Yarrawin is 680 acre cattle farm and hardwood timber plantation in the heart of the Nambucca Valley, offering scenic, secluded , private campsites with their own swimming hole and a river gravel beach on 3km of beautiful double river frontage. Camping options include river side camps, the Shack and riverside camp and a large secluded valley. Each campsite is separate from the others, giving guests privacy and exclusive use of the swimming hole (except Chinamans Valley) at their site. All riverside sites offer a natural gravel beach entry into the water. There are no amenities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. Every site has a fire pit which must be used for campfires. If you want to use your own it must be off the ground. Only sand mats or similar, NO TARPS, to be set up on the grassed areas to preserve the grass. Free firewood and fire pit set up for the first night, IF YOU STAY TWO NIGHTS OR MORE. Firewood $20/ night after that (CASH ONLY PLEASE), except when camping at Chinamans Valley where you collect your own free firewood for each night. Beautiful drinking rain water is available in a 20lt Jerry can if required on arrival. Bird lovers can enjoy watching the various bird varieties, as well as ducks. Animals include wallabies, goannas, deer and fish as well as cattle and stock horses. Fishing is okay but it is STRICTLY catch and release ONLY. There are many places to go bushwalking, either following the river or heading up the valleys or hiking up the hills through the trees. The property is just 10kms from the convenience of Bowraville, a historic township with a supermarket, folk museum, a war museum, a historic theatre, and other historic buildings. Nambucca Heads and the beautiful surrounding beaches are just 27kms east and Coffs Harbour 80kms away. Please note this is a working farm, so there will be cattle and stock horses on the property that may approach your campsite.

THE Swimming Hole
Number 1 on our Hip Camp list
Such a beautiful property with very private individual sites. Ian & Bobby are definitely super hosts. We can’t wait for our next visit, a great Hip Camp for any time of the year and not far from Bowraville if you need supplies.

Top Flat Swimming Hole
Fabulous place to camp. We camped on a lovely swimming hole. Plenty of birdlife and curious, friendly cows! Exceptionally friendly, kind and generous hosts. Very scenic property to explore. We will be back. Highly recommended!

THE Swimming Hole
Caravaning with pets and friends
What can I say about this piece of paradise? This would be in our top two of Hipcamps. From the time you drive in the gate and are welcomed by Bobbie and Ian you just get lost in its beauty. Lush green sites with no one in site. The 680 acres of farm land have huge sites well placed apart and all have your personal swimming hole to either sit in a chair enjoying a wine or beer or take a swim in the deeper areas. The walks around this amazing place can get you lost in its beauty. All the sites are flat for all types of vans or any type of camping. There is not a bad site on this property and we would choose any one of them when we return. Dump point 20 min away at Macksville and you can top up with water at the beautiful town or Bowraville. Just a short drive away. Grab a great feed at the newly renovated club and wander through the museum after. Bobbie and Ian are two of the nicest people you will meet on your travels. Showed us where to camp where we found our fire pit all set to go and all you have to do is light it. We will definitely have this one on our call in places when ever travelling north. Thanks so much Yarrawin you are definitely etched in our memories for ever.

THE Swimming Hole
Simply amazing!!
This is an amazing camping spot! Ian and Bobbie were great host, and loved the brownies gifted on arrival! The firewood provided per night was a generous amount, and we just couldn't get enough of having the fire each night by the river. There was cows, horses, wallabies around us; with the odd curious cow popping by to check us out.
