PLEASE BE SURE TO READ ALL OF OUR BIO ITS LONG BUT YOU'LL GET ALL THE INFORMATION YOU NEED! We are also available for small Weddings, Birthdays and other functions. Speak to us about using us for a working space for corporate or business trips, collaborations and more......... Watton Airstrip is a stunning property, nestled on the banks of the Macquarie River. Featuring an amazing rustic cabin, nine riverside campsites, along with paddock and bush sites, all 4WD accessible and two equally stunning 2WD accessible sites. You’ll share our spaces with kangaroos, wallabies, emus, echidnas, deer, platypus and more. Enjoy some optional extras, including Tammie's home made bread, farm fresh, free range eggs, or one of our range of grazing platters, home made jams or hot chocolate kits. Or pamper yourself with a Crystal reiki session, or tarot reading. The 2WD accessible sites feature spectacular views to the right, towards Mt Panorama and Mt Horrible and towards Mt Canobolas to the left. Lie back in your swag at night and let the star struck, velvety sky envelope you, or make a booking at the nearby Bathurst Observatory to see the stars up close. Each campsite offers its own unique features for you to enjoy and a hand crafted pit toilet is accessible to those camped along the river bank. Fish or swim in the river, ride your bikes, or set up camp and then head off on an adventure to the Goldfields at Ophir, or History Hill at Hill End via the Bridle Track. Better still, book into a pub crawl with Damo so you can lie back and enjoy the ride. There are plenty of opportunities for 4WDing and bushwalking in the local area. Fires are allowed (fire restrictions permitting). Wood can be collected from fallen wood around the property, or bring your own if you prefer. Pets are welcome for a one off fee per animal. We do ask that pets are supervised at all times and that they do not interfere with farm animals or local wildlife.

The Deep Spot 4WD Only
Will Definitely Return!
This site was beautiful, we had a great time. The deep spot was perfect for those who want a swim, it offers a large fire pit, has plenty of space and is closest to the toilet and bins. The horses and alpacas were cool to see roam around our sites. We met the host Damo who is very welcoming and a great bloke. I can’t wait to go back.

Best campsite ever!
Such a beautiful peaceful place. Easily got our caravan in and out with 4wd. Friendly and helpful hosts with a vast knowledge of the local area. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are about to book another stay!

The Deep Spot 4WD Only
One of the most beautiful properties we have ever seen, let alone had the pleasure of camping on. Several spots along the river with plenty of privacy. Our son enjoyed seeing the horses, chickens and llamas. The owners were so lovely, and Damien even had to help us with our ute and caravan and so kindly spent a couple of hours in the heat giving us a hand! Thank you Tammie and Damo - you're the best!

Rivers Edge 4WD Only
Really enjoyed this spot for some riverside camping, had lovely friendly horses just roaming around the land. Met the host who was very friendly. We purchased a dozen duck eggs and some homemade white bread which was epic, would definitely camp here again

West End 4WD Only
Had a great weekend here in Watton. We loved that our campsite the West End meant we had no campers on our other side. Very spacious and easy access to the river, the river was so clear too! Very generous that there were bins provided for our garbage, it was a very steep descent getting down to our campsite so come prepared. The host was real easy going too. Thanks for having us!
