**Please be aware that for the month of November and December we will not be allowing camp fires due to risk to the crop. If no camp fire would be a disappointment (and we wouldn't blame you for being disappointed given the camp fire is the main activity!), you are best to book for outside this period. Our 300-acre off-grid property backs onto the Barmah National Park. This forest, together with the adjoining Millewa forest, forms the largest River Red Gum forest in the world - it's majestic to explore. Our property is just 500 meters from the Murray River. From your camp, roughly a 1 kilometre walk through the forest. On our boundary is Backwater Creek, which fills with water when the Murray River is up. NOTE: Creek is often dry. It has water in it after environmental flows of the Murray. This can happen several times a year and the water lasts a few months. If you have any questions about water levels please ask before booking as it might be dry when you're here. We're located just 5kms north-east of Moama, where you can hop aboard a paddle-steamer, visit waterside wineries and soak up rich riverboat heritage. We offer a few large, beautiful, basic bush camping sites (the best kind!) in amongst 50 acres of bushland, with 100's of meters and trees between you and other potential campers. The rest of our property is used for cropping and sheep. Campers must take out what you bring in. Mobile phone service and internet is usually reliable, though with long weekends and summer school holidays the service seems to disappear! Completely. We suggest downloading (before leaving home) your Spotify faves and Maps for this area then you can't go wrong. *Please feel free to book anyone in your possie that is under 18 as a child.

**Please be aware that for the month of November and December we will not be allowing camp fires due to risk to the crop. If no camp fire would be a disappointment (and we wouldn't blame you for being disappointed given the camp fire is the main activity!), you are best to book for outside this period. Big Bama Bush Camp is nestled in the bush around a beautiful natural pond that can sometimes be dry and other times brimming full.  Location is tucked away offering plenty of privacy, 300 meters from our house and 150 meters from No 3 camp site. .  It's ideal for a larger group with multiple families or friends having some quality camping time together! There is room for 5 or more caravans to spread out through the bush. Please feel free to book any one under 18 as a child when you make your booking. This camping spot looks out across Back Water Creek to Bama Forest. Absolutely awesome for walks. Back Water Creek doesn't have permanent water in it, only when the river is running high.  The Murray is about a 20 minute walk from here along the creek. Big Bama Bush Camp is complete with it's own concrete cattle trough which makes for a perfect paddling pool or place to hang your legs in the water while enjoying a beer on a hot day. It can be filled with river water that we have piped down to the camp. At this stage we have one tap servicing the area.  We now have a cold water outdoor shower.. in summer the water is warm from the poly pipe.   Big Bama now has a flushing toilet and hot shower shared with No 3. it is about a two minute walk. Friendly dogs are welcome, on a leash .  Please clean up after them :) The ground surface is dirt with plenty of leaf litter and bark lying around. The site is quite flat, though roughly 50mm of levelling might be required.

No 3 Is nestled amongst the trees looking over the Back Water Creek. With our cropping paddock one side of you and the Bama National park the other. Walk to the Murray river is under 2km one way. Also a nice drive if you leave our property and drive the in forest on the designated tracks. The river is ever changing, though last time we visited opposite where the Goulburn meets the Murray, was a lovely sandy swimming spot. There is a toilet and hot shower about 100 meters from camp and is shared with the Big Bama camp site. Also an outdoor shower for No3, right in the camp. A site toilet can hired from Echuca Central Hire if you are not keen on the little walk :). About $160 for a weekend. They can usually deliver. Friendly dogs are welcome. Please clean up after the fur babies. The ground surface is dirt with plenty of leaf litter and bark lying around. The site is quite flat.

Loved our stay at the Big Barma campsite. Great area with the added bonus of good amenities (I was very happily surprised by the hot shower!). A good spot for four of us and a dog, but would be very suitable for a much larger group. Thanks Kerry and Ben!

Little Bell Glamping Tent
Totally awesome glamping tent setup. Super comfy bed and just the right amount of creature comforts to feel right at home, but still feel like you’re getting away from ‘it all’. Loved the thoughtful fairy lights and outdoor bath. Added to that magical factor. Kerry was also super communicative and flexible, gave great reccos for things to do in town. 5 stars.

