Site 3 - River Mountain Glamping Tipi
So, it’s a gorgeous place and we were very well taken care of. They were very nice and they took care of my wife my pups and I. If they say they gonna do something for you they will. The only down side was TICKS. It seems like near the Tikis was and infestation of ticks. If they can find a way to control the infestation by either cutting the grass near the tikis or spray something to keep it away from the public while you’re in the tiki would be perfect. So if you’re a person or family that doesn’t get bother by ticks , you’ll have a blast. If you’re concerned about ticks for either your family or your pets I would recommend you come prepared with ticks repellent. But believe when I say it’s a beautiful place and you will be taken care of .

River Mountain Glamping Pod for Two
Fantastic concept and execution!
Fantastic everything! The cabins are very comfortable - letting thought details all around. Warm, welcoming and dedicated hosts. I recommend their food! Even in current conditions, the food was good. Only wish is that I could have stayed for longer - loved it!

Modern Explorers Cabin - SLEEPS 12!
Great and beautiful outdoors experience. The cabin was humongous—12 beds—and the skylights at night were so fantastic. I loved being able to see the stars at night, and we loved the close proximity of hiking trails, too. We got in the habit of waking up with the sun and went out hiking first thing in the morning a few times—the lodge had snowshoes they are happy to lend you. Recommend hiking the mid-state trail along the ridge line just a few minutes’ drive north of the cabin!
They also provide s’mores makings, make campfires if you’d like, gourmet meals, and generally just a lovely cared-for experience.
We quarantined and came with 2 friends (for 4 people total) for a work week, and it was a perfect fit. There wasn’t really room for more than 4 people remote-working at the window bar that serves as a table, unless you wanted to work the whole day from one of the beds, but additional kids would be fine. If you’re a group and it’s cold outside, consider bringing a small folding table to set up and gather around for eat/drinking/games/conversation indoors if the outdoors is too chilly for that to be fun, as there isn't a common space besides the bar-table.

Modern Explorers Cabin - SLEEPS 12!
Work and play in nature
Myself and 3 others decided to quarantine and then rent a cabin for the work week. We were eager to get out of the city!
The cabins sit in a valley, overlooking a field to the forested ridge on the other side. The first day we arrived, we watched deer make their way along the edge of the forest as we walked to the cabin.
This place is full service and it is luxurious. Your things are shuttled from the parking spot to the cabin. Need charcoal to cook? Someone to light a campfire for you? Want to rent some snowshoes? They're just a call over the walkie-talkies away. we felt completely taken care of.
Working out of the cabins was great. There's plenty of outlets, fast internet, and a long bar with comfy chairs. Don't feel like being inside? Take a meeting from the deck, or heck even across the field by the river - the wifi signal is STRONG!
The cabins themselves are new, clean, and sleek. The bunks feel pod-like, almost futuristic. Top bunks have a skylight which lets you watch the sky as you lay in bed - everyone needs this. Pretty minimal kitchen items (microwave, mini fridge, coffee pod machine), but that's ok because you really should be ordering their food anyways. We ate two of their dinner menu items and they were fantastic; next time I won't be cooking!
There are plenty of great hikes in the area. My favorite: head up the 326/Main Rd to the Blankley Road/Reservoir Trail parking Lot, and hop on the Mid-State Trail going east, which eventually goes along a fun, technical ridgeline with views to either side. Or, for a more casual hike, take the fire road west - there are 2 great lookouts within a mile or so walk.
My favorite memory must be campfires by the river. There's no better way to unwind from a day of hiking, or working, than to the sound of crackling hardwood logs and a babbling river.
