Unfortunately the “creek crossings” listed by the host did not reflect the reality of the situation. Contacted host in previous days for update on “conditions” in the presence of heavy rains. But on the day, we found strong water flows over all 4 “creek crossings”. With our lack of local knowledge of the “base” of these crossings, continuing rains, water levels rising from uphill/up stream, we believe the host didn’t meet his duty of care to update us on the actual conditions of the water crossings. We believe if we had stayed, we may have been “cut off” & isolated beyond our booking. In dry conditions, it may be a great spot, but we’ll never know.

I love the semi rual vibes the creek was lovely to swim in. I felt incredibly at peace when arriving at camp. The track to camp was very muddy,rocky would recommend 4x4. The kids had amazing time exploring the natural waters and playing in the field at night i will definitely be back.

Most peaceful & private stay we have had! We camped right by the running creek that had a lovely swimming hole for us all to enjoy! An open field for the kids to run around in, was just perfect.

Amazing little camping spot, very quiet. Directions were difficult to follow but I figured it out relatively quick. It’s just all the way at the end of pigabeen Rd. Made it across the creek crossings no problem - even with a lowered car. Very good, would stay again

A little disappointed as when I got to where the address took me I couldn’t pass through the 20cm deep creek in my 2wd van even though the listing says it’s 2wd friendly. I contacted Ronald before 6:30pm and got no response at all, not even the next day. I ended up parking up what I guess was outside the property so I didn’t feel the safest and paid for a Hipcamp I didn’t actually stay at

Beautiful site with a lovely creek going right the way through it. Great little area of bush with plenty of scenic sites for a camp. Lots of cows and calfs also!

I asked a question on the app about where we could light the firewood we ordered at about 7pm and got no reply until near 2am.
Cows were surrounding our campervan in the field which was fine but there was a bull amongst them also so we couldn’t settle in right.

It was a really good time even with the rain. Ronald, the owner was really nice and took us his buggy for a funny trip cross the creek ! The place is fantastic with horses and friendly cows. Nice creek and lake with a rope to swing. Huge property, so calm and nice. Thanks to Simon for all good time we spend ! We will never forget !

Absolutely lovely place could stay there for weeks. Man that stays there was lovely only recommendation would be better signage as it’s very hard to work out where to go when getting there after hours.

Great location - only 20 minutes to the Gold Coast airport, but remaining very rural, peaceful and tranquil.
In spite of the horrendous weather we felt safe and secure

The kids, dogs and I loved tent camping on Ronald’s land! The land was gorgeous and the creek was so fun for the kids to play in. Simon, the caretaker, was so welcoming and helpful. He brought us some bread to feed the friendly cows.
I was able to access the site with my Prius, though if it has been raining a lot, a vehicle with better clearance would be more suited due to some low creek crossings when entering the property. A 4wd would be ideal to access all the different camping spots.
Lots of room to run around and plenty of peaceful, secluded areas to pitch the tent. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely beautiful place, we were able to relax and unwind in a lovely peaceful setting. Sadly we had to cut our stay short due to solar issues, but will definitely be back!

We loved our night on Ronald's land. It was a beautiful spot with lots of cows and horses around which was fun. Would defo recommend.
There are small creeks you need to cross to get there but our car managed.

Indications were unclear, impossible to find in the dark, and the host is no help, his phone number is disconnected and there is no service to contact him through hipcamp, but even if you do find any he won’t answer until the next day. The adresse listed is the wrong one, and the host will not meet and greet upon arrival. We arrived at 7:30 and this was already too late for him so without help we could not find the campsite and we were forced to find a spot to sleep last minute and pay a lot more money to sleep somewhere safe. Following this, the host was hard to talk to and I had to argue with him to get a refund. Overall a very unpleasant experience, I did not see the campsite, had to pay a lot more to sleep somewhere else last minute, the host was unpleasant by messages and it took many days of back and forth messages to convince him to return our money.
I do not recommend dealing with this host.

If you want to get deep into nature, this is the place!
Simon was welcoming and kind.
There is a little 4WD track in the back of the property which is cool. We couldn’t go much further due to our car but recommended if you’re equipped.
The only bad thing is that the creek was a bit dirty but didn’t affect us.

This was such a wonderful spot! We had a quiet campsite right on the creek, purchased a firewood pack which lasted us enough for the night & everything was perfect. The friendly cattle even wondered right up to our camp, would definitely recommend!!

We loved our stay here!! Beautiful creek and plenty of sites with fire pits. Very peaceful and private. Cattle roaming the property was awesome. Will definitely be coming back.
