Just 10 minutes out of Bingara on the Whitlow Road, Tunlaw Hideaway Retreat is 150 acres of rolling hills. This picturesque property is adorned with bush land, grassy flats, lots of wildlife and farm animals. A photographers delight there are plenty of tracks to walk or bike and two dams for you to swim in. There are multiple campsites and a shower block consisting of a flushing toilet and shower. We have a leave no trace policy and you will need to bring in your own water. Fires are permitted when restrictions aren’t in place. There is a large hill to go up as you first come in but the road is suitable for higher 2WD SUV’s eg Nissan Xtrail and 4WDs. May not be suitable for large caravans however we have towed our Jayco Swan offroad van in and out with ease. If you're unsure about your vehicle send us a message. Bingara is set on the banks of the Gwydir River which is an angler's or kayaker's playground. The township consists of an IGA, Bingara Bakery, Roxy Cafe, Sportsman’s and Imperial hotels and the Sporting club along with the RSL Club. There's more to explore including Batterham’s Lookout, Ruby hill or Three Creeks gold mine for the fossickers, the Glacier Area, Horton Falls, Copeton Waters for boating and water skiing, or why not go on a 2 hr trail ride along the banks of the Gwydir with Wade Horses Bingara. There are multiple campsites to choose from.  Plenty of space to park your caravan, camper trailer or pitch a tent. Campfires are permitted when restrictions aren’t in place so pack your marshmallows and camp ovens. A photographers delight there are plenty of tracks to walk or bike and two dams for you to swim in.
