Basic camping here, with facilities potentially to come. We just wanted to open the place up to a few people this summer to gauge some interest and see what people though of the location. It’s a top spot, with great locality to Scotts head, but feels as though you’re in the middle of nowhere! Dogs are welcome, but there is wildlife around, and no fences, so please consider. Anything you bring in must be taken out by you (including human and pet waste!). There’s fresh water in town, and the public toilets get cleaned daily. Access can be a bit tricky in periods of high rain, but as long as you stick to the tracks you should be sweet.

Great amenities & setup. The area is very peaceful & was perfect myself, my partner & our two pups. Sam was lovely & very accomodating especially given the short notice.

Would have been nice for Sam to actually stop, the other campers advised us of where we were able to camp . Sam did drive in and out, many times.. the amenities need some serious attention. Some personal interaction with Sam would be appreciated

Accessible, close to town and not overbooked. Suits fairly self sufficient camping, perfect for our camper van. Very reasonably priced.

Great spot to base yourself in Scotts Head and very well equipped for various set ups. The hot shower was amazing and we really enjoyed having a fire and making jaffles up by the big fire pit. Rufus is a super friendly pooch and adorably demanding about having his ball thrown!

A beautiful hidden spot with great amenities. The shower was surprisingly super hot and had a lovely window out into the forest. Would definitely stay again!

Had such a great time at Sams land, Sams a legend was super easy going. place is nice big not many people so nice and quite, perfect little camp kitchen, hot showers, toilet. Would highly recommend and definitely coming back.

Sam’s place was amazing! Peaceful yet so close to everything. We had an amazing time. Campers were close enough yet far enough away from each other. Camp fire made making meals easy. Fridge available for use made store essentials easy. Would 100% come back.

Camping at Way Way Getaway was a great experience - private spots, can have a fire, amenities at your disposal, and also very close to the beach. Would highly recommend this spot!

Great little spot with plenty of room. The amenities are great, especially the hot shower. Sam’s dog is sweet and loves a stick throw. So close to Scott’s Head!!

If you’re looking for a peaceful stay around Scott’s head, this is it. Mid-week I was the only camper. Rufus (the kelpie) kept me company with his beautiful nature. I had everything I need with a hot outdoor shower (amazing!), composting toilet and fire pits around. I’ll definitely be coming back. Ps, bring mozzie repellent, they don’t let up.

Facilities are very minimal so definitely need to be self sufficient, no light at all so get there before dark. Open green space with little light pollution so many stars.

Sam has such a lovely space to camp at. He has a wonderful setup with kitchen, toilet, and shower. On top of that, Sam and Stevie (his amazing dog) were perfect hosts. Will be back if ever in the area again!

We were a little concerned when we first arrived as it wasn't as big as previous hip camps that we had stayed at. Once we found a level spot for our van and a sunny spot for our solar, we were thrilled at how much room there was for our 2 border collies to run. Sam's dog Rufus is a beautiful kelpie and enjoyed sharing his love with everyone It was a quite place to relax take in the nature around us and is so close to the gorgeous beaches, walks & cafes Sam is flexible & easy going and we look forward to many more stays in the future Cheers Ian & Sharn

Man, Sam’s place is awesome!! Heaps of space, heaps of privacy if you want it.. Dogs roamed free and loved.. Sam’s dog is super smart (he gave my cranky old man Staffy space and didn’t annoying him while play with my Mastiff) super friendly and love a chuck of the ball. Great coffee and beaches 5 minutes away.. Mozzies were friendly so take spray and coils as suggested. 10/10 recommend! 10/10 will be back!!

Sam's camping area is amazing and has such a good location. It is close to the beach and many beautiful nearby towns. We camped on this property for 4 days and absolutely loved it!

Lovely private areas and great amenities. Access to a sink and sheltered dining space made dinner and breakfast so simple with a wash up that’s much quicker than other similarly priced options. The outdoor shower was a breath of fresh air and the decorations around the property had a really nice vibe (especially the roaming chickens). We loved the space and had an amazing stay but make sure you bring some mozzy spray because we did find a lot of insects at night and in the morning!

Plenty of room for our tent set up. Nice and flat (though slight gradient for sleeping) No access to toilet or shower so must bring yourself. The drive into space could be problematic for this with low car profiles. This needs to be fixed especially if bringing caravan through.
