I had three perfect nights at Cotton Hill! The campsite had everything I needed, with many beautiful touches-- fresh flowers, s'more ingredients, cozy blankets, etc etc. I slept soundly on the comfortable bed, made simple delicious meals over the fire and the toilet was comfortable and clean! I walked around the property, swam in the pond, took day hikes, and did a tour of Hope Cavern. Mostly I stayed at the campsite soaking in the breeze and watching the clouds. The tent even withstood a sudden storm burst without a problem! Heidi was available if I needed, but I was content on my own the whole time. I highly recommend this peaceful and beautiful spot!

The Hilltop Glampsite is such a peaceful getaway! The view is absolutely gorgeous and the nearby pond is delightful. Plus, the camp site is thoughtfully stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I’m looking forward to coming back!

My two buddies and I really enjoyed this place. Beautiful view of the stars at night and nice quiet space for us for the weekend. The tent was big enough for three of us and we enjoyed plenty of the amenities (firewood, water, kitchen, smores). We also heard plenty of wildlife - owls, coyotes.. made for a fun experience. Plenty of great hiking nearby.
It's a small walk from the parking area but they have a wagon that you can use to help bring your stuff.

I had such a wonderful time during my stay. Everything is so well thought out. Heidi has done such a great job with this set up, I had everything I could possibly need and more! So many thoughtful touches and kind gestures. Will definitely be returning.

We had such an amazing time camping on Heidi’s beautiful wildflower covered hill. The spot had a gorgeous view that’s perfect for stargazing and watching epic sunsets. The tent was cozy and clean. We had everything we needed for a perfect stay, including fresh cut flowers and s’mores supplies. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this spot.

Camp away on Cotton Hill was beautiful! The view of the valley and calm mornings were the perfect addition to getting engaged! Heidi helped my fiancé find the best time and spot, as well as sent a small basket of chocolate and strawberries to celebrate! We could not thank Heidi enough for her kindness and hospitality!

Heidi's site was amazing, we had such a nice time. Everything is so well maintained, wild flowers everywhere. The tent is on a small hill so you have the perfect view. The creek and fossil creek trail were so fun to do with our dogs, and very easy to get to. We definitely would love to visit again.

Hilltop Glampsite
This was such a great site -- the tent is immaculate and much more spacious than expected. The fireflies every night were amazing and made up for the fact that the moon was full so stars weren't the best (we are definitely going back when the moon is new --- I am sure they will be stunning). The pond is PERFECT. It's got a rocky beach with a slow descent into deliciously cool clean water. The dock in the middle of the pond is fun to sunbathe on and practice diving. My 12 year old made us go every morning right after breakfast, then in the afternoon, then in the evening....:). The views of the surrounding tree-covered hills/mountains were spectacular. On the hottest day we drove over to the Secret Caverns (near Howe Caverns) to enjoy the natural air conditioning and spectacular rock formations. This sight was great with just me and my little one, but would be equally enjoyable with a larger group -- there is plenty of space (if a little sloped) for games and the picnic table/kitchen area was very well-equipped. The ice cold water in the bright orange 5gal water jug was a really really nice surprise. Definitely heading back when we can. Thanks so much, Heidi, for a wonderful stay.

Heidi’s property is so beautiful! A perfect place to watch the sunset and cook a great meal over the fire. There’s a pond on the land with a paddle board and a canoe, which were so fun to use. The creek/fossil hike was also great to do with our dog. The hosts provided everything we needed at the campsite (i.e., firewood, kindling, cooking gear, comfy bed, etc) as well as lovely little touches like fresh flowers by the bed. Would visit again!

Hilltop Glampsite
This is a sweet spot on a hillside. Mountain views are beautiful. Our kids really enjoyed kayaking on the pond and using the stand up paddle board. The tent is really nice, clean and sturdy and we pitched a second tent on site for the kids. Everyone had a great time.

My Children & I had such a great time at the Hilltop Glampsite. The tent was well taken care of and everything you need on basic camping equipment was available in the kitchen area.
The best part of it all was the pond and the fossil creek, just steps away from the campsite. The owner Heidi and her husband are super nice and down to earth. They were also super quick in responding to any questions we had during our stay.

This was the most amazing glamping experience! Heidi’s tent is situated atop a hill with the perfect vantage point for breath-taking sunsets. The tent has a heater which I wasn’t expecting! Her property is gorgeous and extensive, as well as very well maintained. Heidi was very helpful and communicative making sure we had everything we needed. The perfect little getaway! We will definitely be back.

