The Upper Cut Site 2 on Cloud 9
The posting should have been updated to reflect that the outdoor shower was not currently operational. Other than that it was as described and lovely enough, but the shower was the only reason I booked. I requested a partial refund as I cut my trip short due to this (which, intentional or not, was a misrepresentation) and received no word back.

Best time ever
My sisters and I throughly enjoyed our stay at Jessica’s! The setup is beautiful and wonderful, as are the people and puppers we encountered.
We felt very safe and comfortable. Jessica had amazing recommendations also for hiking/ tourist spots!! Jessica also worked with us on our reservation, being we arrived later than anticipated.
We hope to visit again one day :)

I liked the hospitality and genuine friendliness of Jessica and the other campers. Generally, I like camping a little more remotely, so I didn't really know how close the campsites were to the main road until I got there. Not a huge issue, though.

Ready hospitable and kind hosts!
I would recommend the location for a quiet time and fellowship. My boys enjoyed the play time and get to camp out with dad! To me spending the time and seeing the lovely scenery is always worth it. Thanks again.

Amazing Site
Rain or shine this was a beautiful property, with a gorgeous view! Jess and her tenants were so nice, and it really felt like a sweet community than just a tent site! Can’t wait to come back!

Creekside Vanlife or car camping
Great place to camp. Lovely people and land. Everything was exactly how it is described in the description. The full kitchen is great if you do not have extra room for kitchen supplies. Would recommend.

The Apache Vintage Pop-up Creekside
Camping where all are welcome…
This was our 2nd time staying at cloud 9. While we were not prepared for the nearly freezing nighttime temperatures, Jessa was more than accommodating providing us w/ extra blankets, 2 electric blankets, & even a space heater. She went so far as to even offer us additional layering clothes if needed. She continues to grow her camping sites & look forward to what she does in the future. Will definitely stay again, maybe in the springtime 😀

I want to thank Jessica for her amazing hospitality and home welcoming environment! I loved camping here and being apart of this community. Everyone around is so intelligent, kind, and in synch with nature and spirituality ! I would definitely come back to enjoy and relive this experience. Oh yea and shadow loved me , he laid in front of my tent every morning to protect me from bears lol

Nice spot to stay
Overall we had a great experience. There was a dog who kept running around and agitating my dog as well as my camp neighbors dog. Also the cart was not very helpful, as soon as we made it to the hill all of our belongings kept falling off. But the site was large and private which was great!

Jessica was awesome. It was our first time camping and her property is a great way to get your feet wet while feeling comfortable and connected to people. We’ll definitely be returning!

My daughter and I enjoyed our three-night stay at Cloud 9. Jessica is a thoughtful and caring host. It was a pleasure meeting others staying here. The tiny home is cozy and clean with freshly laundered bedding and the peaceful sound of the creek.

More communal than private vibes
Our goal was to take our sons camping for their first time. Goal achieved! While we expected more privacy, the host has created a community of folks who visit often and all were nice and engaging company. If you're expecting a private get-away experience, this site offers more communal vibes. Cloud 9 may also be suitable for older children (teens) and adults. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and our host. We enjoyed our 2 nights out here. We weren't given much of an explanation of the layout and where to set up our tent. We arrived around 10pm so we just searched around and found a spot eventually. Othet quests and us were not able to find the potable water point. The shower didn't provide hot water, I think the propane may have run out. Other than that, the kitchen area was accommodating to our needs other than the fridge being too full. It is a cute little property though. A nice little shallow creek runs along it and there was no dangerous wildlife around during our stay. We were told by the host that she had to leave short notice before our arrival so I'm sure she would have been around to fix all the other things if she was on site. Still recommend this place if you need a getaway. Thank you, Jessica!

Creekside - just like it looks!
Jessica was very impressive as a human being. She has created such a fun and authentic camp space. It was my first time car camping and she helped me set up my tent. The creek sound is very settling. Jessica’s son is wonderful and fun to learn from. There was much more to explore, my trip too short. Lake Lore and hiking available as well as BBQ and even sushi at the bottom of the hill.

Sweet community camping experience
Lovely spot! I found the fridge in the communal kitchen particularly helpful during my long term stay. The field of flowers was beautiful both day and night because of the fireflies! My tent spot under the pines stayed pretty dry despite a good rain shower.
I really enjoyed and appreciated my stay at cloud 9!

Homey and relaxed camping experienc
The tent camping spot under the pines stayed super dry in the rain. Theres a lovely creek with a little waterfall. Theres a charming little hiking trail and the field full of fireflies was so lovely. A beautiful spot! There was also a communal kitchen thay came in very handy for my longer stay. The outdoor shower was nice, but the system was a little fussy and the water went cold periodically. Adjusting the controls brought the heat back though. The internet was bad for phone calls but seemed to work fine for the videos and emails I needed to do. All in all a great little spot and just a windy drive up from a super cute town and all kinds of outdoorsy fun!

Campin in the NC mountains
From the beginning we were greeted by Jess and the energy was so amazing. She made us feel so welcome and walked us through the property which had crops full of fire flies, beautiful stars at night, amazing campers, fire pits, hot water, kitchen with all the essentials, creeks my dog loved, and a trail we enjoyed so much. I highly recommend this site and would absolutely come back. I was so hesitant at first and I’m so glad Jess made such an awesome host. Enjoy! Please book! She also has an amazing doggo named shadow that’s the sweetest and played with my gal ❤️ — such a special spot with amazing memories made

Overall it was a beautiful space with convenient amenities. The campsite was spacious and there was already wood in my fire pit when I got there. Plenty of potable water and the porta-potties were very clean- much appreciated! The summer kitchen had plenty of dishes and utensils to use as well.
A way to make it better : I think having some quiet hours rules and making sure campers with dogs are being responsible owners - either leash the dogs or make sure people are keeping an eye on their dogs. For example, Someone’s dog barked until almost 130am the first night and then came to my tent and whined and sniffed on it waking me up. Then it pooped behind my tent the next morning (owners of the dog didn’t look after it so didn’t pick up the poop) and tried to pee on the side of my tent. The second night someone played hip-hop music until after 330am. Personally, When I go camping I’m trying to get away from the annoyances of life and enjoy the peace of nature. This is more of a free-for-all/semi party vibe that I didn’t anticipate. To each is own but I’m tired and irritated after all that.

A gem in the NC Mountains!
Jessica was so friendly and willing to accomodate our stay! The property has a beautiful common backyard with a fire pit, warm showers and great kitchen space. Also nice indoor space with board games and a friendly dog. A delightful gem in the NC mountains which I hope to be back for, at such an affordable price with more value to offer.

Solid spot!
Jessica had a great convenient set up for campers and as a fellow hip camper we enjoyed connecting about our properties etc. close to downtown Black Mountain as well
We were greeted by a large black bear 100ft from the tent. He wasn’t aggressive but a reminder to ensure food is packed away in the car and locked. Our 3 night stay was wonderful and the outdoor shower was solid!
My dogs had a great time with Their dog Shadow.
