Our beautiful 1800’s cabin was moved to the property in the 1970’s by a former neighbor who owned the property at the time. The same neighbor also had a historic train depot moved to the property where she sold antiques out of for several years. It is not sure what the cabin was used for at that time but it certainly added charm to the antique store property. When we acquired the property years later, the cabin was in need of work. It sat for a few years until we decided to restore this lovely cabin back to it’s beautiful charm and character. Jim spent a couple years on the project working in his free time and added the porch using old wood in keeping with the natural look and feel of the cabin as well as some interior areas. Upon completion, we opened the cabin as a gift shop selling unique items including antiques, primitives and decor for a few years. We decided to transition the cabin into a place of retreat for traveling guests and still keep some of the goods we sold in the shop available for purchase. We hope that you find the cabin and property a place of peace and tranquility and will want to return. Whether passing through for a night or a few days stay, you’re always welcome in our neck of the woods. Learn more about this land: Make a stop back in time to our quiet woodland retreat with an updated 1800’s log cabin nestled on the property. At Cabin and Company, you will be parked beside this beautiful cabin and will be allowed access at your leisure for a place to sit and relax. (No overnight sleeping allowed inside) Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea (provided) while watching tv or on our covered porch outside. You may also select a movie or two from our large selection of DVDs or find a book to read among our stash of books. Play cards, engage in one of the other games provided, or just sit in the quiet of it all and rest your mind and There is a golf chipping area as well as basketball and cornhole.. We have WIFI at our residence on the adjacent property and some areas of the camp will pick it up better than others. There is a fire ring on site with an adjustable grate for cooking and plenty of seasoned firewood available.. We will have a few items available for purchase inside the cabin including local honey (when available) apple butter, coffee, candles and hand crafted walking sticks and you won’t want to leave without some of these goodies. This semi secluded property is a gem and we hope you will enjoy this piece of history as much as we do. You may see wildlife such as whitetail deer and of course, there are plenty of birds and squirrels around. You won’t be disappointed in this cozy Midwest retreat and will want to make this one of your places while passing through our beautiful Ohio. Most of all, relax and enjoy.

Glamping in the snow
This is our third visit to Cabin and Company. It is such a great private getaway spot for our family and convenient to our home in Cincinnati. Our kids love sitting around the camp fire and then getting cozy in the cabin and playing board games. This morning we got to enjoy watching the snow fall and it was so lovely. We look forward to our next visit!

Cabin and Company = Awesome!
Jim and Sharon are wonderful hosts. Upon arrival there was a little welcome bag of goodies to make s’mores over the fire. They had firewood stacked close to the fire pit and some already in the fire pit just waiting for us to start a fire. This is our second time camping at their site called cabin and company and we will certainly be back again.

Clean, cozy and different!
We had a great 1 night stay with our camper trailer at Cabin and Company. The cabin was extremely clean and equipped with games, cozy lighting, a tv and all kinds of coffee and tea. The land is semi private but we got the woodsy feel that we wanted. We took a short drive both days to nearby Twin Creek metro park and walked two different wooded trails. We ate at the 2nd oldest hotel, the Florentine. Would love to return! We hope that one day the cabin will be open to overnight guests inside so that additional friends and family can visit with us.

Beautiful Site
The cabin was more beautiful than I expected. The setting was perfect for our RV. The coffee bar and the fireplace in the cabin made for a cozy, relaxing atmosphere on a rainy night. Thanks again for hosting.

We LOVED it!
We LOVED this cabin/campsite! Jim & Sharon are wonderful hosts and made booking and checking in and out seamless. The cabin’s decorated so well and is spotlessly clean - such a cozy little spot to watch a movie, play games in the loft, and to grab a cup of coffee! There are many special little touches in and around to the cabin that make it such a sweet place. And the cabin adds a little vacation vibe to your camping trip. Hands down blows staying in a busy campground out of the water; especially if you like a level of privacy! We felt the value was spot on for what you get as well. We will definitely be back! Hipcamping at it’s BEST
What a great experience. Jim and Sharon have paid close attention to detail to make this a wonderful Hipcamp. The cabin is adorable and such an added bonus to your campsite. Both the cabin and land are immaculate and it was such a beautiful place to relax and unwind for the weekend. Campers like us are thankful for hosts like this who make hipcamping such a pleasure. We look forward to a return visit!