This was such a lovely spot to land for an evening, on our way to visit family. Everything was so comfortable and well organized. We arrived at just after sunset and were easily able to move our things up the hill to the tent, use the bathroom, take in the view and admire the wildflowers and the moon all before heading to The Babbling Brook to get a late dinner before the kitchen closed at 9. It was drizzling in the morning when we woke up, so we decided to pack up and head out, but definitely plan to make this a stop-over spot and to arrive earlier next time better enjoy our time there.

I loved camping here with my little family. Nothing quite beats sitting round a campfire, or looking out over a beautiful mountainous vista and pond while the sun sets all around you. On arrival, the little cart from the parking lot was super helpful for lugging our gear up the well-kept hillside. The first thing we noticed was how incredible the wildflowers were! The whole hillside was lit up with yellows an purples which was spectacular.
The tent itself is spacious and warm, decorated with little details such as guidebooks and freshly picked flowers. You can quite literally lie in bed and look out at the view, or choose to chill on the deck under a sun umbrella which is a very nice touch. Highly recommend roasting marshmallows and making s'mores after sundown. Heidi's hilltop is truly special and we'd love to return!

We had a great stay at Heidi's property. We loved being up on the hill and enjoying the sunsets. The fixed tent was very spacious and clean, and we also brought along a few of our own tents.
We really enjoyed exploring the property and having fires at night. I'd love to come back for another visit! Thank you!!

A++ site!!! My girlfriend and I (and our dog) absolutely loved our time at Campaway on Cotton Hill.
The hosts have thought of pretty much everything. They were very responsive and friendly. They provide just about any and all utensils you will need, a large jug of water, firewood waiting for you, a charging device for your phones, a cooler, a binder full of local recommendations including map of the property and more.
The tent was immaculate when we arrived and is spacious and charming. The sunset view from the little porch in front of the tent is postcard worthy. The pond which is a short walk from the tent is clean and wonderful. We all enjoyed taking several dips during our visit as it was very, very hot outside. There's a very heavily shaded trail near the pond that leads to a lovely stream. With all the tree cover and cool stream water it felt almost 20 degrees cooler back there than in the sun. It was wonderful.
I can't recommend this site enough. Other hosts should take note. This is pretty much a perfect site.

We had a great time at the hilltop glamping site. The tent was very well stocked with everything we needed and Heidi, the host was easy to communicate with and checked in with us to make sure everything was ok. My only hesitation is that it was a very hot weekend and there was no shade near the tent. But other than that, the site, the land, and the tent were great! There was plenty of privacy and a great view! And we enjoyed walking down to visit the yaks next door, and walk around the lake. Thank you Heidi!

I absolutely loved tent camping at Heidi’s! The property itself is perfectly set atothe hilltop with mountain and sunset views that were to die for. The stars at night paired with the silence and fresh air can reset and refresh the soul!

We had an absolutely perfect weekend at Heidi’s beautiful tent site. The tent itself was immaculate, with a comfy mattress and bedding that was a step above what you’d expect to find in a tent. There were also nice additional touches including a guidebook with local recommendations, clean carpeting, side tables with lamps as well as a little radio and a small charging device for topping up cell phones.
The location was exactly what we were looking for. Felt like we were in the middle of farm land, but still close enough of a drive to be able to get to nice restaurants, wineries, breweries. The tent side is on a grassy hill with expansive views of the surrounding land. You park your car at the bottom of the hill and walk your bags up (maybe 100m) with a provided wheeled hand buggy (another nice touch!).
We spend two nights at camp, and wanted to spend longer. Just a really lovely getaway hosted by a friendly and responsive host. 10/10 would recommend. Do yourself a favor and book this site now!!

I loved tent camping here! The site was setup beautifully and supplied nicely. Heidi has a wonderful pond to dip in, trails to explore, and site to relish in. Can watch the sun rise set from your nice hill spot (though the sun rise is better viewed from other directions). Heidi was a great host, responsive, and helpful to all questions!

Our family had a blast! Here are the highlights and lowlights:
Pros:
1. Heidi's private pond is perfect for fishing and boating all day.
2. The sunrise and sunset views are breathtaking, ideal for stunning photos.
3. There's an abundance of firwoods for cozy campfires.
4. Firefly displays at night are magical.
5. Plenty of nearby attractions, conveniently mapped out by Heidi.
Cons:
1. Limited shade; bring sunscreen if you're not a fan of sun.
2. Small water tank required frequent refills.
3. Guest parking could be closer, as hauling gear uphill was a bit of a workout.
Overall, Heidi and her family were fantastic hosts, ensuring our needs were met promptly. Highly recommended for a summer getaway! Thanks, Heidi!
