Wattle Valley Farm is a 100 acre property, bounded by the iconic Wollombi Brook, which many native wildlife call home. We offer a number of campsites for small or large groups, with many sites well-shaded and away from other campers. What makes our property unique: - Private 1.2km brook access with deeper areas (>6ft) perfect for swimming and fishing, and shallow beach areas more suitable for the kids. There is no vehicle access to the brook, and only a short 5min walk from many of the campsites. - A number of on-site bushwalking tracks ranging from 5 minutes to an hour, including the cave walk with local Aboriginal art, the river loop and the more challenging fire trail walk - Family-friendly with plenty of space for ball games, bike riding and picnics - Full bathroom facilities with hot showers and flushing toilets, catering for both ladies and gents - Booking numbers limited to ensure privacy and no overcrowding - Finish each night by your own campfire (pending local restrictions). Acacia Cottage is a recently refurbished modern country cabin on the doorstep of the Hunter Valley wine region, which makes this an ideal base from which to explore everything this region has to offer. The cottage is an oversized studio with comfortable modern amenities, designed by our resident architect. It features a king-sized bed, dining table with chairs, air conditioning, private bathroom and a small kitchen with a fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, cooktop, microwave, cutlery/crockery and tea/coffee supplied. The cabin has a large veranda with picnic table overlooking the idyllic grounds of Wattle Valley Farm. Clean linens, towels and individual soaps/shampoos provided. The cottage is situated on Wattle Valley Farm adjacent to our living quarters and a short walk to the iconic Wollombi Brook. During your stay, you might even come across some of our friendly native residents like wombats, kangaroos, playpus, echidnas, goannas, kookaburras, sugar gliders and black cockatoos.

The cabin was perfectly set up for an easy weekend escape. Beautiful setting and Matt was very welcoming and he and Jenna do a great job of keeping the amenities clean and tidy. Beautiful spot and Matt even organised perfect weather for us.

We had a fantastic stay at Wattle Valley Farm. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The facilities were excellent, with hot showers, clean toilets, and well-maintained grounds that made our stay very comfortable. The peaceful farm setting provided a relaxing escape while still being conveniently located. One of the biggest highlights is the location. Wattle Valley Farm is perfectly situated close to Wollombi and the beautiful Hunter Valley wineries, making it an ideal base for exploring the region's attractions, restaurants, and cellar doors. We highly recommend Wattle Valley Farm to anyone looking for a relaxing country getaway with great facilities and genuinely wonderful hosts. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Wattle Valley Farm. The property is clean, peaceful, great place to unwind and enjoy nature. The owners were very welcoming and greeted us upon arrival, making us feel comfortable right away. They also provided all information we needed during our stay which made everything easy and stress-free. We truly enjoyed our time here and wouod highly recommend it to anyone! Toilets were clean which is a plus. Would definitely be coming back again!

Waratah Cabin
It was one of the decent camping i ever have. All facilities are convenient, nice hosts(includes host’s daughter lol), genuinely clean and neat. I checked in a bit late but still kindly instruct me everything I need to know. Great milk, cave walk, bush walk. Everything was perfectly fit for camping beginner to expert. I would recommend and 100% coming back for exploring more :)

Matt and Jenna's property is a beautiful place to stay, the grounds are immaculate, heaps of space to spread out and they never overbook so it's just right. Facilities are 5 star for camping with hot water showers, flushing toilets, firewood and a camp kitchen. It's 5 minutes from Wollombi with shops, pub and mobile service and surrounded by the lovely hunter wine region. Couldn't fault it, great info and communication from Matt, and I quite enjoyed being unplugged for the whole stay!

Great experience, kids had a great time. There’s short bush walks nearby and river surrounding the campsite. Hosts are lovely and helpful. Short drive to wollombi town. Would definitely stay again.

We loved camping at Wattle Valley Farm. We stayed at campsite 19 which we loved, as it was a little more private then some of the other campsites for our larger group. The amenities were also great and well maintained. It was also in a great location and close to many beautiful wineries which we also visited and would recommend. Will definitely be back again.

Had a great stay overall! The host was very helpful and polite, and the place itself was beautiful. Definitely recommend it. The only downside was a bit of highway noise, but it didn’t bother us too much.

It was amazing piece of land! Matt is a great dude. Straight forward one of the best camping experiences I had. Didn’t have the pleasure to meet Jenna, but im sure she would have as great personality as Matt. I will definitely go there again.

The host family were very friendly and welcoming! I stayed with an 8-person group and had plenty of space to camp. The campsites were clean and spacious. The toilets and showers were well-maintained and had hot water. Something to note is that there is no internet reception but that's to be expected and wasn't a big deal for us, but may be for others. Overall, quite a nice spot - would recommend!

Lovely property, excellent facilities and wonderful hospitality. The caves and brook were lovely and there was plenty of open space for kids to kick a ball and ride bikes. There was some noise from the wedding nearby but the owners make that clear in the description and it didn't go too late. Recommended!

Hosts were very welcoming, friendly & helpful. They have created a great property with tucked away in nature options or out in a field with other people. I still had lots of privacy and the river is wonderful to take a dip in on a hot day. My dog Archie loved it too & will definitely be back.

We had a fabulous weekend at Wattle Valley Farm. Very quiet, lots of room and Joanne was lovely. Bit of road noise, but certainly didn't bother us. There was a wedding on Saturday night and again, it was fine. It was kinda nice to hear so many people having such a good time. We will absolutely be back. 👍

I loved camping at Wattle Valley Farm, been there a few times now, and exceeds expectations every time. Unfortunately we got rained out this time around, but it was still a blast, and would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about staying here! :)

We loved our stay here. Some lovely walks to do and a nice swim spot to float. We took our dachshund and she was having zoomies all the time. We enjoyed a feed at the local pub too.

Camp at Wattle Valley Farm Wollombi
Our first time camping with our youngest (6 yrs) and we all loved it. A large open field with several pitches (marked by campfire sites) and also several other pitches dotted around the bush in nooks. A short walk to the river which was a welcome way to cool off on a 39° day! FYI the water isn't clear. Hot showers and flushing toilets were good. The middle shower in the family room is temperamental and doesn't flow as well as the others. Jenna and Matt were both lovely, approachable and welcoming. The cave walk was short but sweet. Unfortunately we didn't manage to get to do the 45 min loop bush walk...next time! A short drive to Wollombi village and also a great location to explore some of the wineries in Broke. The bridge over the river, to access the site felt a bit scary driving over as it felt narrow (no barriers on the sides), especially in the dark but in looking in the wing mirrors we had a good foot or 2 either side. A successful first trip and already booking another for Easter! Thanks for giving us the bug! I loved this site and would recommend to others.
