Set in the Capertee Valley, New South Wales, Upper Nile is nestled at the end of the road coming from Glen Alice. Surrounded by Majestic Cliffs our spectacular Valley invites people to take it all in, to make memories and get out amongst the landscape... Campers can chill out with friends, hike, explore, swim, take pics of wildlife, birds, help the owner or chat about living off grid. With shallow creeks , swimming hole, heated spa with a view, BBQ, picnic table, Cliffs, hiking/bushwalking, mountain biking, feeding the cows, sheep or chickens - you will have a great time. Don't forget the hot shower and flushing toilets. Campers can have private sites away from others or with multiple friends and their set ups! Our Local coffee shop based in Glen Alice, called From The Paddock is open Thursday to Sunday and offer great coffee, and food. Local sites also include Glen Davis, Dunns Swamp and the Glen Alice Trail. Bird lovers from all over the world come to explore the vast range of birds that call our valley home either full time or part of their residence of choice! As one of the worlds top 11 sites for bird watching, make sure to have your camera readying Get amongst nature, explore, rest and unwind. Fire pits available (some with bbq plate). Amazing views, gas bbq and picnic table on the hill also here to enjoy. We also have cabins and or tiny houses available for accomodation. Self contained with kitchenette and bathroom. Offering spectacular views you won't be disappointed with well travelled guests saying the view is some of the best in the world without the mass of tourists around! . Note: we are a quiet camp, family, and pet friendly, meaning a place of rest and adventure, not a place to blast music and annoy others. Please take parties, loud music elsewhere! Check out the stars that fill the clear night sky, the majestic cliffs that surround with the Wollemi National park, or the natural swimming hole, Hikes, kangaroos, wallaby’s, wombats and more! We have 2 tiny homes. Both are uniquely located and capture the beauty and serenity of the valley. Contact us to confirm availability… People speak highly of their time here, and love the star filled night skies, the cliffs that surround, the Wollemi National Park at our doorstep, hiking, wildlife even waking up to wallabies out your window, hot fire heated baths with a view, the spa and more! Fully self contained… Toilet, shower, air conditioning, cooking facilities, Decks, fire pits, Plunge pool/Spa with a view, bbq with a view, fridge, Wifi… If you have other family of friends they can camp in your vicinity or further afield and they just need to apply as campers… Let us know if you are interested to book the cabin as they are listed on other platforms and often book out. Seemed like we had the whole valley to ourselves. No phone. No TV. Nobody within cooee! Just kangaroos, birds, a friendly wombat and a few gorgeous looking cows batting their long eyelashes at us. Perfect escapism. Loved it.

This was my first time camping and I couldn’t have found a better place than the Nile for my new experience. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to access the toilets and showers which was initially a huge worry for me. The camping site was vast and peaceful and waking up to the beautiful landscape of surrounding mountains made me forget about my busy life in the city. I highly recommend The Nile and will be happy to return there. It also has WiFi which was another pleasant surprise!

We had such an amazing time at The Nile! Jacob and Mandy were such great hosts. From the moment we arrived we were greeted and helped to select the perfect site for our group's needs, and the hospitality was amazing throughout our whole stay. Our kids had an amazing time discovering all the farm had to offer and meeting all the animals. And the spa was a perfect way to end the day. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

Absolute amazing! The property has great views and straches quite long, so there are many sections of camping opportunities without having a neighbour next to you. The hosts where also very lovely and made sure we all had a great stay. The facilities are clean and perfect for all needs. A bonus for us for the private 4wd track on the property and the kids loved it. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this place to others.

It was our first time camping, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. The location is absolutely stunning, and everything about our stay was perfect. There’s plenty of space to set up camp, giving you the freedom to choose your spot, we stayed near the hilltop cabin, where our friend was based. The cabin itself is beautiful and well-equipped with everything we needed. On top of that, Mandy and Jacob were wonderful hosts, warm, welcoming, and incredibly kind. We’ll definitely be coming back.

We loved our stay at The Nile! found a quiet little spot all to ourselves on a busy weekend and had our own little piece of paradise. There are so many spots and so much to explore! Owners are also very friendly and nice. Great experience!

We stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights and all the time we enjoyed the place… no light pollution at night so you would enjoy the stars while staying warm in you campfire.. in the morning theres lots of these to explore..kids can play with rabbit(their dog), chase chickens and feed the cow and sheep’s.. adults can have a bath in the swimming hole or take a trek up the Glen alice..there is a hot bathtub on top of the hill overlooking the properly to enjoy..we will definitely go back and probably will stay longer!

The camping spot is amazing and you can real relaxing without mobile reception. we did hiking for national park for 3.5hours with 4 years twin toddlers which was challenging, but we did. Thank you for your warmful host.

Situated in a beautiful valley, the Nile offers a unique hybrid option of camping close to a cabin while getting to experience a stay in a farm. The hike up the mountain was amazing. We received a really warm welcome and was well taken care of. Perfect for amateur campers/ families with little kids

We stayed overnight at The Nile 2 at Upper Nile and it was such a peaceful little escape. The place is quiet, surrounded by nature, and has a really calm atmosphere that makes it easy to slow down and just enjoy the surroundings. It’s a 2.5 hr drive from Sydney and perfect if you’re looking for a quiet getaway to rest and recharge. Hope to come back for at least two nights next time.

Our family and friends loved this campsite! They had clean hot showers and toilets, a spa, bbq, and an outdoor dining area. We set up camp away from the amenities to get a good view of the valley, and weren’t disappointed. It was a bit far so we had to drive to the amenities block whenever we needed to use the toilet. Just be aware that cows roam around freely, but they never bothered us. It is a working farm at all. Mandy and Jacob were incredible hosts, and the Glen Alice community was so lovely. Tip: Check out the Paddock café, a local gem!

It was my first time at The Nile this weekend, but I will definitely come back! Many and Jacob are such lovely hosts! The farm is off-grid, so you need some off-road skills to get there. But even I, on my touring bike, managed to get there. When you arrive, you can choose where to stay, and with so much space, you're sure to find your favourite spot!

Great place to camp, wonderful hosts, good amenities located centrally, camp sites spread out so you have own space. Located in a valley with lots to explore. Option to order firewood was convenient. They have a rubbish tip so don’t have to cart rubbish back, like some places. Recommend the place as it’s very well organised and accommodating. Will be going back.

Nile Offgrid farm stay My wife & I stayed at Nile Offgrid Family Farm over the Australia Day long weekend in our teardrop camper & it was absolutely amazing, We were looking for a camp ground that wasn’t overcrowded like others we’ve stayed at before and we couldn’t get it any better! The campsites are spaced apart enough that you are not in each other’s pockets and this then enables you to truly embrace the off grid camping experience. We made use of the spa pool on the hill in the mornings and afternoons. We were able to top up our water bottles & 20l water container at the filtered tap near the main area which also had three toilets & showers. All in all it was a very relaxing and pleasant stay, we will definitely be back 🙌
