and helpful. She also checked in a few times during our stay to make sure we had what we needed. The bank to the River by the camp site is a steep drop - farther than some of the pictures can show. We didn’t have issues with this, but it’s a good thing to keep in mind if you have small children like we do. There is plenty of space to pitch your tent and spread out. We were grateful for our 10x10 canopy for shade over the picnic table in the hot July morning sun. Lots of shade trees other places though. We had a choice between 2 places with a picnic table and fire ring - one close to the river and one back farther. The rocky beach area by the dock was a great place to swim, especially with young children - bring footwear, it’s rocky like the pictures. If you need a place to get away and breathe your own air, book your time here!

My friends and I wanted a fun and relaxing girls camping trip. Sunset Valley checked all the boxes. Paul and Valerie were the perfect hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure our trip was wonderful. The views were spectacular! Our tents and our fire pit overlooked the Allegheny River. We had a ton of space and the ground was nice and level. The area was private and quiet. We were sad to leave but can not wait to visit again soon!

Sunset valley is a beautiful getaway spot! My wife and I had an amazing week! The campsite is very spacious and very well maintained. The porta- potty is also very clean. The views from the site are so beautiful. There are some homes across the river but it still feels very remote and private. The site had easy access to the river to put in our kayaks. We also took advantage of a local boat ramp in the village of Foxburg, which is just a short drive away. We were able to enjoy a 7 mile (approximately) float down river directly to the campsite, which was so relaxing and provided stunning scenery! We also felt very comfortable leaving are things at the site while on our float down river, the locals are so kind and also respect your privacy!! The fishing is also pretty good!! The hosts, Paul and Valerie are so sweet and so kind, they made us feel very welcomed. They are just a text away if you need anything and very helpful. Ice and firewood were also available on site. We had a couple cold nights and Valerie was so sweet she brought down one of her own hoodies for my wife to borrow for the week. The morning we left our vehicle battery was dead so I sent Paul a text and he was down to give us a jump in a matter of minutes. The sunsets are so beautiful and we were so blessed one night during sunset to be serenaded with Paul's musical talents! Honestly can't say enough great things about both of them! They helped make this trip very memorable! We cant wait to come back!!!

Sunset valley is a beautiful getaway spot! My wife and I had an amazing week. The campsite is very spacious and well maintained. The porta potty was also very clean. Even though there are some homes across the river it still feels very remote and private. There is easy access on the site for putting in kayaks. We were also able to put our kayaks in about 7 miles up river at a local boat ramp (village of foxburg). Took about 4 hours to float directly back to our campsite, it was absolutely gorgeous! So many beautiful views! Also felt very comfortable leaving all our belongings at the site during our float down river. The fishing is pretty decent also!! The host Paul and Valerie are so sweet and kind, made us feel so comfortable and welcomed!! Paul is just a text away if you need anything (ice and firewood are available on site for purchase, very convenient). We had a couple very chilly nights and Valerie was so sweet she brought my wife down one of her hoodies. Our vehicle wouldn't start the day we left so I sent Paul a text and he came down just a few minutes later to give us a jump! Honestly can't say enough great things about them! The sunsets are beautiful and even one night we were blessed to be serenaded by Pauls great musical talents. The locals are also just as kind and respectful of your privacy! Would highly recommend this site! Thank you Paul and Valerie we had a memorable week and can't wait to schedule our next visit!!! FYI the pictures don't do it justice!!!

We loved our stay at Sunset Valley! Paul and Vallerie were super welcoming and helpful. There’s plenty of space for multiple tents to all have a river view, lots of shade, and a short walk to the rock beach and dock. Our favorite part was jumping off the dock, pretty strong current so you have to be a decent swimmer!

In all of the places I’ve been with Hipcamp, my girlfriend and I have certainly found our new favorite! You couldn’t ask for better scenery or better hosts. Paul and Vallerie are 2 of the nicest people we have ever met, full of local knowledge and wonderful conversation, and kept themselves a short call or text away if we needed anything. I needed a screwdriver along the journey and Paul was happy to bring one down. Thanks Again!!! I had mentioned my girlfriend’s birthday when we were booking and Vallerie got Shay the prettiest little birthday cake, genuinely such a sweet thing to do!! Seriously couldn’t have asked for better hosts. The riverfront on their property is more than a football field long and they both do a fantastic job maintaining the property and keeping it full of beautiful flowers and landscapes. The entire site is site sits tucked down by the river with plenty of privacy and shade. Plenty of nice flat ground for tents and there is a nice group of trees at the end of the site perfect to hang your hammocks in and swing by the river. The outhouse is well kept and clean. They keep a really nice picnic table and fire ring down by the river, and also the same up closer to the outhouse. The pictures don’t do this site justice, it is an absolutely gorgeous setting, and truly is thee most perfect place to watch a sunset. We can’t wait to come back! See you guys next time!
