This property is located in one of the most spectacular areas on the Clyde River, with fantastic river frontage. The land is uniquely located between Pigeon House, Byangee Walls, and The Castle and The Budawang Wilderness Area, so makes a fantastic basecamp for those wanting to explore this beautiful part of the Morton National Park. The property is ideal for those keen on paddling, fishing, walking, listening to the many bird species, or simply absorbing the beautiful energy of this natural retreat. Please also note that there is no reception in this area, the closest place for phone reception is at Pigeon House Mountain. In the event of any emergency the caretaker does have STARLINK to assist with contacting medical authorities or family.

I wish on the site it would tell you how far in it actually is from the main road and how rough it can get. Also having a medical condition not knowing there is no mobile service would of been a plus. Also to meet the owner is past the gate you need to turn into and have to back track which is hard with a caravan. Once you actually get there it is very beautiful.if you know the above you will have a great time.

Really loved the site. River is really nice. Just make sure you go down to the end of the campsites through the gate for the good swimming spot. The road in is pretty much for 4WD only. My car barely made it but got there in the end

Decent campsite with everything you need. However, I would not recommend this site for anyone who has a smaller 2wd. To get to the campsite you must drive for almost 1.5 hours on poorly maintained dirt and gravel roads, with some very rocky and muddy parts. My 2wd certainly struggled and I am not looking forward to the mechanics bill when I get home. Any warning would have been very helpful, allowing me to bring a 4wd instead. Unfortunately to compound this there seems to be a plague of cicadas in the area right now, much more than the usual amount. The sound was deafening, our eardrums were hurting after spending a few hours at the campsite. We ended up leaving early. I know this is out of the hosts control but it was enough to want me to not come back there for a visit, despite my love for off the grid campsites.

Great family spot
This was our first experience with Hipcamp and off grid camping. We had a fabulous time. The swimming area was beautiful and the kids (and adults) had a ball with the body boards and stand up paddle. The rope swing was a great challenge and they got really good at skimming rocks. The toilet was clean and my kids thought it was better than many public toilets. Lots of great wildlife and so much space for the kids to play and ride. I will say that the road in and out is pretty rough in some spots. We were in a 4WD and off road camper so it was fine.

Was a great camp spot. Right next to the river. Good for kayaking, swimming and fishing. Just magical waking up to the mist rising up over the massive cliff face as the sun breaks through and illuminates the valley.

Such a cool spot! The view of the walls were incredible and the creek was lovely. Unfortunately we copped poor weather while there but if the weather was nicer I imagine it would have been perfect!
