RV/tent site · Sleeps 5 · Vehicles under 100 m
Herbert Homestead is 10 acres of Territory rural living on a flat and mostly cleared block, 43kms from Darwin. Are you wanting some space after parking on top of other campers for some time. Got kids and want them to have some space to ride their bikes and wander around exploring? We are surrounded by about 30 mango trees and several acres of lawn area.  Residents include 3 cows, a dog, a cat and a family of curlews. Bird enthusiasts will have the opportunity to see kookaburras, forest kingfishers, bush stone curlews, coucal pheasants, red-winged parrots, magpie geese, blue honey-eaters and other seasonal birds.  Black Jungle, Lampbell's, Benham and Benjamin Lagoons are close by and it's a 10 minute trip to Humpty Doo Woolworths.  While you're here watch the spectacular Territory sunsets take a 10 minute drive to the famous Humpty Doo Hotel, one of the NTs longest continually licensed premises with great meals. Humpty Golf course is also a short drive away.  Explore Litchfield and Kakadu at your leisure. It's only a short scenic 25 minute drive to Fog Dam Conservation Reserve too. Sorry no pets or campfires allowed.