Great family getaway spot!
What an amazing place to stay with our family in our airstream! Parking and plugging in at the site was very easy. The cabin was an amazing bonus to have a place for our kids to go inside and play board games and card games. The cabin is very well equipped with activities and the construction and details are amazing as well as the decor. Also the cabin stayed very warm inside during fall weather. Space heaters were provided although we did not really need them. The site was very spacious with any outdoor activities also. We were able to easily prepare our meals over the campfire but also brought our portable grill which we were able to use. Although we could see houses on either side, the site felt very private and there was a nice buffer of trees with farmland beyond. Our hosts communicated with us via message to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. This place is very special, a true gem and someplace our family will look forward to visiting again soon!

Adorable little cabin and great sit
The historic cabin is just adorable. The hoists left us a welcome bag of s’mores goodies and there was a little coffee/tea station inside the cabin. There are also plenty of books one can read as well as some homemade items you can purchase. We spent most of our time in the cabin. The site is level gravel right next to the cabin. There is 30A electric available as well so we didn’t have to lug our generator along which was very nice. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely add Cabin and Company to our list of places to return to.

My wife and I are in our early seventies, and this was our first RV trip. We have had a handicap accessible RV for three years. and this was our first chance to use it. WOW what a great trip. Cabin and Company was the perfect setting, and the countryside was in it's full Fall splendor. Jim and Sharon were great. You felt like they were there if you needed anything, yet they respected your privacy. Thanks again for the much needed break and relaxation.

What an amazing spot. Totally exceeded our expectations. Nice private, secluded location and the primitive cabin was such a nice touch. The kids had a great time playing golf, swinging on the tree swing, and exploring the grounds. We spent the evenings making s’mores around the fire pit. Highly recommended hipcamp! We will be back for sure.

Quiet, private site w/lovely cabin
A lovely quiet and private site adjacent to a beautiful rustic cabin decorated and stocked with thoughtful touches. We were only passing through but would have enjoyed sitting out on the porch on a quiet evening. The hosts were very kind and accommodating when our travel plans were disrupted. Recommend.

The most perfect campsite
Both the site, Cabin and Company and our hosts, Jim and Sharon far exceeded our expectations. If I had to use one word to describe the experience, it would be civilized. The grounds were immaculate. The cabin, (not for sleeping) was air conditioned, had a Keurig coffee maker. The porch was a perfect place to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail after a long day of driving. Our hosts made sure we had everything we needed. I cannot stress enough how much we loved Cabin and Company.

Serenity in the Woods
We loved our stay at Cabin & Company - it had a little bit of everything for our entire family. Jim & Sharon were wonderful hosts! It was a warm welcome right from the start. Our son couldn't wait to explore the cabin, and the cleared paths around the property were perfect for him to explore. The electric hookups were much appreciated & easy to access. If your ideal getaway involves curling up with a good book, this is the place for you! We spent hours reading on the covered front porch, and had a wonderful movie night & another family game night inside the cabin. It definitely gave our typical camping experience more of a vacation vibe, especially with great restaurants right down the road. Highly recommend!

A beautiful artist's cabin retreat!
What a delightful place! Jim & Sharon have created a truly lovely artist's cabin retreat space, a unique and comfortable retreat space that we loved exploring. The quiet surroundings were perfect, the grounds are meticulously maintained, and while we sadly weren't able to enjoy a fire due to the off-and-on summer thunderstorms, we still enjoyed the cabin's porch for our morning coffee. The 30A hookup for our Airstream was definitely welcome, given the humid July conditions. And Jim & Sharon were immediately responsive whenever I sent a message. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend their place, and would be happy to return some day!

This place was a perfect 10!
Cabin and Company was an oasis in the woods. Plenty of room for our 36' Class A towing a storage trailer. We pluged in and powered up 30/50. Our son loved playing in the cozy cabin filled with tv, dvd, coffee/tea and hand crafted goods. We even bought two candles for the RV. Instead of cooking we ordered delivery from Sarah's Pizza, (it was very good). Cabin with a fire pit in a secluded quiet area...what more could you ask for! We will definitely stop here again to rest up. This place was the highlight of our moving trip! It's 10 out of 10! Thanks so much for your hospitality!
