Located 2.5 hrs south of Sydney and 2.5hrs east of Canberra The Wandy Donkey Camp offers 150 acre property for you to rest without the hustle and bustle of the south coast. Created for couples wanting to rough it! Meaning you bring everything yourself. With a natural stream that traverses the property there is much for you to observe and enjoy. Watching the Cows and Sheep graze or admiring the Alpacas long necks. There is also a Donkey Tour you can book into whilst on the farm. You will be able to sit with nature by the little stream watching for the wombats, kangaroos and lizards as they do their thing. Only 20 minute drive to nearest beaches, you can enjoy some great cafes and restaurants around the local Shoalhaven area. Head west up the mountain to beautiful Jerrawangla lookout and Tianjara Falls. Located in the heart of the Shoalhaven, The Wandy Donkey Camp is central to all your experiences. Kate your host, has a wealth of local knowledge that will get you started on your South Coast adventure. This is a, you bring, you take, experience leaving no physical trace behind. But leaving with a great story to share with your loved ones. You want to book in for a relaxing massage or an adventurous farm tour Kate will hook you up. All you have to do is ask.

Large area campsites, nice views, easy to find, highlight was the animals that visited (sheep and alpacas). 20 minutes away from beautiful beaches. Lovely host.

Great experience
We had a wonderful time at The Wonkey Donkey Campsite. Kate was absolutely great, easy to deal with and very friendly. Scenery was beautiful and close to wonderful spots around the south coast. Would highly recommend canping here!

Sleep with the sheep! Loved it!
The camp was gorgeous!!! Woke up next to sheep grazing. Star light up the sky at night. The campsite was wide open and well kept. Felt so safe and Kate was lovely! Easy access and close to town. We waited at the gate and the neighbors were out walking, followed by their chickens. They were also so friendly and chatty. Great to know you are in a good neighborhood! Loved it.

The Wandy Donkey Camp
Privacy + close to Jervis Bay
If you’re looking for a private place to camp without the hustle and bustle of a big camp ground Wandey Donkey may be just the spot. We enjoyed being the only people in the paddock. While we could see a couple of other vans in the distance, we were so far away we barely knew they were there. There’s no facilities to speak of, but let’s be honest, that’s probably the reason you’re looking for this place. If you can’t be without your devices you’ll be happy to know there’s decent service (we are on Telstra). Another big reason we chose this place was the proximity to everything around the Jervis Bay area. A quick and easy drive to so many wonderful attractions, or just kick back and enjoy the farm surrounds. Easy access right to the front gate on paved roads, but a bit of rough stuff on the farm to get to our spot - no problem for us in our 2wd van, but could be a challenge for a lower car. Kate was easy to deal with ahead of time and unobtrusive during the stay. Would absolutely recommend this place for those wanting somewhere quiet to camp close to Jervis Bay.
