Nestled in the heart of nature's untouched beauty, Toombooloomoobah offers an exclusive retreat that promises an unforgettable experience for you and your group. Just a stone's throw away from Termeil, Bawley Point, Pigeon House, Shallow Crossing, and Brooman, this 160-acre haven, with about 20 acres on the western side of the river, becomes your private escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The base price comfortably accommodates 6 people, but don't worry, there's plenty of room for everyone, with a capacity stretching to cater for 30+ guests. Imagine setting up camp in an open grassy space, where Blue gum trees cast gentle shadows, and the nearby forested river banks call for exploration. The property features an open shelter with an undercover fireplace and a covered communal area, perfect for those evenings spent recounting the day's adventures or simply enjoying the company of friends and family. Practical amenities such as two drop toilets and two rainwater tanks ensure your stay is comfortable. The campsite, adorned with water gums, casuarinas, blue gums, myrtle, tea tree, lomandra, and native grasses, sits in harmonious balance with the surrounding landscape. For those who love to immerse themselves in nature, Toombooloomoobah does not disappoint. A small grassy area near the main river crossing and waterhole offers the perfect spot for a picnic, a peaceful afternoon by the river, or a playful splash in the waterhole. Wildlife enthusiasts will be thrilled with the opportunity to spot goannas, water dragons, wombats, possums, kangaroos, wallabies, and a plethora of bird species that call this place home. While the property is usually accessible by 2WD, adventurers with 4WD will find it an exciting challenge after heavy rains. We cherish the tranquility and pristine condition of Toombooloomoobah, and as such, we invite groups who share our respect for this magnificent environment. Come and create memories that will last a lifetime, surrounded by the natural beauty and serenity of Toombooloomoobah. An exclusive spot for you and your group, Toombooloomoobah is close to Termeil, Bawley Point, Pigeon House, Shallow Crossing and Brooman. The property is 160 acres with roughly 20 acres on the western side of the river. Base price covers 6 people, with capacity for up to 30+.  There is an open shelter with an undercover fireplace and covered communal area. There are two drop toilets, and two rain water tanks for water. The camping area is situated in an open grassy space with Blue gum trees sprinkled around, and adjacent to the forested lower river banks. Water gums, casuarinas, blue gums, myrtle, tea tree, lomandra and native grasses cover the river banks.  There is a small grassy area just meters from the main river crossing and waterhole swimming area. It's a good spot to spread out a picnic, pitch a kids tent, have a fire or laze around next to the river. There is a second access to the river on the northern end of the camp which leads down to the water pump site on the top side of the waterhole. You are likely to see goanna, water dragon, wombat, possum, kangaroo, wallaby and lots of birds.   The neighbours to the north have a motorbike track on the western side of the river, roughly 400 metres from the camping area. It is not visible, but you can hear them when there are people there.  2WD can normally access the property. When the conditions are wet it becomes challenging and if really wet accessible only by 4WD. NOTE: We do not accept rowdy, disrespectful groups here. You MUST respect the property, the river, the wildlife, and Leave No Trace.

Great private bush camp. The undercover area was perfect - we didn’t expect to use it but with poor weather it was a game changer, especially the undercover fire which we had going all day. And the kids loved the space. Just to be aware if you are going in summer, the cicadas were deafening especially down at the river. Meant we couldn’t spend too long down there on the warm days. But the river was cool and flowing, just very rocky so bring some reef shoes!

Picture perfect camp site with wild life galore! What can be better than sharing camp fire meals under a star lit sky with family. The rainwater tanks and undercover areas just add to this wonderful part of the world. Many thanks to Matt and Trish for sharing their stunning property with us.

Super private, so much space and great undercover and cooking area. The table and benches provided make it perfect for a larger group. We didn't see another human while here and had a super relaxed weekend.

Pure bliss

Beautiful and peaceful. Would be absolutely perfect for larger groups, with the undercover shed area and excellent fire pit. Table and benches provided, which was very convenient. Lots of flat ground to pitch a tent or park your RV. The drive in was a little bumpy in a 2WD, but manageable. Lots of friendly wildlife including; black cockatoos, wallabies and even a wombat (in the early hours of the morning!)

A beautiful week at a gorgeous location. Lots of swimming in the river, playing in the field (the kids) and soulful conversations (the adults). Great to have tank water, pit toilets and a sheltered communal area with a fire pit. Everything you need!

Great campsite in lovely setting. Handy to have some shelter already there for your camp kitchen. Would love to go back soon.
