I loved the place! It was a really surprise score for us, we didn’t know about the bats in the trees around or the river. What a nice toilet also! One of the best ones we have stayed. But the kitchen really needs some improvement, there was animal (maybe possum ?) poop around the shelves and the kitchen appliances. The kitchen needs some net to protect from the animals and insects. But overall the camping is really lovely and nice.

my friends and I had the best time camping at tyalgum! such a beautiful location with excellent facilities including the kitchen, bathrooms, and power boxes. we loved swimming in the nearby river, checking out the town, and visiting the surrounding national parks! definitely recommend staying here.

We LOVED our time at this camp-site. River swims, pub lunches, cricket games on the oval. It was all perfect! Great bathroom facilities. Highly recommend this destination and this camp!

A Family-Friendly Country Escape

Our family had a wonderful three-night stay at Tyalgum Showgrounds. We absolutely loved waking up to cows roaming in the nearby paddocks – such a peaceful, country experience that the kids especially enjoyed. The grounds were beautifully maintained, with lush green grass throughout, making it a pleasure to relax and let the children play.
The atmosphere was very family friendly, with a welcoming and laid-back vibe that made us feel at home straight away. Another big highlight was the convenient walking distance to the Tyalgum General Store, which has an abundance of organic products, as well as the Tyalgum Hotel, where we enjoyed the swimming pool.
Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable stay, and we would happily return and recommend Tyalgum Showgrounds to other families looking for a peaceful getaway.

I always enjoy my stay at the show grounds. Staff are friendly and happy to help. The pub is a 10 minute walk and often holds events, good meals, dog friendly. I particularly like being ‘out in the country’ with the cattle in the next paddock, the creek, birds singing etc, and yet just an hours drive from Tweed Heads

Easy check in, pick your own site. Powered sites with access to water. Grounds were beautifully kept. Clean amenities. Easy stroll to tyalgum main st and pub. Pub food was really good and bonus that there was a pool & shady beer garden. General store in main st had great coffees. Skate park and cricket pitch next to grounds. Highly recommend.

Tyalgum Showgrounds was a beautiful spot to park up for a few days, stunning scenery with good amenities. We went swimming in some near by creeks and even got to see a platypus in the causeway just down from the campsites.

Caretakers were helpful and friendly. Facilities are everything you need.
Pub, cafe, general store and Gin bar (what more could you need), all within a very short walk. Gorgeous little town. I didn’t put the SUP in or go for a dip (even though it was stinking hot) as getting into the creek is a bit precarious with climbing over rocks etc.

So easy to find a spot that worked for our set up. So close to the town for foodie requirements. We enjoyed walks along the creek and views to the mountains!

Need to have signed information regarding noise limits. We had a car next to us idling his car at 1130pm for 30 mins before we asked him to turn it off. Also told a family across from our site to keep voices down at 11pm and 330am. Disrespect for others. Obviously some people don't have common sense or respect to others.
Besides that the facilities and amenities were fantastic. Would recommend to others

Camping at the Showground totally exceeded my expectations! Setting is beautiful and serene - green mountains, cows wandering.
Amenities block was like new - spotlessly clean, hot showers, spacious.
Camp kitchen was large and rustic style with all the essentials.
Spectacular little town with the Tyalgum hotel within walking distance for a feed. All the little local stores are beautiful and quaint which adds to the charm of this area.

Beautiful peaceful little town and a great campground. Easy walk into town and to the river for a dip.. only thing that needs some attention is the laundry area… will definitely be back!

We loved our stay at Tyalgum campground. I stayed with my adult family in a motorhome, tent and 2 swags and a dog. It was a perfect stay and so reasonably priced. The view was gorgeous, we loved the sound of cows nearby, walked to the river for a swim and the amenities are new and very nice. I loved how they space everyone out so we are not on top of each other. It's a magnificent part of the world. We’ll definitely be back!!!
