We enjoyed the seclusion in amongst the bush but whilst having a flushing loo and shower nearby if we needed it. Was very quiet no traffic noise and youre far enough away from other sites for their noise not to interrupt you too much.

We had a fantastic time at this Hip Camp with another family. The site offered plenty of room for the kids to explore on their bikes, and the raised campfire with a cooking plate was a real convenience. The rustic wooden bench nearby became our favourite spot for evening drinks.
Aisla and John were incredibly welcoming, eager to share insights about their property. The amenities were top-notch, with hot showers available day and night. Plus, the handy map provided at the gate made exploring the property a breeze.
Located conveniently near Litchfield National Park and Dundee Beach, we even managed a refreshing swim at Berry Springs. Highly recommended for families looking to unwind and connect with nature!

We loved our time at Samson Creek. First visit, definitely won't be the last. Perfect spot to hang out with friends around the campfire, serene and secluded. It was a great base to visit Litchfield. Coming back to a hot shower in the great amenities block was amazing! Hosts were great to deal with as well. Thanks Aisla and John!

Treetops was so secluded and private it was lovely. The fire pit with hot plate was excellent and so easy not needing to bring a camp stove. Absolutely loved it and will definitely be back soon!

What an incredible camp! We are absolutely in LOVE with it! After traveling for three months from Perth to Darwin, we can confidently say this is one of our top favorites. The hot showers are such a delightful luxury! 💦😉 The fireplaces add an amazing touch, too. It's clear that it's a passion project done with so much love.

Absolutely awesome campground. Excellent facilities, lots of space to spread out. Easy check-in and beautiful bush surround. Very peaceful!

This was our 2nd visit to Samson Creek. The serenity here is outstanding. We thoroughly enjoy the peace & have our own space with the next camp quite a way off. We also had a quick trip to Dundee Beach for lunch. Aisla is a wonderful host & came to say hello.

Samson Creek - Jackson
We loved our little escape to Samson Creek and camping at Jackson. Such a beautiful location on the river, to enjoy nature and the outdoors. Only a short drive with easy to follow directions. The campsites are positioned great so as every one can enjoy the space, along with awesome fireplaces and park benches. Great shower and toilet facility too.
We will certainly be back.

We loved our stay at this camp site, truely a hidden gem of Darwin . The directions were clear and it was well maintained and looked after. We especially loved the welcome note on the shower block chalk board. The camp site is well secluded and there is even chopped fire wood waiting with an excellent fire pit /bbq on every site. The road is good and getting there is very easy and I highly recommend this spot. The river is a short walk from site and although we didn’t really do any fishing we did see a few Barra getting around at night so another added bonus if your looking for a quite of grid spot were you can have a flick minutes from your camp. The shower block and toilet was excellent and we definitely be back for another visit soon . Thank you again for having us!

WOW, Samson Creek is our new favourite local spot to get away.
We enjoyed the close proximity to Darwin (1 hour) and the very easy access to camp sites. Amenities were #1 with hot/cold shower and flushing toilet.
The seclusion is perfect and we bush walked the many tracks through the Savannah woodlands along the flowing creek and billabong.

Really enjoyed our stay here it was quite central for places like Dundee beach, berry springs and Litchfield which was great. We loved the outdoor shower/toilet block that was there it was spacious, clean and has made us want to invest in one :) We had a fire each night, we’re thankful for the firewood left there for us only thing we’d warn people about is the mozzies but just use bug spray and wear full length sleeves and you’ll be fine.

Was a great night. Quiet. Well maintained. Shower and toilet modern bush style. Fire place with BBQ was handy. Directions were great. Seemed to be that the host had supplied some firewood even tho we got a little on the way in. Water supplied to put your fire out properly. We got in early to set up then went exploring Wagiat Beach. We will visit again.

Great bush camping close to town. Excellent clean facilities, lots of space, felt like we had the place to ourselves even though there were other campers. Great BBQ and picnic table at the Jackson sites. Aisla is an excellent host, very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Samson Creek was awesome in so many ways. The reservation was smooth and easy. Easy to follow correct directions were supplied and the road in was very well maintained. As a Darwin local I am so happy to have found this gem. All the camp sites are well maintained and arranged and the ablution facilities were top notch. The hosts were wonderful and it was obvious they have a deep love and connection to their property. I even noticed that the suggested improvements in previous reviews had been taken on board and actioned. The only thing I’m not sure of is if I should tell everyone I know how great this place is or keep it too myself. Thanks so much, we will be back for sure. 10 out of 10 legends!!!!

Beautiful spot for an escape to the bush. We really felt alone and secluded but safe. The land was welcoming and looked after us with visits from owls, amazing birds and a baby salty crossing the weir on our way in.. It’s really what top end camping is about. 25 mins to Crab Claw Island for a beer, and 25mins to a swim at Berry Springs on the way there and on the way home. My only gripe being we couldn’t stay a week. We’ll definitely be back - it’s pretty special here. We chose Jackson’s which was perfect for two of us. We swagged it this time, but could easily have brought the camper trailer and set up with nice flat ground and plenty of turning space.

Samson Creek - Treetops
The amenities were clean and worked well, and the hot shower was nice. The wildlife and bush surrounds were beautiful, and it was a short drive from town, making it a great place to get away for a weekend. The only issue was with the Treetops site. While it is a great site, we found it to be very uneven, which made it difficult to setup our camp. Overall, it was a great spot, and we will be back!

What a spot! You can tell the owners have put a lot of time and effort into setting this place up. Lots of attention to detail in everything, walking paths cleared throughout, signage for the sites etc. Sites are all fairly private, we stayed at “Jackson” which had heaps of room for the camper trailer and paths leading down to the creek. Good location with lots of nearby places for day trips. Hosts were lovely.
