Litchfield Campground: Simple, Budget-Friendly Roadside Stopover Missed out on a national park spot because the online booking system says "full"—even when sites sit empty? Skip the hassle! Litchfield Campground is your easy, budget-friendly alternative located right on the doorstep of the park's iconic swimming holes, monsoon forests, and magnetic termite mounds. We offer a "back-to-basics" basecamp so you can spend your money and time on adventures. The Setup Easy Access: Located right off the main road with no winding tracks. Just pull into the driveway, and all sites are to your RIGHT. Space for Everyone: Around 40 spacious, open-plan, drive-through RV spots. The Vibe: A casual, communal clearing. It offers limited, if any, shade, but navigation is a breeze, and the 2026 evenings are predicted to be beautifully cool. Fuel Your Adventure (Coffee & Food) We love supporting our local community! For your daily cravings, we recommend: Early Coffee: Check out our wonderful neighbours at KIN Coffee & Goods, open Wed to Mon from 8:00 AM if you want to grab a great brew before heading out. Lunch & Relaxing: Come visit us 8km down the road at our very own Wangi Falls Cafe (Open 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM). We have a fantastic menu and gift shop. Our friendly, helpful staff can't wait to look after you! (Please note: The Litchfield Cafe directly adjacent to the campground is closed to the public). Important Guest Requirements To keep our rates the lowest in the area, we ask that you review these guidelines before booking: 100% Self-Contained ONLY: You must bring your own water, power, and toilet/shower setup. No Dump Point: There are no waste disposal facilities on-site. Basic Amenities: There are no campsite bathrooms. However, guests have 24hr access to the unlocked disabled toilet at the adjacent Litchfield Cafe. Bring a torch! Pet Friendly: Your furry co-pilots are very welcome, but they must remain on a lead at all times to keep local wildlife and other guests safe.

The Site Setup We offer approximately 40 drive-through sites, meaning no difficult reversing or tight manoeuvring is required. Open Layout: The grounds are cleared and open. While this means limited shade and privacy, it provides excellent manoeuvrability for even the largest rigs. Large Footprints: Our sites are quite generous in size. Depending on the size of your setup, you may comfortably fit two campers or vans on a single site—perfect for friends or families traveling together. Surface: Flat, easy-access ground suitable for all types of self-contained RVs, caravans, and camper trailers. Dry ground May to Oct. Strictly Self-Contained: You must carry your own water and have an on-board toilet/greywater system. Why Stay With Us? If you want to spend your day swimming at Wangi or Florence Falls and just need a reliable, affordable place to park up for the night, this is it. No hidden fees for facilities you don't need—just a simple, large space to call home for the night.

Spacious unpowered drive through spot. Plenty of sun for our solar. No water hook up or dump point. Our friends stayed at the campsite next door for the same price with water, toilet/shower and dump point.

Perfect location to view all the sites within the park, easy check in and massive sites so definitely not on top of each other, we stayed for 3 days and would stay again if we were to visit Litchfield

Wonderful hip camp located literally across the road from Litchfield National Park. Close to all of Litchfield's attractions including Wangi for an afternoon swim. Excellent hosts, lots of space, true drive through sites. Hosts attitudes are Excellent in their philosophy and if the national parks are booked out, this is a wonderful alternative.

Great spot, very spacious and really close to the best spots of Litchfield National Park. It has very clean and maintained toilets, but no power, water or rubbish bins, so you just need to be aware of that.

Greeted by Jordan who was warm and hospitable. Large sights with heaps of space. One toilet is available and you can expect some generator noise when the sun goes down. Best value for money in Litchfield

Great flat open area, toilet on site for use too. Perfect budget camp, really close to all of the sites and a great little cafe just down the road too. Definitely recommend!
