Amazing spot, beautiful pond, well maintained mowed area to set up tents, grill food, have a bonfire. Perfect place to camp after a show at SPAC. Thanks I’ll definitely be back!

Camp site was very pretty! Before arriving, I received a call from Paul about direction, which was very helpful and fishing was great. Easy spot for car, and even though our tent broke, it was super fun!

Paul has a hidden gem of a camp spot! Secluded with a great pond! Driving around the pond is a little tight. We parked by the cabin and enjoyed the fire pit at the edge of the water. We would definitely return if in the area again.

We loved Paul’s camping site sooooo muchhhh!!! As a returning camper to Paul’s camping site, I can confidently say that this is the one of the nices spot I’ve found in HipCamp! Would love to come again sometime this year!!

We loved Paul’s place- very private and gorgeous yet easy to access!!! The pond view was amazing especially with beautiful foliage. Everything was as described except for the firedwood- we were allowed to gather dead branched on the ground (instead of buying them), which we truly appreciated! Would love to come back.

The tent camping on Paul's land was wonderful! It was nice and private and the pond was beautiful! We had fun fishing and a great fire. The outhouse was nice and clean too. Definitely worth it! You can hear some traffic from the surrounding roads but it wasn’t too bad.

The site was awesome! This was my first hipcamp booking it exceed expectations. Outhouse was clean and the small shed was great to keep stuff out of the rain and hot sun. As others have mentioned, bring a pop up tent. The camp spot is in full sun in the afternoon so a bit of shade would be nice. The pond was great. We caught a few bass and sunfish. It’s really convenient for SPAC concerts only 15 minutes and a straight shot from the venue.

My son and I had a great time camping here! We had traveled up for a concert at SPAC, and it was so convenient (only 20 minutes down the road). It was close enough to all of the main attractions, yet remote enough that we did not see another car or person the whole time. Paul and his dog Baron were very friendly. We would love to come back and would recommend to everyone.

Many of my friends and I all came into the area to celebrate the life of a friend who was about to expire from this realm. We needed a private place to feel connected, and Paul’s place was perfect in every way. We were close enough to the action of Saratoga, yet felt as if we’re time zones away.
Host: best of the best! Paul was so welcoming, and also left us to ourselves to take in the wonderful property he has. He was so kind, patient and understanding 10/10
Location: Ballston Spa is a lovely offshoot of Saratoga. Paul’s place is about 8min south of there, but it is great. If you have a car, it is easy to get to. On busy weekends, it can be a bit tricky to land an Uber/Lyft, but if you are kind and resourceful, you’ll find your way ;)
Amenities: A private pond/lake!?! Woah! Lovely to enjoy that. A cute shed to keep stuff dry in case of rain. A fire pit and a couple grill offerings were put to great use by use during our stay. There’s some real gems around the pond and we had a blast lighting them up. The outhouse with outhouse stuff, all good in my book. This place rocks and I hope I am fortunate to spend some time here again. Biggest thanks to Paul! He’s the BEST

Wonderful location. Their privacy, yet you are close enough to town if you needed anything. There are a lot of birds, fireflies and bullfrogs at night. Wonderful night sky. There is a clean outhouse. I would recommend bringing sort of canopy for the afternoon sun. I brought 10 gallons of water for 5 days of camping per person. That was plenty to drink and to wash up with. Garbage disposal and recycling are a plus. I did kayak in the pond several times. The water was nice and warm. The pond is long enough to have a leisurely paddle. There were a lot of fish. The solar lights around the pond at night gave this property the extra touch.
The site is within walking distance of a bike path. If you’re looking for an easy walk through some beautiful woods, I would suggest Anchor Diamond Park. They have a clean porta-potty in the parking lot. There was a busy winery close by the park.
Fast response from the host with any questions. Very accommodating. The site is within hearing range of train tracks and the occasional main road noise, however my dog is super sensitive to noises she isn’t familiar with and she didn’t react once. I look forward to returning.

My friend and I had an amazing time camping on Paul’s land. It’s a super pretty spot with a very nice outhouse, firewood, plenty of chairs, a fire pit, and a nice pond that we caught bass out of. It’s really close to lots of fun stuff too. I am hoping to go back and stay again because it was really great!

Plenty of grassy, level space by the pond with lots of privacy and easy access to Saratoga. Owner has a very cool pooch too. We enjoyed our three-night stay and would definitely return!

It was a great remote location, tucked away and private. Paul’s dog Baron stayed with us the whole time and was very friendly with us and our friend’s dogs.
Paul also helped us out when our air mattress pump did not work.
