Most sites welcome campfires (burn bans permitting) and furry companions. Whether you seek a bare-bones adventure or comforts like full kitchens, our range of listings lets you unplug at your own pace. Camp Colton offers multiple sights for tent camping on our grounds. Choose from: 1. Our Sunny Meadow sites with shared fire pit and picnic table next to Bee Creek 2. Our Shady Sculpture Garden with picnic table 3. Our Cedar Circle sites with a large mulch base 4. Our Fern Circle site, nestled among the trees and our most secluded site Located on the east side of Camp Colton, our dispersed camping offers a peaceful forest setting with basic comforts for your stay. Guests are encouraged to explore the full beauty of Camp Colton’s 85-acre property—hike forested trails, visit the 14-foot waterfall, canoe on the trout pond, or gather with others at the communal campfire at the Gazebo. All tent camping sites come with access to our fully-plumbed bath house with toilets, sinks and free hot showers (BYO towels and toiletries). Firewood is provided for fire pits (may be prohibited during fire season). Shared laundry is also available in the bath house. While the actual sites where tents can be pitched are not drivable (so parking your car in the Meadow or Sculpture Garden, for example, is not allowed), nearby gravel roadways are available for dropping off your gear before parking your car back in our parking lots overnight. Maple Syrup and a
Blue Heron Queen | Room #3
The grounds were beautiful. It was nice to have a bed and access to a shower and toilet. The communal fire pit was cool. It wasn’t busy this time of year, so it was just us at the fire. This would be a great base camp for fun on the Mollalla river activities or just a quick glamp getaway from the city. We booked a room after a class with the Oregon Maple Project and it was fun to learn about that operation and process and see all the tapped maples on the property. Their art classes and fancy dinner nights are intriguing. It seems like they’re building something cool out there.

River Falls Lodge
Had a beautiful, cozy birthday sleepover in River Falls Lodge. It was the perfect place for my friends and I to cook and lounge together with beautiful walks in the woods to start and end our stay. Communication was clear through the whole reservation process. Thanks, Camp Colton Crew!

I truly couldn't speak more highly of a glamping site, their staff and my overall experience!!! I booked a last min solo trip out to Oregon for my birthday and by doing so I knew there'd probably be a couple mishaps or delays with bookings of all sorts, not just for this camping portion, to which the very minute hiccup was graciously handled by Allison in a swiftness and even so generously upgraded me to my own personal Yurt. It was the most cozy and charming stay a solo bday girl could ever dream of. You'd think I was exaggerating until you've experienced this for yourself. The only unfortunate thing about my stay was that my second day there I ended up dropping my phone in the river, totally my doing ofc, and since I was on this trip alone with no other back up phone nor form of communication with my family, I had to cut my stay short of one night and head back to town to figure out my situation. To which, Neal, the kindest and gentle soul let me use his phone to reach out to my parents and chatted with me and introduced me to Ollie, their handsome lil goat, as I waited to get my ride situation handled. I did tell him I was hoping I would get to town on time to get my phone fixed and uber back to the site because that's how much I was in dire need to spend every second I could there but that didn't end up being the case which is fine because it left me with just enough to hurry back for more and definitely a longer stay. Quiet getaway in the woods.
Blue Heron Queen | Room #1
Camp Colton is such a beautiful, special setting. This was our first visit since getting married here almost 20 years ago, and it’s as lovely as ever. The accommodations were spartan but cozy—exactly what we had in mind—and our host was accommodating but hands off. Plus, we enjoyed a syrup-making workshop from the Oregon Maple Project onsite after checking out in the morning. Highly recommend this remote retreat!

Beehive Cottage
Camp Colton is an awesome place to visit! Their property is large and has a lot of activities to explore (animal petting area, trails on the property, and a fishing pond). They've got a variety of awesome structures including cabins, a tiny home, yurts, and a communal covered fire pit gazebo. The Beehive cottage met my expectations perfectly, it was clean, warm, and tucked into the trees right by a creek that runs through the property. It was perfect for a quick getaway, while providing comfortable amenities during a cold and rainy Oregon fall evening. The bed is perfectly comfortable, and was made prior to my arrival. The host provided towels and linens, I didn't need to bring anything extra. Additionally, there is a covered back patio which is a perfect spot to sit out and listen to the babble of the creek and wildlife spot. I would recommend a stay here!

Beehive Cottage
Lovely grounds and great hall. We stayed in the Beehive cabin. It was clean. The structure is really beautiful inside. But comfort needs real improvement. It really could use a couple of easy chairs or additional sofa to lounge on. We are an older couple that just likes to get away to a cabin for a few days in the fall or winter. As furnished it is rather sparse and uncomforted. There is only one sofa that is also the bed. Only a number of straight back chairs are there as well.

Camp Colton was beautiful! I wish I could’ve stayed longer. The chanterelle yurt was great. The fire pit and the hiking trails were awesome. Would definitely come back!

Hallmark level stay.

Neil and Maci were exceptional hosts. We arrived after hours when it was very dark. Neil guided us in via telephone to our Yurt. It was like a Hallmark movie with the owls hooting, stream gurgling and fire crackling. Picturesque with the lights surrounding our yurt. Maci guided me through the registration process, pointed out dining establishments (highly recommend the Colton Cafe) and activities in the area. Loved our weekend and would definitely stay again.

