Pitch your tent on what used to be an air strip for local farmers and enjoy access to 100 acres of rolling hills, forest and a creek all to yourself. The property is a 10-minute drive to Taralga where you can pick up fresh delights from the bakery Grand Ettie, unwind at one of two amazing pubs, including the hatted Argyle Inn or Taralga Hotel, and browse boutiques. Need to entertain the family? Head to Wombeyan Caves (now open) or Taralga Wildlife Park. A little about us (Hannah and Craig): we are a young couple who live in Canberra and recently purchased the property. We plan to build on the property but want campers to enjoy the beautiful nature and wildlife in the meantime. What an awesome property and even more inviting hosts. Hannah was very prompt responding to any and all queries our group had leading up to the stay which is always helpful when travelling the distance to properties like this. Can’t change the unfortunate weather we had however this only means we’ll need to return to enjoy it while the suns out. Highly recommend this property to any an all travellers!

Beautiful area to camp, lovely hiking spot to the creek. Just very squishy when driving around if there has been rain/snow.

Can’t wait to come back!
We’ve been camping here twice now and we can’t wait to come back again. The property is private and spacious with plenty of room for our pup to explore and play. Drop toilet is an easy walk from the camp ground! Hannah is a lovely host, extremely helpful and contactable if need be! We love camping here

Great place to get away from all.
If you like a big open space with a big clear view of the sky at night this is the place for you. Get back to basics. My kids loved camping here.

Quiet Bush Camp
We had a great stay at the Old Airstrip! Hannah was accommodating, friendly and quick to respond to messages. The nearby Argyle Inn served a fantastic meal. The long drop was a bonus
