PLATYPUS CREEK
Firstly leading up to my one night stay the weather had been terrible with 24hrs of heavy rain. I reached out to Tom to get some feedback on the conditions and if it was even possible to stay and set up. He didn’t respond until 3 days after my stay….not very helpful. I ran the gauntlet and managed to find a dry spot. Now I know it’s a working farm but the cows were way too friendly and decided to use my car as a back scratcher which also ended up scratching my car. ☹️ Kids had fun but started to get bored pretty quick. Glad I only did 1 night.

PECAN TREE GROVE, RIDGE & SURROUNDS
Pecan Tree Ridge was a lovely spot to stay while we attended Blues Fest over Easter. We have an AWD and on road van so not all camping areas were open to us. Lots of space between campers. Really picturesque. Great to have portaloos on-site, though our closest weren't accessible due to a small dam outlet with no walking access (A simple plank to walk on would be helpful, so we didn't have to negotiate the deep, watery mud). We enjoyed our stay very much particularly being able to have a fire. Lovely have cattle mooching around, although one mum became quite protective of her calf on one walk to the loo - gave my husband a bit of a fright.

Surrounds were beautiful. Added bonus of being in close proximity was a nice touch. Peaceful and serene settings made it easy to rest and relax