Tiny House By the Forest Pond
Camp Colton is known as a wedding venue. If possible, you should NOT STAY AT THE CAMP! The prices are disproportionate to what you get in terms of accommodation. We booked the Tiny House for one night so that we didn't have to drive back to the coast after our granddaughter's wedding. We paid $321.70 for one night. The house was more than minimally furnished, not to say that it was completely unsuitable for accommodating wedding guests. It lacked pretty much everything a guest would need for the celebration. Apart from a small cosmetic mirror in the bathroom, there were no mirrors, the bathroom is super small, and a slightly larger person would probably not be able to use it at all. No shower gel, no coffee (although there was a coffee machine), nothing that would have made it pleasant for the wedding guests at this price. After this experience, a fair price would be a maximum of $100 per night. It seems as if the business idea is obviously to take advantage of the guests' situation. It is a shame that the poor accommodation detracted from the overall experience, overshadowing what was otherwise a very successful celebration and venue. We will definitely not recommend this camp to anyone.

"Puffball" Cozy Forest Yurt
We had a wonderful relaxing few nights at Camp Colton. It was wonderfully quiet with only crickets, the creek, and birdsong. We loved exploring the trails with our pup. The puffball yurt was perfect for two of us plus our dog. It was warm during the chilly nights, had electricity, the fire pit had a great grill top, and the nearby bathrooms were nice. Even waking up to the sound of rain on the roof one morning was nice! Highly recommend and we'll be back.

Tiny House By the Forest Pond
Incredible spot! We'll definitely return. We had a 4 year old and a 1 year old and the tiny house worked really well for us. Neal, the caretaker, and the other staff were so helpful. One even gave our son some snacks for the incredible goat at the farm. The grounds in general are extremely well taken care of and the communal bathrooms and eating areas are great. The pictures don't show it, but there also a table in the back of the tiny house. Highly recommend!

The property is beautiful in the interior. The RV sites are next to a busy road and back up to a church. It’s pretty private there but not as picturesque as the rest of the property. Broken, weathered and splintered picnic tables were pretty much unusable. The shed it is located next to is falling apart especially the roof. Could use some sprucing up. The meadow tent camping is really nice and some of the cabins are nice, others look very worn down. Nice little hike up the hill to the ridgeline. Was a nice long weekend trip.

A magical mushroom stay
"Puffball" Cozy Forest Yurt
We loved our cozy stay at the Puffball yurt nestled into a gorgeous retreat area with several little trails to take in nature. The small fireplace inside the yurt kept us warm at night and we were thrilled at how clean and well designed the bathrooms are. Neal was a great help as well in getting us situated and answering questions. Highly recommend!

Forest Cottage
I took my two daughters, age 7 & 9, to Camp Colton. We had an amazing time exploring trails, playing in the creek, lounging by the waterfalls. The space was well taken care of with clean bathrooms and kind staff who waved at my kids. We stayed in Forest Cottage which has everything we needed. I will be inviting my friends to do a group camp soon.

We loved everything second of it and wished we could have stay forever. The place was quiet, bucolic, loved de firefly light and the metal pieces on the fire pit by Neal, Bubbs was a +. The cabines the pond, the trail, all of it was just marvelous and full of crittersmoir biologist's brains were full it joy the whole time.

Camp Colton Tent Sites
Camp Colton was a great camping spot for our two families. Fairly short drive, close to get more ice, but still feeling like we’re in nature. There was a nice bath house (didn’t take advantage of the washer/dryer and showers) and a composting outhouse near our camp. We enjoyed canoeing the pond and walking up the creek and waterfalls. Tried out some hammocks and a swing as we explored the grounds. Perfect weather helped! We booked a tent site (reasonable $$) and Neal said we could set up anywhere—great to be right beside our friends in their RV.

"Puffball" Cozy Forest Yurt
I almost didn't want to leave a review because I want to keep this place all to myself. This space was so perfect for a glamping get away. Everything you could need while also staying out in the woods was provided. I felt like I was back at summer camp with some swanky upgrades (the private showers and laundry?! Outstanding). I wish I had stayed more than one night, but I am most certainly going to be a frequent guest all year long for weekend get aways! What an absolute gem.

Camp Colton is just what we needed, and way more than we expected. The whole facility is beautiful and accommodating including luxurious showers, a pond with canoe, hammocks, and lots of hiking options. We loved it!

"Puffball" Cozy Forest Yurt
If you’re craving peaceful, no‑frills glamping nestled in a lush Oregon forest, Puffball is a dreamy pick. Tucked deep among towering evergreens and perched near Canyon Creek, this yurt offers one of the most secluded stays at Camp Colton. The host thought of everything—every little touch and comfort to make it feel so cozy and glamping‑perfect. Bathhouse with hot showers just a short stroll away. One thing to note though, if you arrive after 5PM, make sure you let them know ahead of time and that the number they provided is correct. Mine was not and we tried calling for half an hour finding way to get inside our tent.

You find yourself surrounded in owners love and respect for the land and natural state of the pacific northwest. This is a beautiful ecotopian idea coming to fruition. I could feel the love and heart that is a part of creating this welcoming space. From supplying firewood to sustain a pest free forest, events like natural dye making and tapping maples for making syrup. This place has it all. I love the community spaces. We had a great time paddling the pond, listening to birds, and gazing at stars. Our ol boy Riley enjoyed Frisbee in the meadow and exploring the trails. The poem about poetry with no words in the maple house is now my favorite poem. Thank you for respecting the land. The van Dyks

Camp Colton is truly a magical stay! We were so lucky to have the space to ourselves for the weekend and it was such an awesome experience. There are so many different things to see and so much wildlife roaming about the grounds. Neal was especially helpful during our stay and was very accommodating to a hectic schedule. Highly recommended staying in the cedar circle and hanging around the fire :)
