Bluming Fields is a 150-acre horse farm in the Hudson Valley. The land is full of old oak trees, rolling fields, and gorgeous views. On the property are vernal springs, lavender fields, horses (of course), and all sorts of flora and fauna. Deer and foxes are common sightings as well as a diverse range of birds, from cardinals to orioles to goldfinches. We love to have kind ands calm guests stay out in the open, quiet. It’s a special place full of history from Native American to colonial times and near some amazing spots like minnewaska state park, the shawangunks, Lipman park. Space is limited so people can have privacy and nature. By showing up / staying at the farm, you agree that you assume all financial and legal liability for anything that you do or that happens to you, and that you are here at your own risk!  You need to share this info sheet with everyone in your group because it is the same for them.  Please make sure everyone knows the rules so everyone stays safe and it can be the simple, easy, fun, pleasant experience it is meant to be. It's $25 per person per night. If not through Hipcamp or Airbnb, payment can be made via Venmo to @alexandersblum. If you booked through Hipcamp or Airbnb, they handle the money but if you bring more people and or stay longer, we can settle up privately.  Please be forthright and proactive about this! If you paid privately (not through Hipcamp or Airbnb, for example) and have to cancel, there are no refunds but you will get a credit for a return visit. If you booked through pitch Up, we need to settle up upon arrival.  They only take out a small percentage. Here are some basic guidelines for keeping things cool and keeping things safe! And please spread the good word (via word of mouth or a review on yelp, google, a climbing chat room, hipcamp, or at your local climbing gym/ bike club. You may drive up to your site on the mowed paths but use common sense re areas that are mushy with 2wd rental cars.  We also have sites that are just off the driveway and way better for winter or wet conditions. Please don’t get stuck.   It’s not a given we will have time, or even can pull you out.  AAA is a sucky way to spend money.  When it’s not been rainy, the ground is perfect for pretty much any car.  If it’s been raining, the clay slicks up. 1) Small campfires are allowed.  Bonfires are not! Firewood is available at the Damn Good Honey farm stand next door.  You may not scavenge for firewood!   2) Please put out your campfire and don’t burn trash! 3) Small children must never be left unattended by campfire (or anywhere).  PLEASE- any accidents resulting from this are COMPLETELY preventable by YOU! 4) Bring your own cook grates. 5) There is no running water- bring your own! 6) Please stay in your camping area (this is especially true if you have smaller kids) and pls keep away from the farmhouse (where we live!) and the property line (edge of the field).  Stay only on the mowed paths and please keep to your immediate campsite. 7) Garbage is carry in and carry out! 8) Bathrooms - For #1, you can use the fields. For #2, you will need to drive to a nearby gas station or walmart. Don’t take a dump on my land, where children play often, please 😳😳😳💩💩💩! 9) Local brew pubs include Rough Cut Brewery (2 miles away on 44/55), Arrowood Brewery (5 miles away).  They are both awesome places! 10) Bring kindling/ matches. 11) Walmart (food and camping stuff) is 3 miles south on US 209 and open 24/7 EMERGENCIES 12) Well-behaved dogs that stay close to you (if necessary by leash) and that you pick up after are welcome.    13) If it’s legal in New York State, that’s fine because that’s where you are. 14) You and or anyone in your group can be asked to leave at any point for any reason.   This is private property.  And you would have to be exceptionally rude, incredibly needy, threatening , engaged in illegal or uncool behavior, for us to ask you to move on.  But we have the last word, so be cool, respect the rules, be self-sufficient, have a nice time, respect the land and everyone around you, and we will have no problem at all!   Thanks! I loved camping on Alex's land. I ended up staying at Camp 3 on top of the hill and it had gorgeous views! Would definitely recommend a stay here. :)

Jason was extremely helpful and was such a gracious host. He helped us move our gear and wood up to site 3. The views were amazing as well and the site was well kept!

We camped on site 3. The site was great and comfortable (grass), with a beautiful view. The host was kind enough to provide us some kindling to start our campfire. We loved the experience and will return for sure.

Bluming Fields farm is a beautiful and quiet spot that's close to the gas station and Rough Cut Brewing, just a couple miles away. Perfect place to camp overnight before climbing in the Gunks. Only thing to know is parking is a bit of a walk from actual campsites, so be prepared to make a few trips or pack light. I'd definitely stay here again!

Loved the hilltop - the property was accessible but nestled away in a peaceful serene setting. Will definitely try to book one of Alexander's campsites again next time we're in the area!

In a word, excellent
Fantastic views and beautiful open sky. We were the only campers (out of three sites) and had great privacy. Great location too! Hands off, but with great communication. Alexander makes it easy to enjoy the solitude while catching a glimpse or two of farm life.

A very convenient and private spot on a field, next to old horse barns. A beautiful view of the mountains around you. Don't miss the old oak tree on top of the hill! There are no facilities or water, so come prepared!
