Come and enjoy an exclusive bush campsite on the outskirts of the historic village of Wolumla, between Bega and Merimbula on the Far South Coast NSW. The small township of Wolumla is within walking distance and consists of a great pub and a general store. A short drive further you'll find Candelo, which has its own pub and general store as well as a showground and the country markets held the first Sunday of each month. Merimbula is 10 mins away with great cafes and shops and beautiful beaches. Campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. Campers are welcome to have a contained campfire, either BYO firewood or collect from the ground. There is plenty to see and do in the area including exploring the nearby National Parks including Bournda and Beowa. Surfing,fishing,sup/kayaking,mountain bike riding and bushwalking/hiking all within close proximity. Wolumla Bush Camp
We loved camping here. Perfect for exploring the area and chilling at the same time. It feels more like a rural campsite than a bush camp being a stone’s throw away from the main road. Super friendly and easy going hosts. Respectful owners mindful of our dog’s needs. Enjoyed chatting with both Julie and David. Dunny is exactly that - a dunny! But we didn’t mind. And our pooch loved the place. Stunning views and amazing campfire set up, both for warming up and cooking. So much wood provided, makes the nightly fee very much worth it. Be wary of ticks, we saw several and I got bitten but we were prepared and so wasn’t an issue. A great experience and wonderful hosts!

We had the most beautiful short stay at Julie and Dave’s campsite with our two small children. The property is incredible, so private and peaceful. It was so nice to stay at such a well appointed and maintained site. Our children absolutely adored the animals, and a huge thank you to Dave for so generously showing us around! So much fun! Already looking forward to returning!

We had a great weekend at Wolumla. The campsite was beautiful overlooking the mountains and very private. Very close to coastal towns such as Merimbula to explore.

What a fantastic spot! Originally booked for two nights, stayed for four. We loved it, so peaceful and relaxing, friendly hosts with great communication throughout. Such a great spot to base to explore the sapphire coast and also to relax and catch a rest. Breathtaking views over the valley. Thoroughly recommend this place!

Ideal Campsite for Anxious Pets

Wolumla Bush Camp
This is a perfect location for a family looking to relax with their dog(s) or for groups with pets. We had hesitation and anxiety about one of our dogs, but the large space and laid back feel allowed us to have a stress free trip, particularly as we had the site to ourselves. The campsite has an impressive view in the morning as the sun stretches over the valley and at sunset. We had a mob of kangaroos bounce through the paddocks one morning, which was a tranquil sight for us all. Julie, Kirk (great name) and David were great hosts, allowing us free access to walk through the massive propriety and offering farm experiences for our boys. Thanks for being such accommodating and welcoming hosts. We home to be back with a larger group.

This site was excellent… communication and directions were friendly and helpful. On arrival the fire pit was prepared and ready for us. The site was peaceful, serene and picturesque. Hosts Julie and David were lovely … and welcoming…. giving advice and tips on the beautiful surrounding area. The location of the property was excellent for us to explore both further south, and surrounding villages. We would not hesitate to recommend for people wanting off grid experience and enjoying the solitude. We would absolutely stay again. Thank you Julie and David for sharing your amazing property .

I loved it here. The views from the campsite are beautiful. There is the “Dunny”, a fire pit and plenty of firewood. Dave and Julie were very welcoming and the most helpful, friendly people. They went out of their way to help and it was so much appreciated. My dog was in his element being allowed to explore off lead, it was sensory overload! If you are looking for a peaceful piece of paradise to stay, with Merimbula and Pambula close by, I recommend this place. Thanks Julie…and Dave…you are a legend!

Wolumla Bush Camp
We loved our stay at Wolumla bushcamp. They only take 1 booking for their site so you have all the views to yourself. Dave dropped in for a chat and a beer and gave some recommendations about things to see and where to eat. The view across the valley is stunning and the kangaroos are good company. We would definitely stay again at this fantastic spot.

What a great place to stay Forest behind you and rolling hills in front. Super welcoming hosts. And a pub down the road. Peaceful serenity great fire pit and plenty of wood Made this one of our favourite places . Oops and I nearly forgot the Dunny with a view. Will definately be back .

I stayed 1 night with my sister and her dog. It was a great area for the dog to have space and feel comfortable and relaxed. Having the whole place to ourselves was a bonus

I booked in for 1 night and stayed an extra 2, that's how lovely it was. I was solo camping for the majority of it and I felt safe and welcomed. The spot had a great fire pit and beautiful outlook over the mountains. It was close to a town if I needed any supplies and Julie and David were great with communication a d checking in that everything was all good. I'll be back for another reset. Thanks guys!

Quiet and private place to camp with beautiful bush and farmland around. We had a lot of rain whilst camped (36mm over 48hrs) and the water drained away very well. Well protected from the wind. There was 8 of us camped in 3 seperate tents and we had plenty of space. We all thought this was our favourite place to camp of our 10 day trip. Really liked the privacy and the fact it's a working cattle farm. The kids loved the cows, horses and kangaroos. Toilet was well maintained and no smell. Great location for access to surrounding sights and activities.

We stayed 8 nights at this lovely spot, using it as a base to explore the Sapphire Coast. Hosts were very kind, location was ideal, and the outlook over the adjoining paddocks was beautiful. Also highly recommend the Wolumba Pub for dinner, their schnitzel is legendary.

We had a lovely time at Woluma, watching the cows across the lane and hills in the distance. Also enjoyed the rather stunning view into the forest from the 'dunny'. Julie and David were nice hosts and good communicators, thank you for a pleasant stay!

We loved our stay Wolumla. Thank you Julie and Kirk and David for sharing it with us. The peaceful views across the paddocks to the mountains were so restful. Level site on the hillside was perfect for our caravan. Access and directions were easy and great location for all our exploring. We’ll be back. Thank you!

David came down to welcome me and next David come down to have a beer and a chin wag. Camp site was excellent lovely grassed area and fire place was great. Nice and quiet with cattle enjoying lush green grass a lovely spot.

Amazing views of the beautiful rolling hills. The sunset and the stargazing were just gorgeous. Campsite had a picnic table, spots for a fire, drop toilet and a levelled spot to set up, which was everything we could have wanted. Very quiet spot even though it wasnt far off the highway. The hosts were lovely, stopping for a chat on their evening walk. Would highly recommend this spot.

Loved this place! Secluded spot, beautiful views and super relaxing. Conveniently placed on our travels, and the kindling in the camp fire was greatly appreciated. Julie was super accommodating and provided clear instructions well ahead of time. Highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely private spot very close to Merimbula. A lovely view over the valley. Lots of space for the dogs to run around safely. Nice surprise of a shower at the council sports ground which was unlocked. Julie was very friendly and helpful too.

Beautiful and secluded setting with everything needed for a one night stopover. Julie’s communication was excellent, making sure we had directions well in advance and had everything we needed once we arrived. Abundant wildlife, amazing views, and all with the doggo in tow! We would love to go back!

Stayed here for two night and will definitely be back. Julie and David were very accomodating often popping through and making sure we were all good. Beautiful scenery, but best of all extremely private, not another person in sight
