Rustic Cabin
This was the most beautiful and peaceful experience! My kids had so much fun feeding the horses and meeting all the animals after our long drive. Renee was the absolute sweetest person and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved this place. My husband and I stayed the weekend to explore the area for our final trip for the year. The cabin was so cozy,we did have our air mattress with us just incase I was unable to sleep on the futon but was surprisingly comfortable. We were exploring most of the time but getting to see and pet the horses was amazing. Thank you for opening your home to us.

I had such an amazing time on the property! It was the exact environment I was looking for to take a break by myself. Renee and Dale were fantastic folks to meet. The cabin was adorable. Just absolutely what I needed!

We loved staying at the cabin. It was well furnished and had an amazing view. We had a great time interacting with the farm animals, specially the horses and the cats. The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We are definitely going back for another stay. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a farm stay.

Our stay was perfect, the site is beautiful and well kept and the host was very welcoming and kind to our two boys. She showed us all their animals and told us their backstories and even let our oldest help feed the chickens. She provided snacks for the horses which we were able to feed whenever we wanted. They come right up to the tent site and the cabin. We felt very safe and it was easy to find when driving in. Each animal we interacted with was good, the turkey will climb on your shoulder and the cats will sit on you by the fire. We are very happy and plan to come back again!
If you want a more private stay I would recommend booking both the tent site and the cabin if possible. The out house and fire pit are communal so if you don’t you’ll end up getting cozy with some strangers.

I don't know where to begin. This has been an incredible experience from the moment I got here. Dale and Renee are 2 of the nicest people you could ever meet. Renee goes above and beyond to make you feel like family. I fell in love with Buddy, the donkey. All of the animals from the handsome Fred the turkey to Pumpkin the cat are soo soo sweet. The horses are beautiful. I sat on the porch of the cabin and watched them across the pond. I even got a visit from 2 horses asking for treats. It was amazing!!! I can NOT recommend this place enough. It is peaceful, quaint, and feels like home away from home. I will definitely be back! Thank you for everything!!!!

I can’t even explain how wonderful this day was! Renee went above and beyond! The ranch itself is so peaceful and grounding. It gives you a chance to reset and connect with nature and yourself again. I highly highly recommend a visit. You won’t be disappointed!

What an amazing place and hosts. Beautiful cabin and hanging out with the horses was magical. Renee and Dale did everything to make our stay the best it could be. Came as strangers, left a friend's. Can't wait to go back.

I got to spend my holiday weekend at the cabin on Renee's beautiful land and ending up wishing I had booked a longer stay ...it was just the space I needed. Solo female traveler approved and amazing value for a cabin that includes so much to make your stay a comfortable one. Parking so close I had no trouble lugging my gear in. Cell phone reception was excellent (I have T-Mobile and never had an issue, though wifi is available if preferred). Super easy to find ...I Google Mapped it from the address provided and found it with absolutely no issues.
It truly is a peaceful, healing space managed by the most kind, generous hosts. I spent so much time just sitting on the porch looking across the pond (which currently has a small fountain running beautiful water sounds 24/7) and taking in the view of these beautiful horses grazing back and forth, some even coming right up to the railing for treats stored just for them on the porch. It's surprisingly quiet considering it's a working farm. The hosts leave you at peace when you need your space, and there's not a lot of traffic on the small country road that runs past the place.
I'm so glad I found this place and can't wait to come back and spend more time here.

This was exactly the getaway my husband and I were looking for. Being surrounded by beautiful mustangs and the quiet of the ranch was just what we needed! Renee and Dale were so inviting and very helpful. Both my husband and I learned a ton about Mustangs both at the Ranch and in the wild. We loved Ranger greeting us every morning and multiple times a day. I especially loved the time I was able to spend with Bella the partially blind paint. She was absolutely the sweetest. Looking forward to making plans to come back in the fall!

Truly a delightful place to stay. Quiet, surrounded by lovely livestock, a comfortable little cabin that offers all sorts of nice little touches. Hosts that are friendly and helpful, and gorgeous scenery. Would absolutely book again.

It was a pleasure staying in Renée‘s cabin. It was so comfortable and well stocked. The horses, turkey, chickens, Goat, donkeys, etc. were a wonderful addition to my stay. It was great getting to know Renee. I appreciated the tour and the accommodations. I have a lot of respect for the program that Renée has created there.

This place is truly a hidden gem—I can’t wait to come back! Renee was incredibly kind and welcoming, making sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The cabin was cozy and well-kept, and falling asleep each night to the soothing sounds of nature was pure bliss. One of the highlights of my visit was spending time with all the animals—especially the beautiful mustangs and the unforgettable Fred the turkey! It was such a peaceful and memorable escape.

Our experience was so peaceful that we had to stay another day. The host family was so inviting it was like we were apart of the family. The work that the family is doing on the DLR Ranch is honorable, rehabbing horses and also Helping Our Veterns. We can not wait for our next visit. I give the DLR Ranch a 10 out of 10.

Our experience was nothing short of amazing. We were greeted by a wealth of animals both domestic and wild, yet the ambiance was incredibly peaceful. What set this place apart from all the others was the host, Renee, and her family. They were warm, inviting and gracious. The story behind the mission of their ranch for both the Mustangs and Veterans is honorable and is a reflection of the family you will meet. All this along with comfortable accommodations makes this "my go to place".

We had a remarkable time at the DRL Mustang Ranch! We were seeking the perfect place to camp and enjoy nature, and boy did we find it. From the stunning mustangs, donkeys, peacocks, ducks, and of course Fred the friendly Turkey, we truly had a wonderful time and were one with nature. Thank you Renee and Dale for being fantastic and friendly hosts. Thank you also for the amazing work that you’re doing to impact mustangs, veterans, and people with all abilities!

Loved every second of it from the critters, to the frog pond to the amazing little place to lay our heads. I couldn't have asked for better hosts. Be prepared to become best friends with the turkey Fred though...what a stud of a bird. Lol

The farm that this campsite is located on sure lives up to its name. We enjoyed many other animals on top of the beautiful equine that surrounded us. The willingness of the owner to help us out in any way possible was pleasantly surprising. They also carry out an awesome mission there that you would have to check out for yourself. We can't wait until next year when we will visit again. Great experience!