Great site - wish we could stay longer. Kerry was very friendly and welcoming. Peaceful setting.. loved the big old trees, kookaburras and watching the squawking cockatoos with a cuppa by the campfire. We were the only ones there but there is enough space between campsites - I don’t think you’d hear or see them anyway if you’re looking for seclusion. Shower and toilet were great. Short 8 min drive into Moama if you need to pick up drinks/supplies, swim at Moama beach or go to the pub! Moama has a market on every second Sunday - worth a look if you’ve timed it well. Cheers

A slice of heaven in the trees

Kerry was so welcoming and wonderful! Even when I turned into the wrong property despite some very clear instructions! The campsite was rustic, quiet, full of birds (Sacred Kingfishers, Shrike Thrush and of course Cockatoos) and the odd roo popping in and out of view across the creek. But the shower - THE SHOWER!! - instant hot water, private setting and a lovely view from the little window; it was not just a shower, it was an EXPERIENCE! And after days on the road, completely needed. Then the campfire brazier at the site was so wonderful. There was ample wood to be gathered from the beautiful gums around us and the combination of crackling fire, birdsong and the sound of the wind through the trees meant I had a relaxing dinner, early night, a restful sleep and a beautiful morning wake-up. I will definitely come back the next time I pass by. I enthusiastically recommend Tooranie, regardless of whether you are after a quiet getaway or a place to bring the family. I only wish that I’d had longer to stay and explore!

The hosts were amazing really great communication and made us feel welcome. There was plenty of space at the campsite and beautiful walks and bird life in the forest which ran along the property. The kids enjoyed playing games and swinging in the hammock. The amenities were really handy, hot shower and toilet were clean and well kept. We will definitely be back.

This is a great camp, I’d highly recommend it. The hosts are great, they’ve done a great job of of keeping the setting as a bush camp but have nice touches to make life easy. Like a water tap, perfect for putting the fire or a quick wash down.

We have gone to loads of campsites Australia wide and this is by far one of our favs! So peaceful and secluded with loads of space - perfect for a group camping trip. Kerry was fantastic and great with communicating. Toilet and shower were clean, campfire was amazing, ground was level and perfect for tents and located close to town for when we need to grab something but far enough that it still made you feel like you're right in the outback. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Such a great spot in a peaceful and beautiful setting. If you’re after complete privacy and tranquility this is it! Loved the rustic shower and the cute lights leading the way. Perfect location with shops only a short drive away. The kids enjoyed the walk along the creek alongside the majestic the red gum forest and the views of the Murray river at the end.. Thanks Kerrie and Ben - we will definitely be back!

Everything you could possibly want. River water shower and additional water at No 3, flushing toilet and hot shower for communal use. Flat sites, beautiful view of the sunset. Really well maintained, easy to access and great, quick comms. Would highly recommend and stay again. Couldn’t fault it or Kerry and Ben’s hospitality.

A Perfect Getaway
Little Bell Glamping Tent
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. What sets Little Bell apart is its seamless fusion of rustic charm and contemporary luxury. The flushing toilet, hot water river water shower and (new!) bath are game-changers, offering all the convenience of home without sacrificing the immersive outdoor vibe. Kerry and Ben have clearly poured their hearts into making every stay special and it shows! Little Bell is only a 10-15 minute drive into Echuca, so a perfect base to go and explore the beautiful Portside town and all it has to offer. Despite being so close to the town, this place is any Australian outdoor lovers paradise - feels like a true home away from home. Thank you so much for providing those who are lucky enough to come and visit the most serene experience possible!

Great secluded spot on edge of State Forest but still close enough to Echuca/Moama for any necessities or activities. A bit of a walk to Murray River but the on-site cow trough/dip pool was available to cool off in. Plenty of firewood supplied in each paid for barrow load. A beautiful black lab may come visiting. Hosts very friendly and easy going. We’ll be back.

Great spot tucked away from busy campsites and holiday parks. The site was fenced which gave me security with my dog. The outdoor shower on site is a great addition and toilet + hot shower nearby were very handy. I’d definitely recommend

We had a great time. The site was lovely and peaceful. The hardest part was deciding where to set up! The toilet and shower was way better than we expected - is it wrong to call a toilet pleasant?? Well worth it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kerry and Ben’s place! They responded quickly to messages and all directions to the property were exact! We were met at the property by Ben only a few minutes after we arrived! They have thought of everything to make your stay amazing ! Thank you for having Sean and myself - we had a great time ☺️

We had an amazing time at Kerry and Ben's camping spot. The place was so serene and private. It was lovely being away from the busy town but then a quick drive to get there if we needed anything. Lots of shade and so much space to set up camp and the kids to run around. The water tank pool was great to keep the kids cool and the outdoor shower great to rinse off. The shower and toilet were fantastic, made the trip just that much better. One of the best hipcamps we have stayed at.

I loved the peace and quiet at Tooranie. The natural bush setting, with birds and the natural bushland of the Barmah State forest. Kerry was very welcoming and an easy going person. I opted for a tent with a double bed wich was very comfortable. And very close to the town of Echuca and Moama.
